Chapter 32 - Hidden powers

A man covered by shadows sat down in his pagoda temple house as he drank wine, he looked over the horizon with dark rolling clouds with a frown, the great undercurrents of fate is all messed up and the stars don't make sense, an unknown power has crept up all over the world from the west but was left alone as it caused more good than bad for the world, but now, he couldn't sit still after this thing. This might just be the beginning of something that might hurt all of mankind, something he had to be involved in all the living cultivators of his land rests their trust in his hand and he can't fail this trust even if it meant that he had to break the restrictions on territories he will go to the west. It was them that broke it in the first place by letting this power spread so he would just be returning the favor back to them.

*sigh*

'This daddy can't even read the flow of the stars anymore, it seems those young bloods can't handle their territories very well...'

"My third disciple, go send someone to the west and find out the cause of this much chaos."

A bald man with six dots on his forehead suddenly appeared kneeling in front of the tower-like pagoda with his forehead touching the tiled bricks, his well toned body is hidden as he wore loose shaolin clothing for movement and comfort.

"Yes master. This disciple will not fail to live up to your expectations and will find the root of this chaos."

"Umm..."

It was the longest response he could get before he was sent away with a gesture from the master's hand and then rolling to a stumble at the foot of the mountain where the pagoda stood. Once the momentum finally dissipated, he stood up straight and again knelt down three times before leaving the place, not an ounce of anger could be detected from him after being thrown out like that.

A man was spreading his arms in front of a great pyramid. The pyramid is similar in shape to that of the Egyptian's with four sides, however this one is about three to five times bigger, surrounded by twelve tall rune carved stone pillars, and a small perpetual sun floating directly on top of the pyramid. Thousands of people are kneeling behind the man who is wearing something like a priest should wear, clean cream colored loose garbs with blue embroidery and golden jewelleries that glistened with amber red rubies and black diamonds. On his forehead is the head of a ready to strike cobra with red and black pattern on its scales and a crown on its head looking more devine than sinister.

The whole city is bustling with noise. Everyone was making strange tribal-like chanting, as this was all going on, the priest is released his magic through a cane looking staff as the snake on his forehead opened its mouth revealing a third eye, the crowd intensely banged their huge golden gauntlets and shook their heads like an epileptic on a seizure.

"Lord speaks to me!!!"

"The Lord speaks to me!!!"

The priest lifted his arms as he spoke loudly with the aid of his magic, soon everyone went quiet and simply stayed still in their position.

"The sun God has spoken, we must send men to head out for the west, find the root cause of the God's wrath and dispose of it."

"Nasus! The Lord is entrusting you this task. Stand up to accept your mission."

A tall robust figure stood up in the front line of the worshipping crowd, he stepped forward to show his hound like facial features and his aura filled with the screams of the dead. He came close to the priest and knelt down on one knee, his palms towards the heavens. A golden staff decorated with many dangling black and silver skulls appeared out of nowhere, it slowly descended to his outreached hands signifying that he has now accepted his mission to probe the west. He eyes burned with fervor, it has been a long time since he was let out of the underground city.

°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°

"Bahubali, I leave this task to your capable hands. Make sure not to fail or humanity is doomed. The mortals have developed too far from what they should be meddling in... Sigh... We can only try to go and prevent them from destroying themselves."

"It shall be done with utmost care."

°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°

"Iron fist Badang, this task shall be yours."

"....."

°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°

"Lapu-Lapu, head west and look around, look and do not meddle with their affairs, you can only look and listen. Do you understand?"

"Yes, Apo Lam Ang!"

°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°

"Slardar go to the surface, those land dwellers are brewing trouble once again. We must act now to make sure of our safety. Be discreet and don't cause more trouble than you should. Your priority is information. Do you understand?"

"Yessss... My king!!!"

'The surface will boil with activity soon... Those land dwellers surely didn't care about the old treaty at all, acting as if we didn't exist. Twice they have ignored it, now we won't be sitting idle here anymore. Cross the sea and the abyss will swallow your troops...'

.............

'Geeez, what is wrong with these vampires? Why do they like mutual destruction so much? Is this a thing amongst these guys? I guess I have some probing to do later...'

