"Are you going with us? The meeting will start in 30 minutes." his brother asked her.
"Do you think I could be part of this big project? It's been two years since I stop practicing our profession." She sighed. "Besides, I don't know if I could face him. I don't know if I could still work like I used to do."
"Shobe, you are a talented and skillful doctor. That's innate to you. As for him. I don't know the answer. But we will never know until you were in that situation. He's part of this project. You still have 30 minutes, so make up your mind." Jeffrey calmly said. "I'll be heading now. Mom is in the conference room now. She will be disappointed if both of us will not be showing in the meeting on time. You know the woman." Then he released a chuckle before he left her.
She smiled. He's right. Everything that her brother said was right. She released a deep breath. It's been two years since she left her country and went to America with her mother and brother. "How are you Rein?" she whispered to herself. "Are you mad at me? Are you happy with Clara now? Do you still remember me?" a tear from her left eye fell. She wipes it immediately.
A call from the nanny of her son pulled her back to reality. "Yes, Mrs. Co? How is my little angel?" She stopped when she heard a loud scream from the other line. "Why? Alright. I'll meet you in the lobby."

"Alright. We need to go now. Dr. Sue, please come with us. We need someone who will take down notes for us."
"Yes, Dr. Kim." Dr. Sue attentively responded.
"Dr. Lee, you will be the main representative of our hospital. You will be one of the project heads. I know I could count on you." Dr. Kim seriously said to Rein.
Rein with such seriousness in his face nodded. "I'll do my best Dr. Kim".
"I know." Dr. Kim smiled. "Then shall we go?"
The two doctors nodded as they respond.
"Dr. Kim, we could cross the main lobby. From there, the conference room is just a minute away." Dr. Sue suggested.
The two doctors agreed on him. They took the hallway that would bring them to the hospital's main lobby.
They were a meter away from the lobby when they heard a baby's cry who is screaming some word that is similar to "Papa."
"I think that's the baby boy at the Hospital Garden earlier." Dr. Sue is talking to Dr. Lee. But the later didn't respond. When they reached the lobby, they confirm that Dr. Sue is right. The old lady in her white scrub suit is holding a crying baby boy. Screaming the word they recognized as "Papa". His eyes are so puffy and cheeks are now crimson red.
When they passed the old lady and the baby, Rein caught his eyes. He stopped. He didn't know what happened to him. But he felt sad and wanted to hug the baby. He turned his heels back and went near them. The old lady was shocked but eventually smiled at him.
"Papa! Pa-pa!" he is now coughing. When he saw Dr. Lee, he stretched out both arms to him.
Dr. Rein held him and pulled him closer to his chest. Eventually, the baby stops crying. He leaned his cheeks against the base of his neck and hugged him. "Papa."
"I guess Baby Rein thought you are his father." the old lady uttered.
Rein was shocked upon hearing the baby's name. The other two doctors, Dr. Sue and Dr. Kim almost drop their jaws.
"What? What is his name again?" Rein can't help to get nervous. First, it was obvious that the baby really likes him. Then it was very unlikely that they have resembling features. The eyes and lips of the baby are very similar to him. Then this. They have the same name.
"Rein. I called him Baby Rein." The woman smilingly said.
"Dr. Lee.." Dr. Sue said to him. They were obviously in great shock.
Rein was about to say something when he noticed that the old lady was caught by the presence of someone else. He turned his head to the direction where the old lady is looking at.
"She is the mother of Baby Rein." The old woman behind him said.
"Chaelle..." he softly whispered.
Dr. Sue and Dr. Kim eventually look at the direction where Dr. Lee's eyes were at.
"Dr. Yoon." Dr. Sue automatically held his mouth.
Still holding the baby, he slowly walks toward her. Michaelle was also shocked. But it is apparent that she is nervous at that time. She didn't say a thing when the man that she left for 2 years now is standing in front of her. Holding her son who fell asleep in his arms.
Their eyes met. But no one says a word. Staring at each other is more than enough. They were talking with their eyes. When Michaelle retrieved her eyes and looked down, Rein's eyes get sad. Then it turns out to something. Something that she never wanted to see. Its fury. He was mad at her. Well, she had already expected it. Then she saw him walk away from her. He returned the sleeping Baby Rein to his baby sitter and leave with the other doctors. Chaelle held his chest as if she is having a heart attack. The baby sitter went near her.
