Chapter 22 - Chapter 22 - Rage

Someone who braved enough to harm the main royal family members on their own Palace meant only one thing, the culprit was highly skilled and confident that he could escape unscathed. Fear and shocks started to appear on Bening's little face.

She knew that maybe her personal guards would not enough to counter the culprit. The best solution was to bring her injured little brother to the safest place. And the safest place on the whole kingdom was next to its strongest cultivator, the King of Rivermountain, Alash.

Bening yelled and ordered Merga to call the guards and prepared Jago's carriage. The guards ran from their post and executed Bening's command. They lifted up Jago from his bed and brought him to the carriages.

Bening followed closely and watched the surrounding with cautions. Her heart beat faster and faster. She knew that there was high possibility that the culprit was still around in Jago's courtyard.

Bening managed to board Jago's carriage. She ordered the driver to bring them to the Royal Castle. She also yelled to Jago's guards to protect the carriage along the way.

Soon the carriage started moving. Bening kept her vigilance. She threw her glance at the surrounding now and then. Although she looked calm on the outsides, she was actually trembled in fears.

With the carriage rode with its max speed, the Royal castle building could be seen from the carriage just within few minutes. Joy started to swell up inside Bening's heart, but she kept reminding herself that the journey had not over yet. They would be truly safe when they were on her father sides.

Not far away from the galloping carriage and their guards, a shadow shuttled through the woods. The shadow maintained its distance from the entourage.

"Humph. This little girl of mine, I wonder if she was really my child. How can she become strong cultivator this way?" the shadow mumbled to herself.

When the Royal castle building could be seen on the distance, the shadow stopped her pursuit and remain stood on the place. She shook her head and decides to give up. Yellowish color surrounded her body and she disappeared from the place where she stood just now, much like an illusion.

On the Royal castle gate, a team of guards patrolled the area diligently when they saw a carriage rode its way to their direction. They didn't pay much attention to the carriages since it was very normal for the Main Palace to had visitors. It could be said that the Palace's Main Castle was one of the busiest castle on the Kingdom.

But when they saw that the carriage didn't had any intention to stop when they neared the castle gate, the team of guards started to take battle stances and moved to the defensive formation. The captain of the team yelled with his angry voices that could be heard from miles away.

"How dare you cause a ruckus in the King of Rivermountain's Castle!"

The guards withdrew their weapons and readied themself to attack the incoming carriages. Jago almost never used his own carriage when he got out. He always hopped on Asri's carriage. That was maybe the biggest reason the Royal Castle's guard team did not recognize the carriage. Less than 50m from the guard team, Bening's head came out from the carriage window and she yelled to the team.

"Open the gate, we're in hurry."

Seeing Princess Bening on the carriage, the captain stunned for a while before agilely commanded his subordinate to open the gate. It did not take long before the gate opened. The carriage passed through the gate without lessening the speed. The guard team only shook their head when the carriage finally passed through and they could no longer saw the shadow.

In few breaths of times, the carriage arrived on the Royal Castle. Servants and guards were running around when the carriage came. Bening jumped from the carriage's door and asked the guard to brought Jago to the main hall and asked several others servant to contact Royal's doctor.

Bening ran through the castle and arrived at the main hall. Several ministers were discussing something with the King. Alash seemed to be pondering something and occasionally gave instructions to his ministers.

When Bening entered the main hall with all the ruckus, all peoples on the main hall turned their head facing the entrance. Alash scrunched his eyes.

"Bening, what is happening with you? It isn't like you to break the etiquette like this." a soft and calm voices came from the King.

Bening bowed, with flushed face, she spoke loudly, "Please accept my apologize Lord Father, but there is an emergency situation. My little brother has a life threatening situation."

Shock appeared on Alash's face. He waved his hand and dismissed the ministers, "Dismiss, I have something to handle. Bening, show me the way!"

Bening bowed her head and led the way to the Royal's infirmary room. Inside the room, Jago was treated by several Royal Doctors. His body still showed symptoms of berserk conditions. Red color was shown on all his body. Although it was mainly tone down compared to previously, it was still noticeable.

When Alash reached the infirmary room, he took a glance at Jago's condition. Alash extended his spiritual sense and see those rampaging energy inside Jago's body. He watched the shattered energy core area inside Jago's energy center dimension.

Grim expression appeared on Alash's face. Jago was his son. Whatever talent he possessed or how trashy his affinity was, it would not change the fact that Jago was his son and carrying his own blood.

Rage built in Alash's heart. Unintentionally a massive pressure released from him. This pressure descended on the entire Capital City. To normal peoples, they wouldn't felt a thing, maybe slightly increased difficulty on breathing, but to cultivators that sensitive to the element energy, it was like a massive boulder suddenly pressed over their shoulder.
