Not many people showed positive attitude towards Viktor's transfer to Hogwarts, especially the males. They acted like animals guarding their territories whenever he walked by and saw their partners or their crush looking at the god among men looking transfer student. He is even of a most ancient noble house origin, which means his background shouldn't be simple. A very delectable sight to parents who wants to raise their influence and to young women who are dreaming to be taken away by a handsome prince charming.
Another subject of most gathering these days are about the boy who lived. Like Viktor, he is also a noble with deep roots and background. His fame bolstered by rumors and fake feats served only to make others in his age be awed by him, or shun him due to jealousy. He is rumoured to be a genius in academics as well as in practicals, plus he is tall and very handsome with build almost comparable to the much older Viktor.
Some comparisons are made but in the end it wasn't a competition so the students were devided into three factions: one group are those who like Viktor, the second are those who like Harry, and the third are those who didn't have the time to care about these two idols.
Viktor walked along the corridors heading to his first class in Hogwarts following a semi transparent map flashed directly into his eyes zoomed thirty meters with him at the center, its an improved version of the marauders map that James and his friends made to cause mischief and loads of pranking. Girls would often times look his way and look at the floor with flushed cheeks, some much more aggressive ones approached him to greet or introduce themselves, some are even handing him letters.
Sigh* 'Girls are scary.'
Viktor reaffirmed himself not to be tied down with any girl, no matter what. It's not that he didn't like the idea of having a girlfriend or a wife. It's just that having one is a huge hassle in a man's life. They require love and everything else, it also requires time and attention, things that he can't just spare to compromise his long term goal. So he only looked at them most of the time, their youthful vigor, the fresh allure of their skin, the tiny irresistible hairs on their neck, and their naivety.
'eYouth!'
From afar walks a senior with blonde hair, almond shaped bright brown eyes and a plump pair of succulent lips, a perfectly crafted nose like the work of gods and her face is likened to the goddess of beauty herself. Her uniform only enhanced the charm she was exuding outwards as she flashed her perfect set of white teeth for everyone to see and appreciate.
Viktor immediately refocused on the map to find her name.
'Vivien Lockhart... Lockhart? That Lockhart? Well... Fuck it.'
"Ahem... Ahh miss..."
Viktor called out as she was about to pass him by and they locked eyes for a second making Viktor feel a little out of breath.
'What's happening to me?'
"Umm... Hi my name is Viktor... Viktor Krum. You see I'm a new student here, I just transferred from... Well I just transferred and I was hoping you could point me to my Potions class that would be a tremendous help."
Viktor offered his hand in greeting while he talked about his current 'situation'.
"Oh hi Viktor. You must be the transfer from Durmstrang. Fourth year yes? Straight ahead, I just came from there... The name's Vivien."
She shook Viktor's hand with a wide smile, an answer to his question and they just got to be acquainted to each other much to his relief.
"Well that's a relief! Thought I was lost in the winding stairs again. Thank you so much miss Vivien..."
Purposely dragging out the last part of the name, the beauty was quick on realising she forgot her etiquette and only gave half of her name, her cheeks slightly turned red while her eyes clearly showed how shocked she is of her own behaviour.
"Lockhart. Vivien Lockhart. My name is Vivien Lockhart! Nice to meet you Viktor."
'What!? Why am I so embarrassed?'
She turned redder and redder by the second, she shook her head and scurried off in a hurry leaving a dumbfounded Viktor who didn't know what he did to make her flustered like that.
"What just happened?!"
Viktor regained his composure and muttered to himself, he felt like he was possessed by a lovestruck fool and didn't know what was going on with himself as his heart continued to race as he thought of Vivien. He shook his head while looking at the spike of hormones in a report from his virtual Intelligence which monitors the state of his body.
'Hormones. I forgot I'm a teenager now, this can be dangerous...'
Viktor found it hard to focus during the class. If not for his expertise in the field of potioneering he would have already blown the coulron he was using. Passing thoughts of what could be kept on pestering his head and what made him more and more frustrated is that he actually liked these thoughts.
........,....,,.,....