"Ms. Chaelle...are you alright?" She knows that the lady is not fine. But she didn't know what to say.
"Mrs. Co. He...that guy...he is Baby Rein's father." then a stream of tears started to pour down. "He is his father. It was my fault. All my fault that he's very mad at me."
The old lady held her shoulder to comfort her. But it made her cry even louder.

"Ok. If there are any questions, this is the best time to raise it." Dr. Jeffrey Chen asked the team.
"Estimated duration of the project would be a year or two right?" One of the team members asked.
"Yes. Like what I have said earlier, and to make it fast, you will be working in a group. The main key persons in each group will be two. So you could have still time to take some rest or do unwind." Dr. Chen said. "Any other questions?" When nobody speaks up.
Dr. Chen turns his next slide. "Here. This would be the list of your assigned group and partner."
"Dr. Lee." Dr. Sue whispered.
"Yes, I know." He whispered back. He clenched his fist and looked sharply at the name beside his. "Dr. Michaelle Yoon." he bitterly said. It means that he will be working hand-in-hand with her ex-girlfriend. The woman who left him and gave him so much pain.

It's been a week since they started the planning period. Based on their timeline of work, planning would last for a week only. Then the first phase which will be the collection of data should be started in the second week. Rein was quietly flustered during the planning period. The reason was, of course, his project partner. Luckily, she was not around for a week now.
"Ok, that's all for this week. Next week, data collection. Thank you to all of you and good luck! You may go now." Dr. Jeffrey Chen, the head of this project said.
Dr. Chen gets the attention of Dr. Lee who was about to go out of the conference room.
"Dr. Lee, can I have a minute?" Dr. Chen asked him.
Dr. Kim, who had heard Dr. Chen nodded to Dr. Lee as if saying he had his approval.
The two seated across each other. It was Dr. Chen who breaks the silence. "Michaelle already told me about Rein. I mean her child. Your child."
Rein gasped upon hearing the word "your child". But he maintains himself calm even though it was obvious that his body is trembling.
"I was not in the right place to tell you everything. But before anything else, I should formally introduce myself to you. My relation to Michaelle as his older brother."
Rein's eyes widened because of a great surprise. He didn't know that the two were related as siblings. Back in the cruise deck, he thought that Michaelle and Dr. Jeffrey were a former couple. Like what Janna had said to him, Michaelle is a former lover of Dr. Chen who sucked up money from him. He didn't say a word. So Dr. Chen continue.
"Michaelle is in-charge of any personal details about you and the baby. So, here is the thing. Baby Rein is sick. He cries a lot. Even Michaelle can't calm him down. Which is very unlikely to him. It started when Baby Rein saw you. It is undeniable that you two have connections. Without telling him what to feel or what are you in his life, he recognized it. He recognized you as his father. So last night, I visited him. It was very alarming to see him in that kind of state. He doesn't want to eat. He just wanted to cry. Cry until he fell asleep. Muttering the same word. Papa." Dr. Chen looked intently to him before he continues. "He wanted to see you."
Rein released a deep breath. "Ok. Where is he?"
"I'll take you to them." then he weakly smiled.
Rein didn't know how to react. He didn't know what to feel about everything. He knows he's sad. Worried about him. But overall, he is in great shock. He can't digest the details that Dr. Jeffrey had fed him.
"We're going there." He heard Dr. Chen said upon making a call.

He was expecting an apartment house like what she used to live. But instead of a bungalow type, an enormous mansion is waiting for them.
"This is my mother's house. This is where Chaelle and Baby Rein are currently staying." Dr. Chen explained.
Rein just nodded. He's really nervous. Nervous about how he will act in front of her. The last time, they did not talk. They just stared at each other's eyes and then left her without uttering any word. No words to say. No goodbyes. Like what she did to him.
Like what the custom in their ancestral house, a female servant is waiting for them in the main entrance. She leads them to the second floor. Dr. Chen is making instructions for her. Then they stopped in front of the last door to the left side. The maid knocked two times. He heard a familiar voice, then Dr. Chen twists the doorknob and slightly opens the door.
A lady in her simple flowy ivory cocktail dress greeted them with a weak smile.
