Chapter 11 - CHAPTER 10 PROGRESS

After he leaves the military campground, he goes to the research lab.

"So, Miss Rose, the research is going great, it seems." When Shadow got inside, he saw Rose happily fiddling with things in the lab.

"Good morning, village chief. I have made a great breakthrough in researching Profession Orb. It can greatly help in researching Profession Orb in the future. Also, the Tamer Profession will be produced tomorrow."

"As expected of the genius of the village, you failed to disappoint the expectations of the village."

"By the way, village chief, what is the next research you want me to study?"

"Portals that can lead to other cities"

"But village chief, we are only a village to go to a city; ain't it a little dangerous?"

"It's okay, Miss Rose. Me, Lou Yan, and Ban are the only ones going. We can earn more money this way. After all, we only have copper coins. It is an opportunity to earn. Don't fret, we will be extra careful."

After chatting with Rose, he left and went back to the mansion. He called Shelia over.

"Shelia, how's the construction going?"

"My lord-

"You don't need to call me that; just call, dear."

Shelia was embarrassed and was cutely hit.

Shadow, when Shelia and Ban's father were still alive, betrothed Shelia to Shadow.

"Hmph, you aren't even serious about this job," Shelia pouted.

Shadow suddenly picked Shelia up, put her in his lap, and whispered in her ear.

"Of course I am, but you know that Grandpa isn't here, so we can get intimate now. Don't be shy anymore."

Shelia was red all over but still slapped Shadow's naughty hands, which were rubbing on her bossom.

"You didn't come here to flirt, didn't you?" Shelia seriously said.

"Yes and no, I came here to flirt with you and listen to your report."

"Hmph, sly tongue, you got there."

"It gets slyer; why don't we test it whether it is in your mouth or your secret garden?"

"You scoundr-" but before she finished her words, Shadow sealed her mouth with his. He explored her little mouth thoroughly. She let out a muffled sound, but accepted it. In the end, the two kept going for a while, but while they were in the heat of passion, a knock was suddenly heard.

*knock* *knock* *knock* "Shadow, it is grandpa. We need to talk about something."

Shelia jumped off Shadow's lap like a frightened rabbit. She also fixed her clothes, glared at Shadow, threw her record book in his face, and grumpily opened the door.

"Come in, Mr. Rey; we were just discussing the village situation."

Shadow's grandpa just let out a chuckle and said, "Don't be too formal; after all, technically, you're my granddaughter-in-law."

Shelia became even redder. She stammered, "The two of you might have important things to talk about. I'll be leaving."

"Wait! We were going to pick new dresses-" Before he finishes his sentence, Shelia has already left. It seems she was too embarrassed to face his grandpa.

"That little lass," Rey just chuckled and just shook his head. "Shadow.

"Grandpa, I already know why you came here; it is about the goblins, isn't it?"

His grandpa nodded. "You know that the goblin race is a savage race; it is hard to keep them in control after all; their intelligence isn't comparable to humans."

"That's where your wrong grandpa is; they are a savage race, so it is easy to control them by using brute strength, and if you give them something to make them feel grateful to you, it is easy to win their loyalty."

His grandpa seems to understand but still cautions Shadow to be prudent. Shadow nodded and told him he understood. His grandpa gave a sigh of relief and left, saying he was still deepening his relationship with Trevo.

After chatting with his grandpa, Shadow searched for Shelia and pulled her to go shopping. They arrived at the tailor shop, and Shadow told her that she could pick anything she liked while he went to Bruce's workshop.

"So, Mr. Bruce, how are your products coming on?"

For the Smithy to level up, it needs three apprentices or another blacksmith. It also needs to create one hundred Grade 0 weapons, so Shadow tasks him to build thirty bows and one hundred swords.

"The work is coming along very well, especially now that Rio has started working here."

The Rio he is talking about is a goblin. Shadow saw that it was curious about building weapons, so he gave it to Bruce, thinking of deepening the relationship between goblins and humans. He never thought that it had a knack for creating things. It was also very industrious, so all the workers in the Smithy amiably accepted it.

"Oh, so how many weapons did you already create?"

"We've created thirty bows and eighty swords; we only left twenty swords to create."

Shadow was shocked at how fast they finished their work. Shadow smiled at him and told him, "All the workers in the Smithy will be rewarded handsomely, especially you, Mr. Bruce."

"No, no, no, you don't have to."

Shadow shakes his head and tells him, "Don't be modest; you deserve it. As long as any of you have a great contribution to the village, you will be rewarded, so expect the rewards tomorrow."

They thanked Shadow for being generous. Before Shadow left, he also talked to Rio.

"Rio, you should learn to speak. You should tell Old Darwin to teach all the goblins to speak."

After that, he also bought dresses for Mei-mei.

He left with Shelia. He lewdly told her to sleep with him, but she refused and told Shadow her mother might be worried if she didn't return home. She said she needed to get personal first.

Shadow also escorted her home, then went to Lou Yan's house and delivered the clothes for Mei Yan. After an eventful day, he returned home.

*Swish* *Swish* *Swish* flashes of swords were seen.

Shadow was practicing his sword skill as usual, but he omitted himself to always train his sword skill each and every day.

He exhaled a mouthful of air after practicing. He took a bath and laid on his bed. He saw Glutton in the corner, sleeping. He smiled, knowing the hard work it does every day.
