"Err..."
Syra deliberately trailed off as she was hesitant to say the idea that she has on her mind at that time. The girl was not sure if it was even right for her to ask Clyde for such a thing, to begin with.
Clyde, on the other hand, must have seen through her hesitance, so he urged her to speak.
"What is it, Syra? Go on, speak..."
"How about if I just asked for some money instead? Would that be better?"
Syra made a short pause to check for any changes in Clyde's expression and when she did not see any reaction from him, she continued.
"What I am saying is that maybe I could just use this opportunity to ask you to give me my salary in advance. The thing is, I badly needed some cash at the moment to pay for my tuition fee. I am planning to enroll this year since I already have a stable source of income."
