"Oh shit! Oh shit!! Oh shit!!!..."
Rastel was looking around the entire town like he could not get enough of it.
The large classic building with tall chimneys, the shiny glittering lampposts that lined every street, the beautiful organized paved roads, the elegant metal carriages that trudged across them with some not even needing mounts!
The huge building at the far end of the town looked like a magnificent beast with the tall town walls as a backdrop and the setting sun reflecting its light beautifully on the glittering drops of water from the previous storm.
Rastel was sure that the building that looked like a cross between a hall and a castle was the town lord's residence.
Taking a huge breath, there were only two words that could describe Rastel's current emotions.
Deeply satisfied!
What is fantasy?
This is fantasy!
Even the sheer amount of people he could see around filled him with excitement.
There were all sorts of races around that he couldn't get the images out of his head. The only thing that he found weird was that there was a surprisingly low amount of NPC dwarfs around.
In fact, he only saw one!
He could easily guess that the player dwarfs were drawn here because of the presence of grandmaster Vulcan. He could see some of them looking at him with envy as they could tell that he was a player.
Having a relationship with a dwarven grandmaster was these players' lifelong goal. In fact, that was their only reason for staying in Eadon or they might have just taken the long journey to migrate to the dwarven kingdom of Avalan.
But in the kingdom, there was only one grandmaster and he was not somebody they could meet on a whim.
Rastel didn't care though as he looked at all the buildings around that he could easily tell have been touched by dwarven hands.
The masonry was perfect and there was the occasional touch of metal here and there which dwarves were obsessive about.
The occasional pipes trailing around also gave the town a subtle steampunk vibe.
'Roxy would definitely be in love with this town now. I wouldn't be surprised if she decides to stay for a while. I wonder where their library is though, I should check it out later.'
As Rastel was lost in his thoughts, Vars lifted his heavy bow and lightly tapped his head with it to get his attention.
"Wai- what? What is it?"
He came back with a startle.
"It is getting late so let's hurry up. I don't want to be caught in the blood moon again."
Vars said with a poker face as he walked off alone.
He was secretly happy though that Rastel didn't take notice of the townspeople's whispers.
Rastel was still absentmindedly looking around when Myra pulled his hand.
"Let's go Hero, Vars is leaving already."
Moving quickly, they caught up to Vars's figure who easily led them through the ever busy town's gate without much questioning from the guards.
Although Rastel was still distracted with looking around, he could still easily notice, the townspeople acted really weird when they were around Vars.
After they walked away from the bustling line of the gate, they took a path that deviated from the main one which led down to the vast farm fields outside the town.
This path led them to the left of Eadon, the direction which they had come out from when they first came to Eadon with the settlers.
Rastel heard from Myra that the settlers were taken in by the town's officials to where they would be settled down during the months of the blood moon.
Although he didn't get to wish them goodbye, Rastel didn't mind much as he wasn't really close to anyone there.
But he made up his mind that if he had spare time later on, he would find them to at least greet the old man and the little girl, Lana.
As they walked through the forest quietly, they went by a lot of players who were either going out for a hunt or coming back from one.
Rastel and Myra's cloaks dragged attention but no one seemed to find trouble with them. Apparently, Vars's identity made him delicate in Eadon.
No one would want to offend a grandmaster.
From time to time, he would notice Vars would touch a few trees or observe the ground and occasionally seemed to activate a few skills.
Rastel wondered if that was how ranger classes tracked too as he silently followed behind.
Myra on the other hand was unconcerned and was constantly getting her attention taken by the myriad of insects that were constantly buzzing about.
The forest was lively after the storm and Myra also seemed to have been in a good mood for a while now.
But occasionally, they would hear the low roars and growls of various beasts mixed with the yells of people followed by loud explosions or the clashing of blades.
In such low leveled hunting grounds, easy prey wasn't everywhere and fights constantly occurred over kill-stealing and such.
Although nobody killed as that was seen as an extreme act, the battles were vicious and it usually left both sides in terrible states.
But some players still enjoyed it and only came around to partake in kill stealing and the battles that happened after.
The group had already gone a bit far when they suddenly started hearing sounds of battle happening in front of them.
Choosing to avoid it, Vars started taking a diagonal route when they noticed that the battle was moving in their direction and fast!
BWAANNNN!!!!
A large beast that resembled a cow but with no horns and instead had two tusks growing out of its mouth appeared out of the forest, taking down trees as it went.
It would be more accurate to say it resembled a boar more but it had longer legs and a huge body.
Its fur was thin and was a dull greenish-blue and it had a sharp beak for a mouth.
The Cariyl.
Although it had large cute eyes and looked like a harmless herbivore, the cariyl was a ruthless carnivore that fed on anything that had a layer of flesh around it.
It was feared by most people as its brutal strength, high defense and two tusks that could pierce through anything made it hard to fight against.
But at this moment, the cariyl was been hunted, and it was running away!
BWAANNN!!!!!
It bayed loudly just as an agile figure burst through the trees. Light glinted off the sword in the figure's hand as with a sharp downwards drill, the sword pierced straight at the cariyl's neck!
