It was unnaturally hot today, Clara though to herself as she wiped her forehead and sweaty hands for the umpteenth time. The sun was beating down on her neck as she walked the grounds to go to her next lesson in Building B.
She thanked her lucky stars for the white scrub uniform of the Nursing students in her school. At least, it helped her cool down a bit.
Unbeknownst to her, a pair of dark chocolate eyes racked her progress.
"Man! Clara sure was hot. I mean, she looked so prim and proper even in this hot weather." Damien remarked to his friends.
"Didn't you say, your sister was a friend of hers Kurt? Can you please introduce me to her? I would owe you one!" Damien added.
"She wouldn't look at you twice Bro. Clara is so studious and s focused that she has no time for romance." Kurt replied
The guys ribbed Damien because of his obsession with Clara. He laughed along with them, while thinking of a scheme on how to get the girl. "Too bad, my sister went to another school. I want to use her to get close with Clara." He thought.

Meanwhile, Clara barely made it to the classroom as one of her professors stopped her to ask about her research proposal.
There are many people who were jealous of Clara's academic success, one of them was the son of their town, Cedarville's hospital head nurse, Nick.
Nick was a good and popular student. But he is jealous of Clara's continuous good performance. He aimed to clinch the top spot for the dean's list and academic scholarship. Sadly, Clara got the top for both spots.
In Nick's mind, Clara got those spot because she is sucking up to their teachers. He frowned when Clara walked and sat directly in front of their professor's table.
"the teacher's pet arrived, now we can start the class. Everyone, please observe and learn how to be black bellied." He announced mockingly.
"Shut your trap Nick. Just because Clara is hardworking and smarter than you, doesn't mean that you can defame her!" Kim Chen said angrily as she stood up to face the smirking Nick.
As Nick was about to retaliate, their professor entered the room and started the roll call for attendance. Nick and Kim sat down and paid attention.
