Suddenly her stomach growled. She pouted and gestured at her stomach and smiled at the girls.
"I'm starving. Let's continue this discussion over dinner? She invited.
"Of course, that's our Andi!" Alex clapped happily at the thought of having dinner with them. It was few weeks ago since they last ate together. They were all busy over the vacation on their respective family businesses. Helping Andi around taught them first and foremost to help their family either they want it or not. But helping willingly is easier and feels much better than when you are only forced. Andi said helping in their family businesses will earn them something later. She said showing your family how strongly independent you are can earn their trust. And they might let us do what we want to pursue in the future. It is better than fighting them and hurting each other.
She was pulled from her thoughts when Max spoke, "No matter the situation, Andi's stomach comes first." She even bumped her fist into her other palm.
Jack stood up and smiled sheepishly at me. "I bet she was nervous awhile back. Some students were actually gossiping in the locker area although Andi doesn't know what that was about."
She wrapped her arm around me and fixed her shoulder bag on the other. She looked at me and winked, "But don't 'ya worry. We will find out who is Zach Thompson exactly is," she murmured enough for the girls to hear.
She nodded at her and smiled but deep inside she felt something to be nervous about. She shrugged the thought away and only think that she's finally with her girls.
"And he will be punished if he turns out to be an impostor." Dana hissed. She's the closest to me but maybe because she easily shows her support always. All of the other girls are like sister, but Dana is so dependable that she makes sure that no one harms or hurt me. She doesn't know what she would do without them. She loves her girls.
They waited for Dana as she checked if everything is turned off and locked the door.
"Yes, Andi. We're always here for you. But right now, all we need is milk tea!" exclaimed Max.
"Yes!" They all cheered.
Dana and Max rode with me while Alex and Jack followed behind. They drove to the nearby city mall where the university students usually kill time. They headed straight to their favorite restaurant, Pablo's. The ambience here is cozy. Its quiet, relaxing and the light is dim, perfect for their taste.
When they entered the restaurant, all eyes were on them. Each of them has unique charms that captivates anyone's attention. Luckily, their favorite spot is free. First, they ordered their favorite milk tea followed by their choice of menu.
After a couple of minutes, their drinks arrived. They all enjoyed their milk tea first.
"I so love this thing!" Max beamed joyfully.
"Well, this is the only thing that can get your attention from gaming, "Alex teased. They all laughed at her.
"Well, its heavenly. You can't blame her, really." Dana muttered. They chuckled but turned their heads to Jack when she spoke countering Dana, "No, Dana, no. This will only feel heavenly when you're sharing it with someone." She said dreamily and winked at us.
She winced at what she said. Never will she share one of her favorite things to any guy. She broke her daydreaming and said, "Absolutely not! Sharing it with a guy will only ruin the experience." She mumbled disapprovingly.
"Such a kill joy. You will understand Andi once you meet the one." Jack responded seriously, while continuously sipping her drink.
"Omg, stop it Jack. You already met 'the one' multiple times." Alex teased her back.
"Yeah. Alex is right. So, who is this 'the one' among your boyfriends?" Max said, teasing Jack.
She looked at us before stammering, "Well..uh..I don't know, yet." All of them laughed at her.
"See, you can't even find 'the one' after so many dates, " Dan said taunting.
"Okay, okay, Fine. But let me tell you. It's more fun when you have someone to share things with,"
Jack said meaningfully. "Even if you break up later," she added.
She looked at Jack and with a serious tone, "Are you going through something, Jack?"
"Yeah, we're only messing with you. We missed you, you know. Before school ended, you ditched us most of the time because of your dates," Dan said with concern.
"So, you see. Dan actually have hard feelings towards you all this time," Alex said laughing.
They all burst laughing again. If the atmosphere is dull, you can trust Alex to make it light.
Dana is a jolly person. We all know she's joking all this time but Jack was so serious so thanks to Alex.
Their food arrived and silence covered the group for a while. She was the first one to finish her meal.
Without waiting for them to finish she tried asking, "So, what's our plan?" And all the girls looked at her.
They all eat so slowly, she thought. It was Max who spoke first, "Hmm. We'll post an announcement tomorrow saying that the gossip is false." She then continued eating.
"Well, that's a good first step, Max. Kindly also post an official statement in the Student Council Page so everyone who installed the App can read it. But I think don't show it that I'm using it personally. Just make it general. Thanks." Max gave me a thumbs up.
Jack cleared her throat first before speaking, "I will choose someone trustworthy from our club members to task in observing the people around them for any suspicious acts."
She nodded towards her. "Yes. We can't act rashly as we don't know what Trixie is up to."
"I will also investigate from the guys if they know anything about this Zach guy," muttered Dana who is the quietest in the group but a playgirl like Jack.
By now, everybody has finished eating. They all looked at Alex, waiting for her reply.
"What? Uh-okay… I will. I will…." She stammered, thinking. And suddenly, exclaimed, "I will plant someone in Trixie's squad! So, we will know their every move. Yes, that's it!" Alex shouted in excitement.
They all laughed at her mischievousness.
"Keep it down, Alex. It won't be a nice plan if everyone will know about it." She warned in jest while looking around.
She also looked around and nervously asked, "Does it mean, my plan is busted?"
They chuckled at her worried expression.
"Nah, I don't think someone is paying attention to us," said Dana.
They enjoyed their desert and talked about how their first day went.
