13 April 2193, 2 black holes were found in the vicinity of the Milkyway Galaxy, many saw it as a major disaster and they were not wrong. 20 years later, while the experts were watching the galaxies, an immense tremor went through the fabric of space. Half of the Milkway Galaxy was no more, but to make matters worse the remnant energy also disrupted the orbits of many planets and many solar systems were flying like lose cannons through the galaxy. Humans on earth naturally were not aware of that, by the time they could perceive the light, they already were no longer capable of doing it.
Time passed by and a thousand years passed before the tremors in space completely vanished, with that many, many planets in ruins. broken into pieces, these pieces then impacted other planets which would, in turn, be a natural disaster for all planets out there. Earth was no exception, many small asteróids impacted the earth and its neighboring planets. Jupiter being the guardians it was, took the brunt of the force, while the sun took the heaviest of impacts.
This went on for the next 10 thousand years, and by that time order was slowly returning, because the solar system was at the edge of the MilkyWay Galaxy and very far from the impact point it did not get hit by and direct energy blasts, humanity at that point was miserable. They were once more reminded that no matter what they try, they will never beat nature at its destructive properties.
At the time there were less than a million humans alive, there were no distinctive features, that could be seen as a different "Race" no more Asian, no more Afrikan, no more American, nothing like that mattered. all that mattered was survival. Humanity was confused, why did they survive? logically speaking with the collision of 2 black holes that would attract the black hole at the center of the universe, 3 black holes. this sort of collision should destroy everything in the vicinity, and the whole of MilkyWay Galaxy should be no more, not even dust, just pure energy.
After they managed to build a telescope, their minds were numbed by what they saw, a gigantic black hole that now acted as the center of the Milkyway galaxy, but that was not what surprised them, what was most surprising is that the black hole was giving off energy, it took 26080 years for the energy to reach earth, at that time humanity had somewhat regained its strength back to their prime, having a population of more than 9 billion, it was at that time that the nightmare truly started.
This energy was of such magnitude that even just a whisp of it was enough to light a city for years, humanity saw this as a great blessing, the humans of that time had already forgotten their reminder more than 37 thousand years ago and tried to use the energy for electricity, weapons, experiments, pretty much everything. The humans very close to space travel and this energy made it possible to do it, traveling to marsh took so a small amount of energy that they could not imagine how that was possible, but alas, nothing is free.
while the humans traveled in the solar system, so did the energy and after the initial whisp of it, the energy got stronger as more and more of it was getting out of the black hole. time passed and humans soon became to realize that the energy was effecting everything, even the fundamentals of the atoms themselves were changing, growing stronger. splitting atoms became almost impossible, it came at such a high price that no one dared to use them anymore, because such energy could not be controlled. time passed as the energy changed the building blocks of the universe itself.
5 thousand years later humans were now once against facing extinction, it became hard to even grow crops, not because crops can not be grown, but because humans were too weak to grow them.
during those 5 thousand years, many humans died to cancer and other deceases, many spontaneously combusted into flames that would destroy whole streets, many would freeze to death for no reason, some would fade out of existence themselves, many researchers had already found the reason for it, it did not require one to be smart, just not stupid. The energy was affecting all forms of matter and anti-matter, humans naturally belonged there. Animals faced similar problems with many species being extinct.
The planets themselves were also changing, earth was grown stronger and denser, the gravity becoming higher, but because of the gradual increase, each successive generation of humans were used to it. Many places were forbidden to entry, the planet not only got stronger but also bigger, the higher gravity naturally affected the other planets and asteroids, but the earth was not the only on the get stronger. The Sun was even more massive than it was before and its gravity was swallowing everything it could get when Earth was about to face the fate other closer heavenly bodies, Big brother Jupiter once more came to rescue.
Jupiter changed its orbit but it did not fall into the sun, it instead stabilized earth in a new orbit, at the cost of Marsh being thrown at the sun, who swallowed it like it was nothing. to understand why nothing happened, scientists focussed on the sun and then they realized that the sun was generating the same energy that that black hole was, they focused their instruments on other heavenly bodies and stars and were astonished and scared senseless, everything was planet, even the moon, which was now a ring, as they were broken into many many pieces that orbited earth. had slightly generated that energy in the biggest pieces which had about half the original size of the moon.
This discovery was a scary thing for humans, this energy was their bane, something that was driving them to extinction without even trying. Years passed and humanity once more stabilized themselves.
The animals had found a unique way to use this energy to absorb it and make it their own, and because every heavenly body now endlessly generated this energy, there was no shortage of it, with there being 5 heavenly bodies and the sun generating it, the Solar System had no shortage of the energy.
Time passed by and before long humanity once more faced extinction, if someone didn't know better they might truly see this as divine punishment. with the animals getting stronger, humanity was not good at adapting to this energy, although they no longer were affected by it, they would still die to the animals who by instinct could harness the energy and grow stronger, changing their bodies, getting smarter. the earth of now was almost as Jupiter was at its before the energy came, with this immense size and the immense danger it provided with its new environment, places that reached temperatures in the thousands of degrees Celcius and or near subzero temperatures, places where gravity was much stronger or much weaker, everything was a danger. for the normal, habitable spots, most were now taken by the animals who had gained intelligence, each having their kingdom. Humanity was once more down to only 2 million left, this was now 200 thousand years after the collision of the black holes.
But all living beings show unprecedented potential when in face of death, many who die anyway and many who die to wounds or sickness before showing that potential. But there is always an exception, and this exception was Emperess Rayle Leonard, Rayle was just like many others striving to survive this manhunt, the beasts never focused on them, as they were too weak, just like chickens were in the distant past for the humans. many surviving groups were under the control of Beast Kingdoms and other such powers, living to just be eaten when grown. But the beasts were smart, every time one reached a certain requirement they would be taken and eaten, humans always tried to not reach it but to no avail, no one knew why, and Rayle was one who could not accept this fate, of living like livestock.
