Since they were not able to buy Syra's clothes yet, Clyde decided to bring the other party to different boutiques instead.
Naomi, on the other hand, followed silently behind them.
"MEOW"
Naomi called out hoping to send his message to his two companions.
As they were in the presence of nonmagic humans, Naomi was not allowed to speak and left with no choice, he could only meowed at them whenever he wished to catch their attention.
Naomi was not even sure when was the last time he actually meowed. In fact, hearing himself meowing sounded foreign to him, let alone say, awkward.
But deep inside, he already wanted to shout at them.
"Could you please slow down??? My short legs were having a hard time to catch up!"
"MEOW!"
He called them again, this time using a higher pitch and as if finally sensing his distress, Syra stopped on her track to pick him up and she carried him as they resumed walking.
When they arrived at the store, Clyde no longer let Syra chose the clothes by herself unlike before. Instead, he proceeded on picking the clothes, and one by one, he handed them to Syra.
A sales lady followed silently beside them while Clyde on the other hand busied himself into picking clothes every now and then, whenever they walked past the displays.
After choosing around ten or so items in total, he halted his steps and turned around.
"Are we taking all of these???"
Syra asked behind the heap of clothes before her.
She tried her best to accommodate all of the clothes with her two hands as she was scared to let any of them fell on the floor and risked getting it stained.
The sound of her voice was already muffled due to her face being covered. However, when she heard Clyde's reply, she almost dropped all of them.
"No, we won't buy them. I don't like the design."
He said with a flat tone before he turned to the sales lady and talked to her directly.
"Aside from these clothes that I picked, please wrapped everything from this row, up to this row, and include those rows as well. I will buy all of them."
As he said that, he also used his arms to gesture to the rows of clothes displayed in the store.
Meanwhile, Syra was not the only one who was left with a dumbfounded expression when Clyde said that. Even the sales lady could not believe her ears.
"A- are you sure sir?"
The other party could not help but asked to seek confirmation. But when Clyde heard her inquiry, he only gave the sales lady a once over.
"Do I look like I am kidding to you??? Since you think that I have time to fool around, why don't you call your manager instead so we could have some chat? Do you prefer it that way????"
He said with his usual cold tone and air of indifference.
"No, sir. I am sorry. Please let me take it from here"
The sales lady hurriedly apologized and bowed her head when she sensed her customer's displeasure. Then she immediately went towards the counter to prepare everything that needed to be done.
Meanwhile, seeing how Clyde interacted with the other party, Syra could not help but comment on the side.
"What a Karen."
She said under her breath.
"Are you saying something?"
Clyde asked back as soon as the sales lady walked away.
"Nothing."
