When Marie opened her eyes, she could see a completely gray sky. It seemed to be moving in circles.
So she closed her eyes, and it was at that moment that she remembered everything that had happened so when she opened her eyes again.
The sky had stopped moving. When she raised her head and looked at her stomach, she realized that the wound had disappeared leaving only dried blood.
Squeezing her hands, she let a few tears fall as she remembered her family and Suzie. The hatred she was feeling somehow began to subside.
Just because she couldn't do anything to change what had happened, she didn't even know where she was.
So she got up from the cold, lifeless ground and started walking through a wasteland that seemed to have no end.
As she walked, she could feel a strange energy in the environment that tickled her. She did not understand what it was, but the energy was too unstable.
'From what I remember about Mommy Miyuki, the energy that causes tickling should belong to nuclear energy.'
Marie then scratched her head, trying to remember, although it was at that moment that she remembered the book her mother had given her, which was a way of educating the gods.
So using her divine energy, a book appeared that have a title 'Survival for child gods'.
When she opened it, she tried to look for something related to nuclear energy, so she checked the Index and found what she was looking for.
She turns the pages until she comes to a page that had different yellow caution symbols.
'Nuclear energy produces radiation, which is dangerous for any living being because it can alter people's DNA.
How it can also destroy it, so children are recommended to avoid places with the nuclear radiation symbol, but in case there is no symbol.
You should have the following considerations to know if there is radiation, if the soil is devoid of life and is dry.
It may be a sign of radiation, but if there is no sign of life, it is a sign that you are possibly in a place with high radiation.
Not to be confused with arid climates such as deserts or snow tundras, where these requirements are met but are not the same.
All this depends on the sensation that the divine energy produces in you. If you feel a tickling sensation, there is radiation in the environment. (See page 657 for more information.)
But if you feel a slight itch it is space energy, so it is a place without atmosphere where the different energies of space cause itching. (See page 345 for more information.)
There is also the burning sensation, but it is only possible if you are in limbo, in that case you must flee from that place since the danger is immediate. (Check the Dangers of Limbo book for more information.) '
Scratching her head, she turned the pages until she came to page 657.
'Radiation-filled environments can be caused by many factors but are generally produced by nuclear annihilation or nuclear accidents.
The few gods that have been able to communicate with other multiverse have discovered that in many of them there is destruction by different apocalypse.
As gods radiation or any energy will not hurt, but it is important to know that radiation will be the last of the problems you can find.
In those places you can find beasts or perhaps hostile creatures ... '
Marie just sighed and put the book back, before continuing to look at the completely sterile environment of any life.
"I doubt if Mom knew that I would one day find myself in this situation."
Lowering her head, she used her hands to wipe her tears, before reusing her divine energy to appear a small toy humvee.
This had been a gift from his father for him to learn to drive.
Placing it on the ground, she used his divine energy to be able to make it grow.
The humvee slowly grew to its original size. Looking at the beautiful black body, Marie just squeezed her hands, as she wanted to go home so she could see her family again.
As she approached the vehicle, she used her divine energy to open the door and after making a small jump; she got into the military vehicle.
The first thing she did was place pillows on the seat until she could see in the mirror, after which he stretched out one of her hands and with a little twist.
The pedals grew so that she could drive, then she moved the seat closer and settled in so she could drive.
When she got everything ready, she adjusted the rear view mirrors and turned the ignition knob, then pushed the parking brake lever forward and started driving.
Along the way, the Humvee moved smoothly, leaving behind a cloud of dust.
Marie, who was driving, only did it towards the front because she did not even know where she was. It could be on earth or on another planet.
It was a situation where he simply had to continue on his way.
As she progressed through the lifeless wasteland, Marie began to sing a song taught to her by her aunt Sunshine "Country roads, take me home ..."
As time went by, the sky began to darken, but to Marie's fortune, some destroyed buildings could be seen in the distance.
So she revved the Humvee until he came to a rusty signal and it had bullet damage and you could barely understand what it was saying.
'Welcome to Chicago'
Marie was surprised to read that sign because if she remembered her aunt's classes correctly, Chicago was a city in the state of Illinois or it was a county.
With a sigh, Marie could only regret not paying attention to her classes, but that didn't matter. She hoped to find someone in the ruins of the city.
When the Humvee began to move on what appeared to be a destroyed highway, the movement was somewhat uncomfortable, and Marie slowed her speed.
Once she passed a large bridge that appeared to be an entrance to the city, he was surprised to see corpses on the grounds.
Hundreds of thousands of them were lying on the streets, others were inside what appeared to be rusted vehicles, and many more were inside buildings.
Marie only looked sadly at the dead before stopping her Humvee, as she planned to use her divine energy to be able to see a projection of what had happened.
