Unlike the name, 'maid' status in the Royal Palace held quiet significant importance. The Palace's administration arranged the maid to become prince's private companion, because they would not had any close friends until they lived out from Palace and studied on Academy.
The age different between the maid servant and the princes/princess was arranged so that it would not have much different. Because of the competition of the inheritance, it was normal for each prince to be hostile to each other. Thus the only possible friendship was to have servants with similar ages.
This was similar case that happens to Jago's mother. She became Queen's personal servant since early teens, thus the relationship was getting closer and finally they became sworn sister to each other.
Every personal maid for the princes was arranged by the head butler, Jancuk. Due to above reason and the possibility of sending their own descendant as personal maid servant of possible future King or Queen, Jancuk enjoyed special treatment for his status. Such as previously, Jancuk arranged Semok to become Jago's personal maid.
Semok was a descendant of the Grey Family. Although Grey family was not a noble family, the current head of Grey family, Rambut Grey, was a genius in trading. Under his lead, the Grey Wood Merchant Group which belonged to his family became one of the richest merchant groups in the Capital.
By his wealth only, Grey family would not be able to get a chance of a marriage to the royal family, but using his money and connection, he managed to get Jancuk bringing in his daughter to become personal maid on the Royal Palace.
Semok was exceptionally beautiful girl, at that time during her first visit to the Royal Castle, Kemaki had been infatuated with her. Because Kemaki already had his own personal maid, the king arranged Semok to become Jago's maid.
Kemaki had always been unsatisfied with his father arrangement. Thus after Jago's awakening ceremony had been conducted and Jago got a disappointing result, Kemaki directly found Jancuk and asked Semok to be shifted to his quarter.
Jancuk, the cunning pig, didn't want to waste this opportunity and directly fulfill Kemaki's request. He didn't even ask for Jago's permission or informed him whatsoever. Once Jago reached his quarter, both maids were doing their own task. Normally the personal maid was the one that would attend to the prince at all time. But since Semok was now gone from his quarter, there was no one to attend him at now.
"Any replacement for my personal maid?" Jago asked one of the maid servants.
"I don't know Young Lord."
"Is Jancuk coming this morning?"
"We don't see Lord Jancuk coming to the quarter, Young Lord."
Received disappointing answer, Jago went directly to his room. He knew that everything changed now. Although the awakening result was disappointing, Jago knew that he couldn't give up. Not because the King's inheritance, but because he knew that once he gave up, there were no longer place for him in the Rivermountain family.
In the middle of the night, Jago's courtyard.
Jago sat and meditated on his own room. He tried to focus his will to the wood element energy that he gathered during the awakening ceremony. During awakening ceremony, due to existence of the mysterious dark element, the wood element easily gathered on his energy center.
The wood element energy was scattered around. His own energy center looked like a vast night sky with few colorful lights as the stars. These colorful lights was consisted of five color of element energy with the most of it would be green color of the wood element.
Jago didn't know that normal energy center should not be dark in color, much more an eerily vast dark space like the night sky. Common energy center of a cultivator on the beginning stage of cultivation normally would be a blank white space. Element energy would be scattered randomly inside this white unlimited space. In ancient record, there was possibility of an energy center space to evolve because of element energy mutation, but it was a very rare case.
An ancient scroll mentioned that a mutated lightning element cultivator had been known to have an energy center space that possessed continuous of lightning storm inside of it. But that was an element energy that undergone a mutation.
Not knowing that his own energy center was uncommon, Jago kept trying to gather the scattered wood element inside his energy center. According to the book he read before, to cultivate the first level of Mage Apprentice, Jago should try to compressed and refined the wood element energy into mist like substance inside his energy center.
Thus basically Jago needed to gather the scattered element energy inside his energy center then condensed those element energy to form a misty state of element energy. From a scattered state to the misty state, the element energy would provide increase in term of energy supply to the cultivator. The misty state also termed as gaseous state by cultivator.
Judging from the trend, it was easily deducted that the goal for each cultivator would be to absorb and condense that element energy into their most stabilized form. The ultimate goal of each mage path cultivator was to form a solidified elemental core inside their energy space.
Jago kept working hard for hours. He didn't realize that morning had come. Jago wake up and took a bath. A maid came inside his room and helped him changed his clothes. Since yesterday, Jago asked one of his maid to become his personal maid to replaced Semok.
Because he had only two maids, once one maid became his personal maid there would be only one left to carry out the job in his courtyard. He would try talked to Jancuk to solve this situation. Although he might already become an unfavorable candidate for the throne, he still had authority to ask a maid servant to the Butler Jancuk.
"Young Lord, a notice came from the main castle, today there will be no breakfast with the family." his new personal maid, named Merga informed him once he done with changing clothes.
"Okay." Jago nodded his head to confirm that he acknowledged the notice.
