Chapter 22 - It Moved!

"What was that?!" said Caleb with a face full of surprise. The last magic that Levi has done was not a common spell! "And he can use a magic barrier too?! How come! My goodness, what's with this young man, he was extraordinary!" he added.

"That magic was like a pressure weighing down on Sirius. But that spell was entirely different from the true pressure spell used by some higher-ranking mages. As for the magic barrier, I don't know how he has done it but I'm sure he doesn't even moved-up yet." Maris joined in with Caleb.

"You saw it too Elven Queen?" Caleb asked.

"Yeah. It was not a pressure weighing down on him but it was like the ground is pulling him because the force is more on the pull towards the ground than push." Maris replied to him what she has observed.

While the two were discussing about the magic. Jadis, Jacob, Jeff, and Garde, on the other hand, were still focused on the fight that just ended.

They were all shocked. But who could blame them? Levi has just beaten a swordmaster! Although it is not done easily that was still great in itself considering that Levi was not a true mage yet but a conjurer.

Back to Levi. He removed his gravity magic on Sirius and ended his suffering. Although Levi has not beaten him up using brute force, that magic was enough to make this guy plead for his life and surrender.

Sirius coughed up a few mouthfuls of blood. The spell has done damage to him internally. The sudden change in gravity, that weight was not a joke. After some moments, he breathed a sigh of relief.

Levi walked onto him and handed his right arm over and offered help for him to stand up. Sirius just looked at him indifferently and ignored his help. He snorted and spit saliva on the ground and help himself to stand. But he can't. His head hurt so much that he can't balance himself. Levi helped him even so and hold him until he was good enough to walk.

It is nothing for Levi to help him, besides there's no real fight among the two, it was just a misunderstanding that led to a brawl. But Sirius felt like he was utterly humiliated so he walked away without saying anything.

Levi was left there standing still as the wind blew up clouds of dust from the ground.

He turned around all the elves and dwarves that formed a circle around the fighting place earlier. They all looked at him with doubts in their hearts. When Levi looked behind, all the people in that area stepped back in fear. When he looked at his right the people also stepped back, putting a distance between them and Levi.

No words came out of his mouth this time. It is only natural for people to doubt him and his intentions. He fought one of their swordmasters and defeated him if he can defeat Sirius how much more these normal people?

"Levi!" There was a sudden call of a woman's voice.

Levi turned to look at his left side and saw Maris, Jadis, Garde, and Jeff running towards him while Caleb is following them.

Maris picked up the Ancient Elvendra Sword and presented it to Levi as she was holding it with care using her two hands.

"This. Get it," she said.

"N-no, I don't really want that. That's a treasure of the elves I can't simply get it just because of a bet. I've only done it to provoke the man." Levi replied as he rejected the sword.

"No. Get this sword. We Elves do not go back on our words. If you rejected it, it is as if you're mocking us." said Maris.

"Mocking? How did it relate to me rejecting the sword?" said Levi. But as he looked at Maris' eyes, it was full of determination. She was serious about it. "I guess I should get it, right?"

He gets the sword and strapped the sheath around his waist. He unsheathed the sword and looked at the sword very closely. It is a very sharp single-edged katana with inscriptions on its body.

"Thanks," he said.

"We will continue the meeting tomorrow. Levi here needs to rest after that battle." Jadis said.

"Wait! I have to ask something to Levi." Caleb immediately said after he heard Jadis' words.

"Reserve that for tomorrow Caleb. Levi was obviously exhausted," said Jadis.

Then they all dispersed and goes to their own places.

Meanwhile, in a dark enclosed room. Sirius is sitting on the floor with his back leaning on the wall. His face was dark as it was covered in shadow.

"How did this happen! Am I too weak?! That man was not a mage yet!" he shouted and thrown the helm that he was wearing.

"I'm humiliated! I'm humiliated! Aaaaahh!!!!"

------

"Gravity magic..." Levi whispered to himself.

"Magic Barrier... I didn't know how I did all of those!" he added.

As he was deep in thought about the fight he saw the artificial that Garde has made. He forgot about it yesterday because he immediately slept but now, this thing took his interest.

He gets it and connected it to his severed left arm.

"It fits perfectly!" said Levi.

After that brief happiness was a problem. The artificial arm wouldn't work. This piece of metal shaped into an arm was not connected to his nerves so his brain couldn't send signals to control it.

"As I anticipated, there is no chance this will work," said Levi as his confidence and hope turned to despair.

"That's right, if I can use magic to some other purpose then I would be unbeatable!" These words rang again on his mind.

That took his interest.

"Magic is everywhere and a mage is the one who was vested rights to control it. What if I use magic as a substitute for nerve signals?! That's right, I can control magic, and if this arm has magic then I can control it also!" said Levi as he came up with his wonderful and logical idea.

Thankfully, Nate instructed him to learn to control his magic. That training has made things easier for him this time in need. He can now control the amount, the flow, the speed and the direction in which the magic goes as long as it will not go too far from him.

Amazingly, the most spectacular thing happened, the metal index finger suddenly moved. This was because he dropped his magic into that point!

"I-it moved!" said Levi with a bright genuine smile.