"He is still sleeping. But you could stay here so you're the first person he will see when he woke up." Chaelle softly said. She took a slight bow before they left him alone with Baby Rein.
He takes a seat on a white wooden chair with a powder blue cushion beside the wooden crib. The other side of the crib was pulled down so you could enjoy the view of the sleeping angel. Like what Dr. Jeffrey had said, his status is not so good. He really looked sick. Eyes are swollen due to excessive crying. Crimson cheeks were very visible against his pale white skin. He held his tiny fingers and felt it. Baby Rein's palm is definitely hot. He took the white towel that nestled on top of his forehead. He gently touched it and felt a higher body temperature. He washed the white towel into the cold water in the basin near him. Then he carefully put it on his forehead. Upon touching his skin, small puffy eyes are slowly opening.
"Hi, Baby." He softly greeted him.
At first, the baby did not recognize him. He blinked a few times as if he was removing something from his eyes. Rein reached for his cheeks and carefully caressed it. He smiled. They smiled at each other. When the baby tried to rise up and seat. He automatically heaved him and pulled down near his chest. He hugged him carefully not to squeeze his delicate small body. He felt his cheeks on the base of his neck. His favorite spot.
"Are you sick Baby?" Rein asked the baby, though he knows he can't respond. "Please stop crying ok? Papa is already here." then he plotted peck of a kiss on top of his head.
'Papa is here'. These words were repeatedly echoing inside his head. Yes. He is already a father. They did it once, in Thailand. So probably, that's when Baby Rein was made. A lot of questions were spinning inside his head and it drives him crazy. He desperately needs to know the answer to free himself from this unknown feeling. He is happy but yet sad. Confuse but clearly know that a big part of his life was changed by this lovely little human on his arms.

After a few hours of cuddling and baby talk, Baby Rein finally fell asleep. Rein carefully lie him down to his crib and seat to the wooden chair beside him. He looked at his watch and learned that it's already 11:13 in the evening. He needs to get home and take some decent rest. He gave a glance to sleeping Baby Rein and quietly pulled up the other side of the crib. Then, he slowly walks to the door and slightly pulls it. One more glance before he finally makes himself out.
A series of broken plates and glass against a metal tray were heard. He bumped into someone.
"I'm sorry, I did-" He stopped from talking when he recognized that the lady is Chaelle.
"It's ok. It-it's my fault anyway." She said without making eye contact with him. She's busy picking up some broken plates.
"Don't touch that. That may hurt you." He sits down and took her hand away from the broken plates.
"Ouch." she softly cried. A stream of blood is coming from a cut in her right index finger.
"I told you. Let's treat this." then he gets a handkerchief from his pocket to somehow stop the bleeding. He guided her to stand up.
"It's ok. I can-" She didn't finish the sentence because she noticed that Rein's facial expression is getting mad.
"You're always pushing me away. If this is what you want. Fine. I forgot that you are also a doctor. You could treat yourself without any help from me." then he released her hand from his grasp and walk away from her.
He was about 2 meters away from where he left her when he heard a loud bump. When he turned his heels back to her direction, he saw Chaelle lying on the floor. His eyes widened because of so much surprise and fear. He immediately runs towards her. She is unconscious. No idea what had happened to her, he called for help.
Before everybody could get there, Rein was able to obtain her vital signs. Heart rate and breathing are pretty fast.
"What happened?" the question was came from a sophisticated woman. Rein recognized her as one of those FEGHMC's board of directors.
"Maybe I'll tell you what happened after we did some first aid to her." Rein calmy said. Though at that moment, he is in great panic. His heart almost jumps out of his chest as if he is having a heart attack.
The woman leads him to Michaelle's room. The room before Baby Rein's room. He carefully lies down the unconscious Chaelle on her bed.
"Did you two had a fight?" The woman asked him.
"Sort of." His short reply.
"I think its panic attack. Since she left this country, she developed a panic disorder. Her anxiety level increased. It was partly my fault. Well, I'll not explain everything. Besides that you are a doctor, I believed you know my daughter that much. Please if you could just stay here for a while, just until she recovered." She pleaded.
Rein nodded. "It's ok with me. By the way Mam, could we also put Baby Rein's crib here?" That is more of a request from his heart. He already misses him.
