Chapter 1 - Password

A Twi'lek woman takes a seat next to her astromech. Looking curiously at the hooded figure before her.

"Where should we start?" She asks.

"The beginning is probably the best, unless you enjoy convoluted flash backs." The figure replies.

"At your leasiure, Master Jedi."

"Not quite." The figure chuckles.

"The rustling of leaves, and cracking of branches overhead. A gental, warm breeze. The smell of perfume. This is my first experience here." His voice creaks like the very oak tree he had awoken under.

"I felt no panic. I had reason to panic. I felt safe enough. I could sense the life of all around me. The fauna ignored me. As though I had always been there. I thought to myself then, that maybe I had always been there. After all it was all I knew. "

"Too long perhaps, it took me too long to wonder who the perfume came from. I knew when I smelled it that it was indeed perfume and that it had no place being in a place devoid of sentient life. "

"You see, that's when I relized it. There two places where I sensed nothing. Directly in front of me, and directly FROM me"

"At this moment of realization I asked myself, 'Am I...' I had no idea what to ask what I was. I believe I was asking IF I was. I wonder still, sometimes. The first time I heard laughter was then It vex me. My cheeks burned slightly as my mouth widened. I was smiling."

"I felt joy. For no reason more than that there was joy before me."

The hooded figure pulls his legs up, and crosses as if he were sitting on the ground. He runs his fingers through his hair and allows his hood to fall. Keeping his eye level with the Twi'lek he smiles as sincerely as he had back then.

The Twi'lek maintains a staunch poker face.

"At this wonderfull feeling, I raised up from the spot I had sat. My legs were strong. I filled my lungs with air, and took in the beautiful world I was a part of."

"I ran against the wind so I could feel it against my hair and my face. I ran with the wind so maybe I could know the world the wind knew. That day I ran, and I didn't stop at nightfall, it was a whole new world."

"I had to have ran for days. I didn't stop until I sensed something strange. It was anger. Anger, Fear, Suffering, Greed, Lust. These things stand out against everything else. Of course, I had to find what the source of this, as of yet unknown sensation was."

"Of all things, it was an elderly woman. She was picking flowers, and had apparently gotten lost in the forest. I ran up to her. I had never encountered the intricate sensations of sentience."

"First there was fear. Of course there would be, a naked boy came sprinting up to her with grin on his face.

Then there was Confusion. A morsel of the anger that had originally brought me to her, and finally concern and frustration."

"She was of course concerned for finding a strange child in middle of the woods. She was frustrated for not having any idea how to find her way back. It was then I felt longing. it was as if her essence cried out for her home. Her being shifted slightly. Tilted towards one direction."

"She was muttering, but of course I don't know what she was saying, I had no recognition for her language. I had taken note though, during my days of running. That when life was tilted, and it found it's way to straighten back up, that joy, and calm would follow."

"I decided I would lead this woman then to where life was tilting. I bent down and plucked a single flower. A Primrose, and handed it to her, attempting to lead her."

"She was shocked when we found herself in a familiar area. The joy and calm returned to her. I followed her, as when I turned to go about my way, she gently took my wrist."

"This woman would take me in. Raise me, feed me, clothe me. She is the closest thing I have ever had to a mother. I know she would have. She never got the chance though. The joy and calm turned into Panic. We approached her village and I caught the smell of oil. I could feel the hum of electricity, but I had no idea what it meant."

The Twi'leck softly muttered two words.

"Battle Droids"
