23 years later.
A middle-aged man sits sweetly on his throne. The man was enjoying a breakfast made by his housekeeper. The man, who is over 50, was reading the paper after finishing his breakfast.
The wife sits gracefully next to him, old age does not fade the charm of the couple. His jawline is firm and also full of authority. Elegance that never fades even as time goes on.
"Congratulations on your graduation, Lan," said the middle-aged man without looking at another man in his 20s.
"Thank you, Pa," replied the young man as he finished his breakfast.
"What about you, Kle?" asked the middle-aged woman sitting in front of her.
"It went well," replied the young woman indifferently.
"After undergraduate graduation, Papa will send you to America. You need to learn about our business there." The middle-aged man put the newspaper he read on the table. He looked at his eldest son with a stern stare without being challenged.
"Kalan understands." The young man named Kalan nodded in his father's words.
"Vi, Kalan just finished his bachelor's. Let him have fun first," Briena rebuked Vian's sometimes exaggerated assertiveness.
"He needs to learn early, Bi. Besides, his intelligence is declining from me, I'm sure he can get wet easily and quickly," Vian said.
"Ck, you always do everything you want. I know you're a perfectionist, so am I. But we must not force our children to do the same..."
"I agree with papa." Kalan cut off the mother's words. "It's better to use my time for business than to have fun isn't obvious." The man glanced at his twin sister sarcastically.
"Yak! You're insinuating me!" exclaimed Klea in response to a cynical glance from her twin brother.
"Why? I'm telling you the truth. You can only have fun," Kalan smiled mockingly.
"What did you say! Our GPA is only 0.1 points different! So it's not big head!" exclaimed An increasingly annoyed Klea. "Just look! I'll definitely be more successful than you!" Klea stares at kalan's fiery flame.
Kalan doesn't ignore his twin brother's words, the man finishes his breakfast. "Pa, Ma, I went to college first. There are some documents that I have to finish," he told the parents.
"Yak! I'm not done ranting!" exclaimed Klea. "Ma, Pa, I'm leaving too! Bye!" Klea kisses her mother and father and then rushes off after Kalan.
"Heh." Briena sighs tired, she glances at Vian who smiles at her son fighting. "You can still smile after making a mistake in the morning," he says sarcastically.
Vian smiled at his wife. "I'd rather make a fuss on the bed, Bi," he said later.
Briena rolls her eyes lazily at hearing an unqualified raving from her husband.
"I just think they're our children. Kalan is crazy at work, perfectionist and assertive just like me whereas Klea does not want to lose, ambitious and also graceful just like you," said Vian dreamy.
"Cih, I admit your sperm produces perfect seedlings like them." Briena squeaks at Vian's words.
"By the way, is it necessary to find a match for them?" asked Vian staring at Briena with raised eyebrows.
Briena put her hands in front of her chest. "I firmly reject it," he replied in a serious tone.
"Why? Didn't we make it?" Vian smiled grinning.
"The disease of the conglomerate family like matchmaking will be eliminated in our family. There won't be such a classic matchup, Vi. Maybe we did make it, like a play or a novel. Hate being love, it's taboo for both of us. fall in love. But not necessarily the same thing will happen to our children," Briena said at length.
"All right, I agree." Vian nodded approvingly. "But... You know her girl's one of my business partners, right, Bi. They have a beautiful, smart kid,..."
"No, I don't want to hear it any further!" exclaims Briena immediately going into the kitchen ignoring Vian's rant about her business partner's son.
"Hahahaha." Vian chuckles at the sight of Briena watching him. His routine of flirting with his wife apparently continued until almost 33 years of their marriage.
Well, that's the story of Briena and Vian's marriage in the end. They became a happy couple with twins Kalan and Klea.
And the end of this story, will be the beginning of the story of the twins. A much more complicated story than just a matchmaking. It could have involved contracts and lives.
