Mu Zihan looked at that pale and delicate face of the girl who was laying unconsciously on a sick bed with a forlorn gaze. He held her hand carefully and caressed her face gently as if it would break anytime. It had been a few days since the night he found her at the dark alley and she had never been awaken since then.
Reminding of that night, Mu Zihan was scared stiff. It was the worst nightmare for him. During the time he drove her to a hospital, at first he did not realized she sustained any heavy injuries. He thought she was only too cold after drenching under the heavy rain and fainted after being kicked. However, when they arrived at the hospital nearby which of course had a brighter light, only then he realized his hands were full with blood stain.
He looked at the girl who laid unconsciously at a passenger sit beside him. There was no trace of blood on her face. So where did the blood came from? With a shaking hand, he inspected her body. Only then he noticed her stomach bled profusely. Sudden pain tugged his shocked heart. Only then he knew, he could not let her die. She was special to him. He could not let her go.
However, after few hours waiting outside of an operation theatre, he received more horrified news. She was in a critical condition. She was heavily injured all over her body, not only her stomach. There were three knife stabs at her abdomen, a shot at her thigh, a shot at her shoulder and a shot at her chest, near her heart. She lost too much blood and the medical team could not guarantee her chance to survive. It was already a miracle she could survive till now.
In his lifetime, that was the first time Mu Zihan felt so lost in his life. His legs lost its strength and he immediately fell on the icy floor. Not only his heart suffered a wrenching pain, he also lost the ability to breath properly.
Secretary Lu and a few of his subordinated were so shocked looking at their master that they were momentarily stunned, did not know what to do. They never saw their master behaved like that. Only after a while, Secretary Lu instructed his subordinates to call their own medical team to come there. It was known that their medical was the best among the best. Thus, maybe that girl would have a greater chance to survive and their master would not be lifeless like that.
Luckily, the God at their side. Even before their medical team arrived, the current medical team succeed with the operation.

Ai Lin felt hot all over her body. Her head was dizzy. Her throat was sore. It was really uncomfortable. She tried to move her hand only to meet an excruciating pain near her shoulder and chest. She fought the sleepiness that had been engulfed her all this while.
She slowly pried open her eyes. Her blurry sight was blocked by a tall and handsome figure. She narrowed her eyes trying to figure out the owner of that dazzling silhouette.
A handsome like model face looked at her full with worriedly. Although he looked solemn and serious, she could detect his concern from his eyes.
" You're awake? How are you feeling? I will call the doctor." Mu Zihan asked anxiously. He pressed a button near the sick bed. Because he was not assured to leave her under someone else care, he had been accompanied her for a few days straight in the hospital. He would like to be the first person she would saw when she woke up from her comatose state.
" Wa.. ter." With a weak and shaky voice, she asked for some water to quench her thirst. However, Ai Lin shocked to hear her voice. Her throat was soared thus her voice became so raspy. It was to the point she could not recognize her own voice. Because of the pain, she was unwilling to answer any of Mu Zihan's questions.
Once he heard her request, Mu Zihan quickly brought a glass of water over.
" Stay lay. I will help you. Your injuries are too severed so you are not allowed to move." While talking, Mu Zihan fed her the water spoon by spoon carefully.
But Ai Lin was unsatisfied. She was thirsty enough she could drink a whole glass in a gulp. She clutched the glass in Mu Zihan's hand and drained the water in a second. She did not care about the pain on her shoulder anymore.
" Be careful." Mu Zihan furrowed his brows looking at her conduct.
" More." Realized that she might get scolded, Ai Lin looked at Mu Zihan with pitiful eyes. But she did not forgot to ask for more water. She was really thirsty.
" Okay, but you have to drink it slowly. Don't rush or else your wound may get opened." Mu Zihan said solemnly.
Like a kid that had been scolded, Ai Lin nodded and blinked her eyes at Mu Zihan. Although she was unsure either this trick would work on the unknown man or not, but she just go for it. She had been used this trick more than hundred times toward others and magically it would work everytime.
And of course it worked! Mu Zihan could not stand look at that delicate and adorable face. He helped her with the water. This time he held the glass tighter so Ai Lin would not be able to grab it from his hand.
Right at that moment, a group of people with white uniform came in.
" Doctor Zheng, the patient has really awake." One of the nurse said fill with joyous.
Looking at Ai Lin who was still drinking, Doctor Zheng asked for a permission first. " CEO Mu, I will examine her first."
Mu Zihan nodded and gave a way for the medical team to do their job. However, Ai Lin pouted unsatisfactorily. She was still thirsty!
