Well the game was a bust. Kind of a waste of my time but it's honestly what you would expect from a college that can't even fund a proper security office. If it wasn't for the greasy brots that i seem to always drown in ketchup then I would have left long ago. Might as well head to my office and prepare for work. Seeing as most of these college kids are getting drunk to hide the disappointing reality of our nearing defeat. I get up from my seat happy that I can get away from all this noise and walk up the steps towards the school. On my way I passed a couple that looked like they're making out against a wall. Im not jealous at all. I'm only a lonely security guard with no love life to speak of so its fine. Honest! While thinking about ridiculous things like that and scorning the couple for my heartache they dug up from the depths of my souls I realize that the brunette looks familiar. Is that the girl I found sneaking into the school? Guess she likes the tall nerdy type. Taking a closer look I realize you gotta be kidding me. Maybe it's because I'm a security guard.. Though I'm not on the clock yet.
But my luck for finding trouble is ridiculous. Like some protagonist in a fantasy story getting way in over his head. I can see tears streaming down Sams face and for some reason regardless of the situation that pisses me off. Guess ill just say fuck it and worry about the consequences later. Before the notice me I walk up behind the guy and tap on his shoulder but before he could turn to look at me I notice him practically strangling Sam. So without any hesitation. I elbowed him in the nose. Might have been a little much but hey he could be rudolf for halloween now so honestly he should thank me. Normally i'm not so good in these situations but being backed up by my false bravado and mix of red bull and adrenaline. I pick Sam up as soon as that asshole fell over holding his face. And made the most strategic decision in this scenario.
Running the fuck away. I'm not a coward nor do I just want an excuse to carry a damsel in distress. But if I know anything as that once a guy gets hit in the face theyll probably want revenge and I'm not the kind of guy that wants to be somebody's punching bag. Opening the door quickly I rushed through the building. Luckily everyone already went outside so the crowd from earlier won't obstruct my grand getaway. Thanks to the patrols i've easily mapped out the College and after a couple of turns down different halls and pass the anti Sam stairs. I stop in front of my office. I put Sam down. "You okay? Mind explaining what happened inside my office? He can't get you in here and I will handle things for you so don't worry." I might be overdoing the talking at this point but seeing as a girl is crying right in front of me i feel a little panicked. I open the door and we go inside.
The sound of Coffee brewing is the only sound in the room currently. With Sam wrapped up in my nappi.. I mean reconnaissance blanket huddled up in the worlds most uncomfortable chair. She doesn't really give off the talkative vibe at the moment. I think I prefer her mean girl look. But it cant be helped given what happened. So i just lean up against my desk sitting in the silence between us for now. The coffee machine beeps signaling its done. As i go to pour Sam a mug to help calm her down. The girl tugs at my uniform I turn to her as she starts to speak in a muffled town. Can I stay here for a little bit? I don't want to leave yet. I don't care, that is fine by me if you'd like. I reply, it wasn't like I would turn away a girl that was molested. I still need to fill out a report after all this but ill do that after she leaves. I may be an asshole but I don't have it in me to cause her anymore trouble right now. After handing her her cup and receiving the usual thank you followed I lean back on my desk and back to the silent atmosphere from before.
This room is still as boring as ever. But having another person in here especially with the lack of communication makes it feel so much worse God! It's killing me! I scan the room that i'm accustomed to out of habit. The only thing out of place is the bad i shoved in the corner behind the door after we walked in. I had forgotten I had left it in the chair the night I brought it back. Speaking of which this is Sam's back after all and I have yet to take a look. What is in that bag by the way Sam? I say breaking the silence in the room finally? She looks at me surprised. A look of hesitation and guilt are shown in her eyes as she fails to make eye contact.
"I haven't looked yet if that is what you are thinking." Since you're here and all I should take advantage of it. I say with what I imagine is a pretty creepy looking grin on my face. I go and bend down next to the bag. Looking back towards the same I can see her horrified face. Its like the moment you s/o demands to look through your phone and you know exactly what they are going to see. And don't say you don't know what that is like. You guys know who you are. "So. Do you want to tell me yourself? Cause we both know i'm about to find out regardless. This is her last chance to come clean. Which ill be honest this is an excuse so I don't have to touch the bag directly. I didn't think of bringing any gloves from home and the stingy college did not provide them but that sticky brown substance near the zipper looks menacing so this is more of a ruse to not get my hands dirty rather than being the bad guy here.