As the world's attention is directed at Romania at the moment Viktor knew that he couldn't really help much but give up on looking around for his spoils. Luckily there should be enough test subjects for his research on the vampires in his laboratory and under his direct instructions, his team of 'mad' muggle scientists whom he 'recruited' long ago should be working on these very resilient test subjects right now. How a scientist's mind worked is a mystery, they are willing to do anything for the sake of truth, they would even beg if they had to. Much to Viktor's convince, there are tons of talents in the muggle world that are deprived of the chance to make something great just because they lacked the funding and a much needed push. Viktor wouldn't waste these talents, not in his watch. His search for the truth, power and freedom has only just begun, having the help of these many heads would do him wonders in accomplishing his tasks.

What do they say? More heads are better than one? (especially when these head's processing abilities are augmented by virtual intelligence)

"Natasha..."

"Yes Milord?"

"What is the status of your mission?"

"Mr. P is showing great intelligence and talent as I have stated in previous my report. I have also managed to get close to him and become friends, he hates fake people who are childish and annoying like the read headed Weasley and the blond boy Malfoy. Apart from too many girls being attracted to Mr. P which causes me some minor issues there's great progress on the mission status as he came to realise what Hagrid took from Gringgots at the start of the semester. Right now he took great interest in exploring the mysteries of Hogwarts, he keeps on going to the third floor at night despite the headmaster's warning as you have predicted."

"And did you manage to decipher the layout of the third floor where the stone is hidden?"

"Yes Milord, however, the stone is not there the moment I infiltrated. I surmise it is hidden elsewhere and until the moment you predicted came it won't be shown."

°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°

'Why is Dumbledore making this little joke of a maze instead of properly protecting the stone just as he promised to the Flammels? That crazy old fool will spit blood when master's plans are realised.'

Natasha thought as she brushed her red curly hair to the side of her left ear while she pretended to read beside one of the eye candies in school at the moment, man of the year, slayer of giants, bane of werewolves, devourer of princesses, (rumors) the boy who lived, and most importantly Mr. Savior of the wizarding world (European version)... Harold James Potter himself, who is clearly struck by hormones at the moment as he swallowed his seemingly non-existent saliva before looking away.

"Umm Natasha..."

Harry asked the only friend he got ever since he enrolled in Hogwarts as she seemed more pleasant in his eyes than the others.

"Yes Harry?"

Natasha slowly lifted her chin, looked towards Harry's direction and away from the book she was reading.

"Can I trust you with a secret?"

Harry's face is serious, like he was about to confess of his crimes about stealing glances at his 'friend' when she is busy reading and dreaming about the two of them running through the horizon where the sky is always golden.

"Umhmm..."

The lovely redhead gave him a nod and a nasal response without second thoughts that did not require the use of tongue which is very convenient for her as she hated to speak her mind. (at least in Harry's perception, but mehh it's her training)

"Well, you see, the day Hagrid took me to Gringgots, he took something else before the whole Gringgots heist ever happened. I believe it is the sorcerer's stone that sir Nicolas Flammel entrusted to his 'loyal friend', which I think is Headmaster Dumbledore."

The young wizard intentionally stopped his quiet speech as if he was waiting for the million dollar question from the other party.

"And... Your point is..."

"I want to steal the stone to resurrect my parents."

Natasha closed her book much to Harry's shock and with a raised right brow she asked as if in confusion. "Are you sure?" to which the boy only nodded his head with much determination.

"You see... I found out that there's a door in the third floor of the castle that houses a three headed dog that guards a trap door. It is highly likely that the headmaster hid the stone in that place, the reason for his sudden warning at the sorting ceremony. I talked to the grounds keeper two days ago and found out that the three headed dog is actually named Fluffy and would sleep like a log with some music. I'm planning to go at Christmas break where there's going to be lesser people in the castle."

"That answers a lot of my questions. Except for why you are telling me this, unless you plan to involve me in this little heist of yours. Are you sure that the stone can revive your parents? What is your plan in case we are found out? And how prepared are you? Christmas break is only a few days away."

This is why he took a liking for Natasha, she is the epitome of meticulousness if there is such a thing. She is very smart and mature, plus those glasses she's wearing didn't serve to bring down her appeal but simply buffed it up a couple of times. He felt a sense of needing to protect her whenever he looked at his friend who seemed like she couldn't hurt a fly even if she tried to.

"That's why I'm telling you this, I'm not good at all in planning things out. I go a little spontaneous most of the time and it could be a little dangerous in some occasions. So yeah. I need your help... Please?"

Harry tried to look as pitifully cute as he could as he pouted his lips while doing the puppy dog eyes with a pleading face and hands clasped together as if to pray to Lord almighty. To which Natasha smiled as she shook her head...

"Alright Harry, you just got yourself an accomplice. This is how it's going to go..."
