Chapter 11 - Conflict Rumbles (2)

Wandering mindlessly Escanor minded his own business as he travelled with Helga and Rewora as they picked clothes randomly that they liked as Escanor carried the burden of carrying the clothes who when sick of holding it chucked it into the vault before striding around his eyes landing onto the blacksmith forgery at the weapons crafted.

Looking around he came across a variety of weapons before landing on a small mace. He thinking of a weapon that was less flamboyant than that he could carry around without being the main source of attention. Although his physique was the definition of attention more would only serve to be a distraction. Picking his own clothes as well he fashioned himself a leather tunic which was custom made just for him. Although the cost to afford such a thing was expensive. Rewona had enough to throw.

The moon had made its way next to the star in the sky. Finally tired from their shopping spree they made their way to an Inn only two rooms were reserved. This ended up forcing Escanor and Rowona to share a room which wasn't totally arranged by Helga who slipped a coin to the Receptionist who gladly took it with a smile and wink.

"Rewona I would've sworn you were famous with all the fame and fortune you boasted about. How come not a single person recognizes you and just walk past?" Escanor questioned.

"I sell my wares through my name, not in person. Having fame as you see only serves to hinder my progress besides I only will reveal myself when I have started to accomplish my dream." Rewona stated munching on a pastry.

"That is?" Escanor asked.

"To finally build a school where muggles, humans and all can come to learn the mystical arts of magic and what it has in store. From Transfiguration, Charms, Potions, History of Magic, Defence with the use of magic, Astronomy, Herbology, Arithmancy, Muggle Studies, Divination, Study of Ancient Runes and Care of Magical Creatures," She announced. (AN: Totally didn't steal this from the Harry Potter wiki...)

"Just magic?" Escanor questioned.

"What do you mean?" Rewona asked now stopping to hear Escanors response as he laid on the bed looking outside.

"If you were to run out of mana in front of a predicament what do you do? Lay there and allow yourself to die and take the blow analy?" He responded with resolution in his voice.

"Or would you rather pick up the nearest rock or stick and proceed to jam it into your enemies eyes and watch him suffer instead?" He continued.

"Even now if you were captured and your magic suddenly happened to stop what would you do? Looking at your Physique you would be barely be able to scare anyone with just your might. You would instead pull out that stick of yours and attempt to throw another spell." Escanor stated. This caused Rewona to pause. (AN: Although he seemed to be arrogant in his weaponry skills he was in fact gifted it by the one as apart of his powers as the original Escanor had it. This the reason why he can confidently hold Rhitta without him worrying about causing accidents)

"So what do you propose I do?" Rewona asked once more.

"For someone so smart you fail to see the solution. Introduce an extra subject called Weapon Mastery. This would allow students to skillfully disarm opponents without forcing them to Bend down on their knees and pray to me," Escanor Smiled proudly before being hit in the face by a bun. Grabbing it he looked outside unfazed but with a smile.

"Thanks for the bun," He smiled.

"You are welcome," now let's get some sleep it's getting late.

"How do you arrange we sleep? Do you want me to sleep on the chair and you on the bed? How dod you want to do this?" Escanor asked.

"I'll sleep on the couch I'm already too tired to get up," She glazed before melting on to the chair as she closed her eyes. Seeing the now asleep Rewona, Escanor decided to follow suit and sleep fully embracing the sheets as he left his hand out into a T-pose.

Escanor waking up found himself being fully embraced by Rewona who snuggled next to him like a child to a teddy bear. Laying on his arm she laid there comfortable in his presence as he looked confused as too how she magically teleport next to him. Thinking in his head it reminded him of the many cliches where beauty would sleep next to the protagonist. Laying there he waited for her to awake before multiple Large explosions were heard in the distance instantly shocking Rewora to life.

Moving to the windows He looked out to see Fires and debris next to the outer walls with knights in Paladin armour blitzing in and heading straight to the royal compounds and slaughtering any that had opposed them. Following behind them was a heavily guarded child and a lady who fashioned herself with a mask and purple rope the kid wearing royal clothing.

Looking at the woman she turned her head directly towards Escanor who looked on unfazed. He only waved towards her in response to her turning causing her to wave back and continue forward. Suddenly a voice rang out.

"PEOPLE OF CAMELOT WE MEAN NO HARM OUR QUIRALLS ARE WITH ALEXANDRIA AND MERLIN! DO NOT ATTEMPT TO HARBOR OR DEFEND THE HERETICS OR YOU WILL BE MET WITH DEADLY FORCE. WE DECLARE THIS KINGDOM RIGHTFULLY TO THE TRUE KING OF CAMELOT YVAIN! BY GODS DECREE HE IS THE RIGHTFUL OWNER OF THE THRONE!" A knight announced. Seeing them Escanor watched unbothered.

"This isn't my fight." Escanor thought until he saw portals emerged elven slaves emerging out as they were forced out by the colar some being kicked out. Anger start bubble as his body tensed his hands clentching as he saw the mistreatment. Racism had been a nerve for him as he was treated poorly when growing up.

The injustice Escanor saw in his past life although different was the same. The treatment being more harsher here with it being treated as if right and not wrong. Donning his armour he made his way out. Rewora only looked on shocked at the mass portal being opened with knighta coming out swords raised as they too made their way inside the royal quarters.
