Brunch was done and over with, now both Shirley and Sam were sitting on the bed facing each other. The atmosphere was ambiguous. Not much tension lingered in the air instead, it was filled with gloom and a bit of awkwardness.
In the end, Sam sighed and opened her mouth to start with her explanation.
'How much do you remember of last night? All or some parts or?' she trailed off trying to get an opening.
'Well, I remember everything but it is not everything right. There is more to this.' Shirley hesitated but in the end, said what was going through her mind.
'You are right. It has more, lots more. What I told you, was only the tip of the iceberg. I will begin with that night. I was devastated, to say the least. When I finished reading that letter I do not know what to believe in anymore.