"Certainly." Chaelle's mother smilingly said. Then two male attendants open the door on the right side of Chaelle's room. After a few minutes, they were pushing a white crib into her room. They place the crib beside him. Then they took a slight bow before leaving.
"Goodnight. Just give them a ring if you need anything. Just dial zero" she was looking at a telephone on top of the bedside table.
Rein just nodded. Chaelle's mother just smiled and went straight to the door. Now, he was left with the two most precious beings in his life.
The male attendant provided a first aid kit which Rein used to treat the cut in her finger. He gently caressed her hand. He stares at her angelic face and carefully tuck some strand of hair behind her ears.
"I can't believe this. You are here beside me," he said while still looking at her face.

Michaelle woke up from a very nice sleep. She had a wonderful dream whereas Rein is sleeping beside her. Caressing her cheeks while whispering some endearment words.
The sky is still dark. So, she decided to continue her sleep. She grabs the pillow beside her head and hugged it. It smells good. It smells like a guy. It smells like Rein.
"What?!" she yelled while shockingly rise up from her bed. Then she smells it again to see if she is not daydreaming. No. The pillow really smells like him. She runs her eyes to every corner of her room wishing she could see him. Then she noticed baby Rein's crib beside her bed. She doesn't remember putting it here. She stands up to check on her baby. He is still peacefully sleeping. He looks like smiling. She was about to take away her eyes when she saw a red apple with a note on the top right corner of the crib. She picks it up and reads the note. "I'll be back ASAP." She smiles. A smile that she used to wear two years ago. She wanted to scream because of so much joy, but then she remembers her son sleeping inside the crib. So she just keeps the happiness inside her.
"Maybe I should give him a call. But it is still early and I don't know if that is still his number." She paused and think of another way. "Maybe we could visit him."

Today is Saturday, instead of taking a break, Rein decides to do some ward rounds to make a survey of some possible subjects for their research project. Tomorrow will be his off and he is planning to spend it with his son and hopefully with Chaelle.
"Dr. Lee, how's the research project?" Dr. Won asked her senior fellow.
"Good. On Monday, we will start our data collection." his response to the female doctor while his eyes were still fixed on the list of their patients.
"Tomorrow is your off right? My father will be celebrating his 60th birthday in Shang. So, maybe you could-"
"I have plans for tomorrow. I'm sorry." He coldly replied without letting Dr. Won finish her invitation.
"Dr. Lee, Dr. Won excuse me. But someone is looking for Dr. Lee." One of the ward nurses approached them.
"Who is it?" He asked.
The nurse looks at the direction of a lady who is seated on the long bench, holding a baby on her lap. The baby is playing, jumping on her lap while muttering some words which are unrecognizable.
"Who is she?" Dr. Janna asked Dr. Rein.
The other doctor, Dr. Kang Soo, and Dr. Sue, who is currently in the nurse station were quietly observing the scene while getting Nina's attention who is currently busy calling another ward.
Dr. Rein walks toward her direction without answering Dr. Won's question.
Because the lady is very busy with her baby, she didn't notice that Dr. Rein is already standing beside her.
"Hey." He greeted her.
She looked up and eventually smiled upon seeing his beautiful face. "He wanted to see you"
"Really? Did he want to see me? How about you?" He teases her. Then released a soft chuckle.
"Dr. Yoon?!" Janna, who followed her fellow doctor was surprised to see her former colleague. Everybody in the nurse station was in great surprise too. Dr. Sue almost cries. Dr. Kang Soo drops his jaw, while Nina holding her mouth, eyes are not blinking.
Michaelle smiled. She stands up and gives Baby Rein to his father. "Papa." the baby uttered.
"How are you, Baby Rein?" Then he hugged his son and slightly pressed him against his chest. As usual, Baby Rein's cheeks landed on the base of his neck. "Did you miss papa?"
"Papa." Baby Rein rises up and looked into his face. His left hand is holding Rein's right cheek, eyes staring like memorizing the details of him.
"What time will your shift ends?" Michaelle finally said after a few seconds of staring at the two important people in her life.
"In two hours? Do you have any plans for tonight?"
Michaelle just nodded and secretly looked at Dr. Won, gesturing something about her. Rein immediately got what she meant so he said goodbye to his colleague and left with his baby and Chaelle.
