Some notes before you start reading the series, this is pure work of fiction and has nothing to do with any religion that covers some of the characters. Do not take every difference from what's written in some sacred scriptures and in this story 'cause it has nothing to do with it in all honesty. The concept of angels and a deity that supervises them all are just taken as inspiration into writing the story.
