The steady sounds of footsteps and echoes resonated through the dark corridor. A single light, coming from a flaming torch, illuminated two faces in the darkness. Those appearances belonged to Ena the Oracle and Adin the Immortal.
"Where are we going?" Adin asked.
"To my prophecy room," Ena replied in her usual gentle voice.
"So, you actually got one? Are you sure it's not about some perverted stuff again?"
"Of course! I'm quite serious about performing my duty as the Oracle. I may not look so, but please don't underestimate my abilities. I've also aged for a long time."
"All right, when are we going to reach there? It's been hours we're walking nonstop."
"Be patient, Demon King!"
Ena kept her smile as she continued to walk ahead. Her blindingly immaculate smile would be enough to make anyone forget about the negative feelings, but the traces of disappointment didn't leave Adin's face. He could only be satisfied by death.
The continuous sound of Ena's footfalls ceased as she stopped moving any further. She used the flaming torch to lighten what was situated before them: It was a large heavy door, having two golden dragons carved on its top perfectly.
The moment Ena pushed it open, a shining white light gloriously brightened the dark surroundings in the corridor and dazzled Adin's eyes.
She entered first, and Adin followed her as he got used to the dazzling light. The door slamming shut behind him, Adin found himself in a totally colorless room. Everywhere was brightly white and irritatingly blinding.
"So... This is your prophecy room?"
"Yes. It's where I get my visions from. I can concentrate very well when I'm here, but I just sometimes come to relax. Can't you feel it? This serene, peaceful sense of life..."
Adin didn't feel anything like that.
"The only thing I can feel is this annoying white light on my eyes."
Ena smiled at Adin's words. She then closed her eyes, opened her hands and moved them ahead, focusing her mind and attention on receiving a vision from the future.
—7 days later—
After a long time standing in the white space, Adin's patience came to an end.
"All right, it's been days now. Would a single prophecy take such a long time? She didn't tell me that. Damn!" he grumbled. "Is she going to be OK like this without any sleep or food?"
However, Ena's long-lasting attempt to get a vision ended as she suddenly gasped out loud, opening her eyes quickly.
Adin used the chance to eventually get his answer.
"Oh! Finally! So, what did you see? How can I die?"
"Flames..." Ena murmured in a soft voice.
"Huh? What's that? Flames? What are you saying?"
Adin looked surprised and puzzled.
"I saw four colorful flames."
"Heh? You've spent seven whole days, and the only thing you've seen is just that? Flames? Four flames? Only that? And what's it supposed to mean?"
"It's not that easy," she replied, "I had to wait seven days for the flames to appear completely. One appeared in green, one in red, one in blue, and one in black."
"But where can I find those flames? I've not heard about anything like this before."
"Me neither. I really don't know what those flames mean, but there should be a meaning behind them. That may be your only chance to die since this is the first time I had to wait a long time to get such a brief vision. There mustn't be any other way for you to die. Sorry, but this is all I can do as the Oracle."
Although Adin sounded confused and irritated, he felt unimaginably excited and thrilled. He could feel the excitement in every single point of his body.
An instinctive evil smirk appeared on Adin's animated face. "Am-I-excited?"
His hands began shaking uncontrollably. "So... I know nothing about these flames... I don't know where to start... But that's the only way I can die? Hahahaha.... uhuhahahaha. I'm going to have a great adventure!"
"You're right except one thing," Ena remarked abruptly, blushing in passion and lust, "It's not 'I', it's 'we'."
Adin's excited expression disappeared as his usual bored face replaced it.
"No! it's just me!" he glared coldly at her.
As he said that, Ena's hands once again grabbed Adin's waist, using all of her force to stop him from going away.
"Whaaat? Please master! Take me with yourself!" she begged.
"Don't touch me! I don't need perverts in my journey! Let go of me right now! Also, I'm not your master or anything like that!"
Adin pushed her away, but she came to again stick her hands to his legs and keep stopping him from moving any further. "Want to leave me here? Master is too cruel!"
"I told you I'm not your master. Go trouble someone else! I have to focus on dying now, so I got no time to waste on a pervert like you!"
Putting all of his pressure on his right leg, he could finally get rid of her. Adin then tended to leave the blindingly white room. However, Ena's sudden sound of crying made him pause for a moment.
"Cruel! Too Cruel! You've come here and defeated my guards; if you leave me, who would protect me?" Ena complained tearfully, "How can you leave a woman alone in such a place? You should at least bring me with yourself and take responsibility for what you've done! Also, I've helped you willingly to guide you on how to die. You owe me! You can't just leave me here alone, can you?"
A wicked smile covered Adin's face.
"Of course I can... since I'm Demon King."
Ena's face became entirely red. She was breathing so heavy and fast. Her strong passion began striking both her mind and body. Those begging cries had changed to loud, lustful moans.
"If you take me with yourself, I can help you find those flames. There might be some other visions coming to me. You see, I'm the Oracle! I can still be useful to you!"
"You..." Adin frowned, sighing afterward, "All right then, I guess I have no choice. Let's go!"
Ena raised her arms in the air, shouting out a cry of victory.
"Yayyy!"