BWAAAAN!!!!!!
This time, the beast roared in pain, it turned its head around and tried to spear through the figure with its tusks but it was deflected by an invisible shield.
BANG!
The cariyl turned forwards and kept running without hesitation after its attack was blocked.
It was an intelligent beast and didn't stay to continue fighting.
The beast was running straight for Rastel's group and they found themselves in an awkward situation.
"Quickly get out of the way! Don't try to interfere in this too if you value yourselves!"
A voice called out ruthlessly.
Rastel saw it was the figure with the sword that attacked the beast previously.
A young man that looked almost thirty, there was a decent beard on his face and he was wearing a mix of iron and leather armor.
His sword was a standard long sword which he held expertly with his right hand as he gave them a threatening gaze.
Also not willing to interfere, Rastel gestured at Vars so that they should quickly get away.
Vars's bad temper had risen and he wasn't in a good mood anyway after his father's yelling. Rastel had to tug his sleeves to pull him out of the way.
Just behind the beast, two female mages appeared wearing a red and black robe each while casting spells.
One fired a large fireball and the other fired a wind spell that blew like a gale.
Watching their casting, Rastel's eyes couldn't help but open wide.
'Complementary casting?'
The wind spell launched the fireball spell further at a much greater speed as it landed accurately in front of the cariyl startling it greatly.
Confused, the beast turned in another direction and started running away from the perceived danger.
Right towards Rastel's group again!
"Keep your stupid beast away from us!"
Vars yelled at them this time as they were forced to dodge away again.
Rastel picked Myra up princess style which delighted her and quickly dodged the rampaging beast.
The previous swordsman had already appeared in front of the beast with a movement skill and activating another skill, his sword glowed with a bit of light as he dug his feet into the ground.
As the cariyl neared him, it swung its tusk viciously to spear him out of the way.
The swordsman met the cariyl's tusk unafraid as he swung his own sword fiercely downwards.
"Power slash!"
He yelled loudly.
Rastel could feel his face burning as he nearly facepalmed.
This chunni guy.
Why yell it out loud like that?
Although the swordsman was embarrassing, the move was very effective. So effective that Rastel's eyes widened again.
BANG!
The huge frame of the cariyl was forcefully pushed back!
'Well damn!'
Rastel exclaimed in his mind.
Although the beast was pushed back, the swordsman didn't look well off either and was panting greatly from the effort he had exerted.
All of a sudden, the atmosphere around changed as it significantly became colder.
The ground surrounding the cariyl was gradually covered by ice and a strong frosty wind blew by.
The three of them turned their heads at the same time to see a young boy with short blonde hair walking calmly towards the beast.
He was wearing an ice blue robe that had a tall collar and an unidentifiable beast the size of a pigeon seemingly made of ice was flapping busily around his head.
'An elementalist?'
Rastel easily recognized the class.
Elementalist was a rare mage class as only a few organizations in the game could give out the class.
And to get the class, you had to first be acknowledged to have the talent to be an elementalist before going through a series of very hard quests before you can get it.
And as the only class that gave out AOE attacks at this early stage of the game, it was a class that brought about much love and envy from all magical class players.
The area around the cariyl was frozen solid and its feet were trapped a few feet into the ice.
The beast bayed out loud in panic but before it could break out, four earthen walls simultaneously tore out of the ground enclosing the beast within.
Rastel watched on with entertainment as he saw the two female mages sliding across the ice gracefully.
As they reached near the confined beast, the black robed girl cast a spell and a gust of wind threw them high into the air.
Quickly activating their spells, they both launched out attacks consecutively.
A sharp burst of fire shot out in a long pillar, a mini wind tornado around it increased its size and speed tremendously as it smashed into the cariyl in the middle.
BWAAAAAAAAN!!!!!!
A terrifying scream echoed out from within.
Rastel had promptly closed Myra's ears to prevent her from hearing the soul piercing scream.
The beast was dead for sure.
The two ladies landed safely on the floor smiling happily to themselves but at this moment, a figure came through the trees.
"Not good! I couldn't hold them back much. Those bastards are coming here quickly to steal our loot!"
It was another member of their team, a wood elf with long brown hair who was wielding a very elegant crossbow.
The face of the entire team changed drastically when they heard his words.
As if he just realized their presence, the blonde haired elementalist suddenly turned to face Rastel and his team.
Vars's face turned into a visible frown when he saw this.
"You bastards are with them aren't you! You think you can sneak up on us and steal our loot!"
The elementalist yelled angrily.
'The fuck?'
Rastel was lost on how the matter got to this point.
Before he could refute anything, he went on alert as he suddenly felt the area around them getting colder.
"Let's end these guys first before they get over, the lesser enemies we have the better."
The elementalist already decided and commanded the rest.
The rest of his team members looked at them with hostile gazes.
"Wait, what the fuck are you even saying?"
Rastel had to shout out this time.
PRIEEEK!!!!
Before he could argue their case, the bird like ice creature around the elementalist's head suddenly let out a loud shriek and charged towards them!