Everybody was screaming when the two left them. They were in tears and very happy for the two of them. They know what is everything all about even they didn't tell them.
Janna, who was left in shock, can't find the words on how she will react to everything that she had witnessed.

They found themselves seated on the park bench in the hospital garden. Both staring blankly on the ground. You can hear Baby Rein's laughter in the background. Mrs. Co, his baby sitter is playing with him a few meters away from them.
"How are you?" Rein, at last, asked her.
"I'm quite fine. How about you?" She asked him back.
"These past few days? Well, I could say that I'm quite fine also. But if you will ask my last two years of life without you, I could say its dreadful." he said and released a chuckle.
"Uhmmm. How's Clara?"
"What?" He confusedly asked her. His eyebrows were furrowed.
She gave a weak smile. "I thought you're doing fine with her? The last time I saw you." She stopped and released a deep breath before she continues. "You run away with her, and everything nice for both of you follows."
"Who told you that?"
"I just thought so. I know you love her and-"
"I loved her before. But not today. Not even these past 2 years. It is past tense and that is the big difference between today."
"Well, the moment she runs away with you, I thought-"
"Please stop. Everything you thought that time was wrong. I don't love Clara anymore. I run after her because of concern. A concern of her as her former best friend. I know her. She is weak in terms of dealing with pain. But it doesn't mean that I still love her." He is looking intently at her, directly in her eyes.
Michaelle didn't say a word. She doesn't know what to say.
"That time, after I dealt with her, I went back to find you. But you already left. I called you for like a hundred times, but I couldn't reach your number. You took a 2-week emergency leave but you never came back. I just learned from Dr. Kim that you already filed your resignation after that. I always come back to your apartment, hoping that I could see you even from afar, but I never had a chance. I didn't see you, even the tip of your shadow. I-I almost kill my brother because of what happened to us. That's why I left our house. I'm living alone now." Rein paused to took and released a deep breath. "But I didn't regret doing that. Because of him, we got separated. Because of his selfishness, I lost you. Well, I became very miserable after you left me. So, it's my own decision to leave my family and live alone. I don't want them to see how it is dreadful to live without you." This time, his eyes were staring on the ground, preventing a stream of tears to fell.
"I'm sorry if I became selfish. I-I don't know what to do. I am so full of negativity at that time. The day Clara and Henry's engagement party was also the day I saw my mother. The woman who left me for 10 years. Then you. I thought you left me for her. I was so coward back then. I don't want to see you or even talk to you because I don't want to hear that you already decided to leave me and be with her. So I went back to our province to think and calm myself. Unluckily, I learned another lie. So that lie leads me to reconcile with my mother and brother. That time, I hated everyone in here." She paused and wiped some tears. "I was pregnant with our baby and I didn't know what to do. Since I believed that you were with Clara, I decided to leave the country and live with my mother and brother away from you."
There was complete silence for about 2 minutes. Then laughter of Baby Rein broke it.
"Papa." He walks towards him and hugged his knees.
"He really likes you." Michaelle smilingly said. "He ever been like that whenever I am around him. But when it comes to you, he became more lively and laughing became his habit."
"I'm happy to know that." He smiled back.
"Do you have plans for tonight? Date or night out with friends?" She asked him.
Rein looked confusedly at her. "You still don't know me. Well, if you think I changed a little bit when you left me. You're wrong. I am still the same. The same Rein that you used to love." He smiled weakly at her. "The same person that loves you." He heaved Baby Rein and stood up. He reached for her hand and walk slowly. "If you were planning to ask me for a date, my answer is yes. But we got a problem. A handsome little boy might want to come."
Michaelle released a soft chuckle. "Maybe we could stay at your place?"
"That's a better idea." he pressed his right palm against her. "I'm happy."
"I know." Then they both smiled at each other.

"So you already planned this?" Rein teasingly said to Chaelle while unfolding the portable crib of baby Rein in the living room.
"Baby Rein wanted to stay with you. Right baby?" She is holding Baby Rein, waiting for the crib to be fixed.
"Really? Is it just Baby Rein? Hmmm?" He comes near her and gets baby Rein from her arms. He teasingly moves his face closer to her, until their nose touched. Then he intentionally moves away and put Baby Rein into his crib. He put also some of his toys and books inside the crib with him. Michaelle was left hanged and standing on her spot. "Baby, would you play for a while? Papa will just cook dinner for us." then he faced her. "Let's cook." He held her hands and guide her to the kitchen.
