It had been over 2 weeks she was hospitalized. Her recovery speed was good so her external injuries had almost recovered. During that time, she was bored to death. Fortunately there was someone who was willing to accompany her here. Although most of the time she was fuming with rage but she was grateful. At least she did not have to face the boredom of living in the hospital alone.
She requested to be discharged because she already felt much better compared to the first time she woke up from her 4 days comatose state. However, the doctor did not give her the permission. The stabs at her abdomen were too deep and one of the stabs tore her intestine. The doctor said although her external injuries had recovered well, but her internal injury was not.
She was distressed and anxious. She had left and did not leave any messages. Would anybody worried about her? Or was there anyone who would look for her? Would he?
Ai Lin immediately snapped out to reality. She let out a dry chuckle. It was not possible. He should have a happy time with his fiancée now. He wouldn't have time to think about her. He might not even know her disappearance. She let out a deep and rough breath.
Compared to her feelings, there was something much more important than that. Her jobs! Thinking about this, she could feel a heart wrenching pain. She received many jobs before she was attacked and most of them almost due. There was even some that had past the due. Arghhhhh!! Suddenly she was feeling like crying. My money ah….
" What are you doing? Why you look so distress?" Mu Zihan who just entered the room was shocked to see the woman who was sitting on the sofa. Her hair was a total mess and her face was in agony.
Ai Lin raised her head stared at Mu Zihan who walked towards her. There was a food container in his hand. She knew it was for her because he brought it everyday for her. If he was lazy to go home, he would ask his subordites to brought it.
" Mu Zihan…" With glossy eyes and pleading voice, AI Lin called out for him. If outsiders to see this scene, they might say she was a spoil child who had been pampered since young.
" Hmm. What is it?" With a concern eyes, he embraced her petite body to his bosom. Without retaliating, Ai Lin adjusted her position and made herself comfortable.
After Mu Zihan claimed to be her fiancé and asked her to marry him previously, he was beaten to death by her. She forgot all her wounds on her body and went ballistic. Only after feeling pain she stopped throwing things at him. But it was too late, her wounds were tore opened.
Since then, Mu Zihan took a good care of her. Accompanied her for almost 24/7. He dressed her wounds, fed her food and meds, and even cleaned her body. Of course she strongly rejected it at first. Who would want a stranger to see her naked body and look at her doing her 'business'? Even crazy people would be embarrassed.
But who was Mu Zihan? He had skin thicker than wall. He ignored all her rejections and performed his tasked adamantly. What was more surprising, he even took a lesson from experienced nurses on how to take care of a patient.
Looking at his seriousness and sincerity, Ai Lin gave up. She let him did everything for her. Although sometimes his conduct was clumsy but Ai Lin still appreciated his efforts. Subconsciously, she became dependent on him.
However, it did not mean the atmosphere around them were always peaceful. His shamelessness drove her nuts. He would never stop mentioning marriage in every opportunity he had. On top of that, he kept taking chances on eating her tofu ah. When he helped her bath, his hands would go here and there without restrain. When she was not paid attention, he would kiss her blatantly. He even robbed her first kiss!
Thus, she became immune to his touch. What else could she do? Moreover, she did not hate it nor despise it. At times when he was busy and had to left her alone for a few hours, she would be looking forward to his warm embrace when they met. Sometimes she would even be the first to initiate it. Even her, herself could not believe it.
Deep down her heart, she knew why she was behaving like that. For 26 years she lived, she never experienced something like that. She was born orphan and lived at orphanage since she was a baby. She never felt a family love. There was no one to lend her shoulder to lean on, ears to listen to. She was all alone in this world.
Although she had Lu Qi Feng by her side, but it would never be the same. She had loved him for 11 years. However he never loved her like she did. To him, she was his bestest buddy. Not more, not less.
Previously, she had spent her life loving others although knowing her love would only lead her to an endless pain. She loved her unknown parents but they never appeared in front of her. She loved Lu Qi Feng but he loved some else. She had been longing for others' love for her but didn't get the chance to experience it.
Nonetheless, Mu Zihan's presence made her felt different. His care, his attention, his worry all for her. She didn't know why he's being so nice to her, but she felt good and she could feel that she had been yearning for that for a long time.
