When Shirley and Sam went back it was already past five. They did not talk much on the way back to their hotel. Both of them were lost in their thoughts. Shirley was thinking about what granny Eva said, to keep a distance from the unpleasant past?
Her past was not complicated.
As far as she could recall there were only two major happenings that upset her. One was when in a car accident she lost her family and the other one where she was cheated on by her boyfriend.
The accident was not a recent event it has been years so she did not think that Eva meant anything by that. But the thing with her boyfriend, it has only been a week. So maybe she was hinting about that. The possibility of getting harmed by Aaron, she cannot rule that out.
