Back to the forest of Jangar.
Olag was still walking while finding his prey, Levi. His severed arm is covered with fabric, the blood already stopped bleeding but his mind was still irritated and wrathful.
Just a few minutes later, red wild eyes started to pop-up in the bushes around him. Their faces were covered in the shadows. Next, the creatures released wild snarls. Then, one of them walked slowly towards Olag. It was a dire wolf. The others followed.
"What's with these wolves!" said Olag, then he assumed a defensive stance.
The wolves attacked simultaneously. This attack caused him to panic for a few moments. He swung his ax towards a wolf in front of him and it was slashed. But, killing a single wolf was nothing if you're fighting a pack of it. Wolves jumped towards him and bit his left shoulder and his left and right foot.
Olag shouted a growl and goes wild.
Several hours later.
Near the Orcs' territory.
An orc was barely walking. His body was covered with severe wounds and scratches. His fatigue and injuries made him so powerless and vulnerable but he tried to come back home to report what he really needed to report. The status of dwarves and elves in Natura.
He reached the very front of the territory and the two guards immediately noticed him
"That's Olag, the leader's brother!" said one of the guards holding a spear.
They come to his side immediately and helped him.
Several minutes later, in a huge tent which houses the leader. Olag was on a bed, treated by a thin orc with a long white beard holding a staff.
Later, the thin orc leaves the side of Olag and goes to report to Oran.
"Olag is fine now." He said
Then, Oran, the leader of the orc goes to his brother Olag.
"What happened?! Who did this to you? Those elves?!" Oran asked simultaneously.
Then Olag told his story in Natura and how he got into his state now.
"Really?" asked the surprised Oran.
------
Outside the cave, there is a tree near the edge of a cliff. The river below was heard raging with its fast-flowing waters.
Levi is following Nate walking towards that tree. Nate stopped after arriving in front of the tree and turned to Levi.
"You will start your assessment here. If you've passed my standard, you can continue. If not, then your only choice is to go back to your home."
"I will become strong. I don't want to be beaten up again without a fight. I couldn't even save myself, let alone other people. I don't want to run powerless all my life." said Levi with a resolve.
"If that's so, let's start."
Nate turned to walk towards the tree. Then, all of a sudden, he kicked the tree in a blink of an eye, from the looks of it, the kick was not that strong yet tree shook and leaves started to fall off it. Then, Nate moves so fast and get each leave in the mid-air.
After only a few seconds, he's finished. In his hands was all of the leaves that fall off. It fills up his one hand that he needed to use the other one.
"Try it," Nate said to Levi.
Levi was flabbergasted, he didn't know if he can also do that feat. But he remembered the reason he wanted to be strong so he walked towards the tree and kicked it with all his might.
"Ouch! Aw! aw! aw!" Levi screamed in pain as he holds onto his right foot. Unfortunately for him, the tree was so hard that it didn't even shake up a little bit.
He looked at Nate with an embarrassed look. Nate just shook his head in disappointment. Although he knew that Levi would fail on his first try, he didn't think that he would fail miserably that the tree wouldn't even shake.
"I guess I should teach you first the very basics of martial arts and body foundation building," said Nate.
"Martial arts and body foundation building? I thought that you will teach me magic? I am an aspiring mage." said Levi. He was referring to his memories of mages in the books and movies in his past life as Elvin where mages were just a long-ranged old man with a staff that releases magic from afar.
"I should tell you this. Do you know that a mage is a vessel and the one who was allowed to control magic?" asked Nate.
"Yes," replied Levi.
"So in that manner, magic is not only bound to be released, it can also be used to enhance your strength, agility, vitality, dexterity, and others. I knew that because we dragons were one of the first and native users of magic. I can even use magic on my sword yet I am a mage. I hope you see my point. Besides, a mage that can't even fight closely or hand to hand is useless."
Levi was enlightened by what Nate has said. It's true, what will happen to him if his enemy will fight him a hand to hand? He would instantly be crushed.
"That's right, if I can use magic to some other purpose then I would be unbeatable!" said Levi.
"You're very sharp, young man. Now, let's start your training with the basics. Do 100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, 100 squats and a sprint from the cave's entrance back to here after that, meditate and try to control your magic. Do it continuously for weeks unless I say you stop.
100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, 100 squats and a sprint from the cave's entrance back to here and meditate to control his magic was simple for Levi for a few days, but for an unspecified number of weeks? That changed things up.
"Start now!" Nate commanded.
Levi started his training.
One day...
Two days...
Four days...
A week later...
He finished after a week yet his master didn't seem to let him stop.
Nate just looked onto him from time to time then goes back to the cave to care for his wife, Shera.
Two weeks...
Three weeks...
It was almost a month since he started doing his routine when Nate goes out of the cave and said to him,
"Now, kick that tree."
