After a couple of minutes, the three emerged out from the boutique.
Naomi was back inside the pet carrier and Clyde carried him with ease. Syra on the other hand did not seem to be faring better.
From afar, she looked like a walking tree adorned with countless shopping bags.
She could hardly walk properly due to the volume of shopping bags that she was carrying. There were simply too many of them for her to handle to the point that she forced to make use of her neck as well to carry some of the lighter bags.
"Are you okay?"
She heard Clyde asking the obvious. But before she could even respond, she already heard the other party answering his own question.
"Of course, I know you can manage just fine."
He said while nodding his head knowingly. Then he resumed walking ahead of Syra making it obvious that he had no intention of helping her out at all.
'Just bear with it, Syra. You endured more than that all your life. Just look at the brighter side. At least, all these shopping bags were all yours now, unlike before.'
Syra told herself internally.
Clyde on the other hand did not bother looking at Syra anymore as he continued to walk ahead of her; that was despite knowing that the other party was having a hard time carrying all the shopping bags by herself.
However, not because he was like that, it also meant that he did not care. After making sure that no one was watching them, Clyde secretly snapped his finger and everything went dark.
"Ouch! Watch out."
Syra said because just as when their surroundings were enveloped with pitch black, Clyde also abruptly halted his steps; resulting in Syra accidentally bumped on his back.
Some of the shopping bags that she had been trying to carry fell on the floor but due to the fact that the entire mall was plunged into the darkness, she had a hard time gathering them.
"Alexa, turn on the lights."
She heard Clyde activating a voice command and when the light came back, Syra found herself standing in their familiar living room.
Before she knew it, they were already back home!
"I thought you don't do teleportation as it was risky?"
She questioned Clyde to which the other party replied with a smirk.
"I only said I don't but I did not say that I can't."
Clyde said, while at the same time, removing the pet carrier in his back and finally freeing Naomi from it.
"Besides, do you think you can ride a public bus carrying all those stuff? That would be too much of an inconvenience not only to us but to other commuters as well. So might as well send you straight back home."
Clyde continued to reason out to show Syra his point.
"Master Clyde is right. In a way, we are just saving ourselves with unnecessary trouble."
Naomi seconded his master right away.
"But we haven't bought our groceries yet. How am I supposed to cook for dinner?"
Syra reminded them.
She had already thought about coming to the grocery after buying her clothes, but from the current looks of it, she lost the chance already.
"Well, you can go there by yourself."
Clyde replied in nonchalance then he threw his wallet in the air, good thing that Syra was quick to catch it.
"Naomi, tell her the direction of the nearest grocery store around our block. Make it quick, I want my dinner in time. I'm starving."
Clyde issued his command loud and clear before he made his way back to his room.