Viktor finally gave in and searched his database for Vivien's file to know more about her. There wasn't much to read as everything was the usual overt information like how old she is, what classes she is taking, her parent's name, etc...
Through his 'indulgence' he confirmed that she is indeed related to 'that' Lockhart. The very famous, very handsome, very talented, very brave and many more things he claim himself to be. Gilderoy Lockhart is Vivien's paternal uncle. Viktor could already feel a headache coming as he focused on this part of the report.
"I hope she only inherited the good looks..."
Viktor mumbled to himself and continued to read.

"Excuse me, miss Vivien... Can I join you in this table for lunch?"
Viktor directly spoke when Vivien turned her head to see who just called her. Perhaps remembering her clumsy behaviour from their first encounter, her cheeks slightly blushed while she nodded her head and motioning Viktor with an 'if it pleases you gesture'.
The female students in the Ravenclaw table were gobsmacked at this unexpected development of events. Who would have thought that not even a week passed and someone has already taken the attention of their prince charming? Eyes directed at Vivien only made her slightly uncomfortable but she just shrugged her shoulder and ignored it altogether. The male students on the other hand are gnashing their teeth, their goddess is being stolen in front of them and they could only helplessly watch.
Viktor didn't care about what other unimportant people thought about him, he understood many years ago that there will always be haters and trying to please them will just be a waste of time.
'Bite me.'
That is the full extent of a response unimportant people will get from him.
The two began conversing. Although they were awkward at it at first the two managed to talk for a little and familiarise themselves with one another.

[Vivien POV]
My roommate pointed to the direction of the Slytherin long table where a group of young men sat as they conversed with one another. My roommate was giggling and squealing while looking at a certain man in that group.
"Look how handsome the new transfer student is... I want someone like him to court me. I'd agree right away and marry the guy."
I couldn't help but stare more carefully at the transfer student. If I remember correctly then I believe his name is Viktor Krum, a young lord from a most ancient noble house from Bulgaria. His father died to a vampire when he was one and his mother also died when he was four. I can't help but feel sorry for him. Maybe he is very sad to have lost his parents when he is so young. His childhood must have been very difficult, a lord would have to bear tons of responsibilities and a child becoming one is simply going to be a huge burden to their happiness.
'He is very handsome indeed. My narcissistic paternal uncle would be ashamed of himself and look like a peasant if he is placed beside Viktor. He is... interesting.'
My face heated up when I realised my thoughts are going astray, it's just that Viktor had this neat looking dark brown hair, a brightly glowing deep brown eyes, and amazing jawline that gives him a very, very, manly vibe which boosts his charm.
'Ahem'
Yep. Definitely my type.
Classes started immediately the day after the welcoming and the sorting ceremonies. Some of the first years can be seen looking around and wandering the corridors of the castle like lost sheep, they would approach and ask their seniors only to be laughed at. It's been an entertainment and a tradition to make fun of the first years who are lost in the castle's corridor.
As I was walking towards my class I saw a familiar figure from afar, he walked with the confidence of a lion, every stride is sure and steady, his walking would be enough of an intimidation as one could feel overwhelmed just from watching him.
"Excuse me..."
He called out to me, introduced himself and asked me for directions 'His voice is captivating'. He was looking at me directly in the eyes 'His eyes are more beautiful up close' I was probably dazed for a moment as I failed to answer a formal introduction and forgot my etiquette. I ran when I felt my face was about to burst from embarrassment. I don't understand why I did but I just felt like I had to run so I did. I managed to at least answer his question though, I hope I was able to help him a little.
I was eating lunch when a very familiar voice called out to me. I looked back and saw Viktor asking me if he could join me in the table. I thought Durmstrang students hated the company of half and muggleborn wizards, but since he is asking me in front of many of such origin I guess he doesn't really hate them himself. My heart is already racing when I noticed, my throat is parched and I found it hard to speak what I wanted to say so I gestured to the seat beside me with a 'please'.
Viktor is smart and very funny although he looked like a strict person who didn't like to make jokes, he actually is better than my first impression. We talked for a while under the murderous gazes of other students but I saw him as relaxed as ever seemingly unaffected by these stares and so I also decided to just imitate him ignore them altogether to focus on what's truly important.
