"It" was never real

I found myself in a perplexing moment I was in a forest, with no memory of how I got here and why. I looked around to see a blue night sky and a dark and gloomy forest. its twigs clawing at my head every time I take a step. I had a strange sense of deja-vu almost as if I've been there and done that. I was really confused until I heard the crunching of some leaves that sent shivers down my spine. I was blissfully unaware of what was behind me. I took a deep breath and looked to find a man wearing a suit, with an featureless face and long pale white bony fingers. his face staring into my soul. it was as if he was a statue. my blood went cold, and that was when a bright flash of lights came towards me. I blacked out. I woke up to what seemed like an ambulance. how could I have ended here? i kept telling myself that, that figure was a hallucination. but deep down I knew i found something I never wanted to see again