Ever since she was 10, she would always watch who was taken, every time someone was taken she would note down all of their information she could get, but she could never find a link, there was nothing that linked them together to a single requirement. that was when she finally realized, they were just livestock, why would others consider their feelings? did the ancient humans consider what a chicken felt before being killed? did they ask it if it was fine with dying? NO! THEY DID NOT!.
It was then that Rayle truly felt despair, humans were capable of living for more than 300 years with their natural lifespan and for her to die before even reaching one-third of it, she could not accept it, how could she accept to being killed and eating!? Rayle began to think, why were the beasts different than humans, from the records she had read she was certain that humans were the dominant force before the collision, why did beasts change afterward what made it different? it took her 5 years just to find a link, and that link was when she saw hope, according to the records she read, after the collision a foreign energy changed everything, from the biggest to the smallest, everything was different, even humans changed. But unlike humans, who did not adapt even after so much time, the beasts harnessed the energy inside their bodies, living longer, getting stronger, using the elements, everything was possible.
"Why can't humans do the same?" she thought to herself, oh if only she knew how often this question was asked, how many had tried and failed. But again, there is always an exception. Rayle was incredible perspective since she was born, she always focused the smaller details and not the bigger ones, she looked at the beasts that now had formed similar to themselves, because of their powerless behavior, the beasts could do anything they wanted with the humans, this was especially hard for those good looking, boys and girls alike would be used to relieve themselves of their pent up frustrations, many guards used them, Rayle was not very good looking, so she was spared of this fate, her mother, however, was not. her mother would every night be taken and brought back in the morning, one time she asked her mother to try to get one of the energy gathering books for her.
Her mother did as she said, one night when she was with the beast partner she begged him to have a book to read, she showed interest in the energy gathering book on purpose and promised to please him to the best of her abilities if he let her have it. The beastmen did not think much over it and gave it to her, because the humans and beasts had different constitution, the beastmen did not think that humans would be able to use it, because they had tried many times in the past and failed even more.
Rayle read that book and tried to use it, only to fail miserably, she then tried to make it fit her own body. every time something felt wrong when practicing she would change it a bit, with her incredible perspective abilities, she was able to change it step by step, which took her 20 years to accomplish, 20 years of trying it every day, 20 years of 3 hours sleep, all of this to escape her fate and she just did that. To not alert the beastmen of her success, she told her mother to give the book back, by then her mother was already above a hundred years and Rayle was very worried about her.
Alas, her worries were not in vain, one year later she was also taken and never returned, the beastmen would always take as many people as they were born, because of that the population never decreased much. In her grief and sadness she decided to run, she did not dare to practice the Energy Absorbing method she developed, because she was sure it would only lead to her death.
The first thing she did was write 2 more pieces and hid them in places where the beast never worked, but only humans did, this was her giving them a chance, afterward, she ran away by letting herself fall into a river, beastmen did not care for their lives so they laughed as they saw her drift away and fall from a waterfall. Rayle was never seen again.
Rayle had successfully escaped from the beastmen, but the wild beasts, a different evolution from the beastmen, were even harder to deal with. so she ran far away but only when she was sure that she won't die. She found a small hole where she could hide in and there she lived the next 300 years of her life, she, however, did not change, with the usage of the energy-absorbing method, she managed to absorb more energy and the more she did the more she improved it, her talents were truly not able to be put on a scale. 300 years later she went back to the camp that had the humans, she saw none of the old people there, she cried silently as she watched from a distance, everyone she knew was once more dead, eaten by the beastmen.
After her tears was rage, uncontainable rage that boiled like a volcano, she mustered all her powers and flashed like a meteor inside the city, the city was what owned the humans, she slaughtered every single one of them bathing in their blood, she fell on her knees and once more cried tears of despair but also of joy. After so much time, Humanity once more had a chance to rise and for this, she was the only one she knew that had the power to do it.
she took all the humans there and went to a place she was hiding, there they made a small city where everyone was living, Rayle would always go out and come back with more, ever time she went she would stay back for 10 years, right now she was alone, she needed more humans, but what she needed were more talented humans. She gave her Absorbtion techniques that she managed to make to every on she brought back and after a thousand years, many more people raised in strength, it did not take long for their strength to exceed a simple kingdom of beastmen and they slaughtered every basement they could, saving thousands of humans and creating the first kingdom for humans after more than 200 hundred thousand years, all of this was made possible by a single person. Rayle Leonard, Empress of Ultimum, the Empire of Humanity.
Now, 10 thousand years have passed since the creation of Ultimum, Humans and beastmen were interlocked in a never-ending fight, but this constant fighting without a winner and slowly just ended to hatred by both sides, both sides although would like nothing worse than to wipe the other from the face of the Earth, they both knew that that will not be possible.
After Empress Rayle passed away, humans and beastmen slowly but surely forgot their hate, time passed and once more a hundred thousand years passed since the passing for the First Empress, Rayle Leonard. by now the humans and beastmen and long ceased fighting and reconciled, having a friendly relationship. although there were 5 beastmen Empires, each on a level similar to the human empire, some were too far away and the new terrain made deployment of large armies too hard, so they did not wish to interfere, the only 2 Empires neighboring with Ultimum had their grudges and their hate between each other was even stronger than their between humans, so as time passed both decided to not bother with the humans and instead try to live together as long as they did not bother with them.
500 thousand years after the collision, a boy was born in a village at the border of Ultimum.
