I would be lying if I didn't say I kind of feel bad for putting the girl on the spot but come on man the suspense is killing me. Plus why would I open it> that's like asking Sam to come up from behind me with a knife and spout a line like "you've seen my secret I can't let you live anymore." ir some shit. I might seem like I'm overreacting but hey at least I won't be the guy that fell for that bs on the news. Still waiting for Sam's reaction I see her Hands trembling a bit. Guess whatever is in that dufflebag is going to be one of those headaches for me later on. I just hope it isn't one of those My strange addiction type deals. Like come on guys sams pretty and all but eating a matress or some shit im sure is a deal breaker for any guy. "Come on Sam it can't be that bad you are going to have to show me sooner or later. I can't really let this go, it is my Job after all." I say more to reassure myself rather than to comfort her. Sam looks at me, her face taking on that mean girl vibe she seems to adore. "Your job? Oh right you mean to be a dick right?" ...that was kind of a low blow man. "Just open the bag Sam." I reply with irritation clear in my voice." Finally complying to my request Sam gets up from the chair. I went ahead and took the initiative to bring the bag over to the chair she was just occupying. Reaching out she starts to slide the zipper open. She takes a step back giving way for me to see the contents inside. "These are a bunch of pill bottles in here… Is this ritalin?" Fuck me, this is going to be a bigger headache then I thought. Note to self you see a college girl in a school at night leave her alone. It isn't worth the paperwork. I say in my head grimacing my poor choice of nosiness. This girl is obviously nothing but trouble.
Taking a glance at Sam she is just standing there looking at me without saying a word. Obviously caught red handed behaviour if you ask me. Taking a big breath and sighing to myself. I start to question my own sanity for the words that are about to come out of my mouth. "Look, you are obviously not a bad person. And I assume you have your reasons whatever the hell they might be. But after tonight why don't you just go home and we act like this never happened?" After zipping up the duffle bag I toss it back into its corner of shame. And go to lead sam off campus. Once we've arrived at the front doors I stop her. "Here take this." I say while handing her a brown napkin from yesterday's lunch. "Sorry for the unprofessional look for a business card but my numbers there if you need a statement for today." With a blank stare she snatches the napkin from my hand and turns to leave. You would think since this is technically me successfully handing off my number to a girl i would be excited. But there is just a sense of resentment in the look she gave me that makes me hope this is the last I'll be hearing from her.