In the kitchen, the two were talking like how they used to do. They already became comfortable with the presence of each other, as if nothing happens. As if they were together for these past few years.
"You still as cold as the Ice Prince that I met before."
"I'm that really cold to you?"
"Yeah. You never smile at me. I didn't get anything, even a smirk."
"Well, I'm like that to anyone. Except when you know."
"Yeah, and that's what I missed about you. Ohh...I really miss the old times." When she didn't hear any response from him, she turned around to check what happened.
She almost screams because of so much surprise. He is standing almost a few inches away from her. His hands were holding both sides of the table where she was preparing some of the ingredients. Now, she was standing like a statue between his arms. From their position, she was almost imprisoned by his body.
"Rein..."
Rein didn't say a word. He is very busy staring directly into her eyes as if he was saying something. When he got the cue, he slowly moves closer and angles his face, ready to claim what he lost for 2 years.
Michaelle closed her eyes. Then in a moment, she felt the soft lips of Rein against her. At first, the kiss was slow, as if he is enjoying every stroke of their lips. Then after a while, it became aggressive. She can feel the thirst that he felt from two years of separation. She missed him. A soft moan escaped between the kisses. His hands were exploring her back, aiming for something. They were at the peak of passionate kissing when they heard the scream of a child.
"Rein." She slowly moved him away.
"I know. The baby." He is quite disappointed but they know what is their main priority now. Both of them immediately went back to the living room.
"Baby. What's wrong?" Michaelle said upon approaching the crib. Baby Rein is still crying. She heaved him and hugged him very tightly.
"Maybe he was afraid because he can't see us." Rein worriedly came closer to them. "Hush Baby. We're here."
"We could move the crib to the dining area so at least he could see us in the kitchen," Michaelle suggested. She is still calming their little prince.
"Better. So we could also check on him." then he folds the crib, lifts and transfers it to the dining area. When everything is in place, they put Baby Rein inside and let him play again.
"I think our kid has also panic disorder," Michaelle said without watching her words.
"Don't worry, I don't mind. I can take care of you. Both of you." he kissed her forehead and enclosed her into his arms.

The dinner is great. Not only because of the delicious and mouthwatering dishes that they had cooked but merely the presence of each other is more than enough. Baby Rein is seated on a high chair, while Michaelle is feeding him with chicken and some vegetables. Rein, on the other hand, was enjoying the view. The sight of the two important persons in his life is enough to make him full.
They both washed the dishes like what they used to do back in Michaelle's apartment.
"I want to visit Jin tomorrow." Chaelle suddenly said. She is drying the wet plates at that time.
"I can drive you there. By the way, did you go back to your province yet?"
"Not yet. Why?" She curiously asked him.
"I just thought that your father will be happy to see you and Baby Rein." He casually replied.
"Did you know my father?"
"Let's just say that I got one day off with him."
"Really? How?"
"Well, my father and your father are old-time buddies and-"
"And?"
"I'll tell you later when we get in bed."
"You know Ice prince. You're annoying most of the time."
"What?"
She rolled her eyes before she answered back. "Well, you always put me on hang."
"Look who's talking."
"What? You're the one who always initiates things. Then when it is on the climax, you will eventually cut the moment." She said while heaving the sleeping Baby Rein.
Rein eventually fold the crib and lift it towards his bedroom. Michaelle followed him.
"Well princess, I have reasons. If you're talking about our kissing moments, well what happened when we did not control each other's urge? ViolĂ ! Baby Rein was born."
"Well...I'm happy that Baby Rein was born."
"Me too. But what I am trying to say is that I have valid reasons why I am being like that. About my father and Sir Simon, I said I'll tell it to you later. It only means that you should wait. You're being impatient." He moves closer to get Baby Rein and lie him down the crib.
"Fine." She hugged him from behind and rested her head on his back. "I missed your smell. Hyper-masculine, inviting and yet sophisticated."
Rein turned around and hold her chin. He plotted a peck of a kiss on the tip of her nose. "I missed you too." then he pinched her cheeks. "Especially this."
