PRACTICE

Gavin

Today is the last day of practice for the game that will happen on the Foundation Week that's why the practice is tough from morning until afternoon. Every vacant the three ladies are watching our game and bringing us a bottle of water and snacks. I'm not use to my cousin Kris new habit that he always brings his phone wherever he goes and keep on texting Lou every break time. It happens since he gave a new cellphone to Lou. Until now, I can't forget Lou's reaction when he receives the gift from the siblings. She wants to pay the gift that she receives from the two yet the siblings refuse too.

He keeps on looking at his phone checking if have a text message to him and my sister narrate what happen when they interview Lou about their relationship status. I can't understand him why can't he confess his feelings at her, in the second thought maybe he can feel that Lou is not ready for a relationship because she's focusing on her career that's why he didn't court her. Nobody knows what their real score even his own best friend. They are so sweet and Lou always bring an energy drinks, mineral water, and snacks for us. Any one of us doesn't have the guts to confront them and joke at them because Lou is so shy and we don't want to risk their relationship.

As the day past by Lou and I, were getting closer as best friend yet I know that my cousin is jealous and he keeps on thinking that I will stole Lou from him. "Hi, guys! Here's your snacks for later, I just pass by here before I went to the library" Lou said with a smile and give us the paper bag. "Thank you, Lou. You are thoughtful my future-cousin-in-law" I said with a grin that's why Kris hit me on my nape while looking at me coldly.

"Oh, sorry I'm just mistaken. Peace, guys" I said and give them a peace sign. "By the way Gav, here are the notes that you miss and at the back of the notebook I wrote the home works that you need to accomplish in Biology" she said and give me a plastic envelope. "Thanks" I said and accept the envelope that's why I receive the cold stares from my cousin. "Here's your towel guys and it contains baby powder so your sweat won't be dry on your shirt. I need to go guys, see you later! Bye" she said and smile at us while giving the paper bag to Kris before she went away.

After that we divided the snacks she gave to us. I feel some cold stares that somehow I can feel some cold breeze around me from my cousin that's why I look back at him. "You don't have to be jealous coz we are just best friend besides I won't break our rules" I said while raising my both arms. "Tss, who says I'm jealous?" he answered coldly. "Don't be in denial cousin or else somebody would court her first" I said while grinning at him. He looks on the paper bag which the towels and baby powder where located. We saw that the towels are personalize and it has the name of recipient at below matching at the baby powder fragrance.

Maybe she gave us an assorted color of towels and baby powder so we can easily identify if our towel was switch with someone. Lou's future husband is lucky because she's nice, sweet, and most of all a good cook. Every vacant of the students they come here to watch our practice game and scream to cheer their supported player. We take a break earlier for lunch so we fetch the ladies before going to the cafeteria. "What's the kind of booth does your course will offer? To the future fashion designer like me has a boutique booth wherein we will sell our designed clothes" Miks said proudly. "We will auction our sketches of structural designs with frame for the architecture students in partnership with the civil engineering students" Jenny said a smile and I just nod as a civil engineering students. I just know from now what is the booth that we will do because were busy on the practice. "Mini restaurant serving Filipino dishes, pastries and desserts for Business Management students" Lou said with a smile.

"Mini restaurant with an interior design like the interior inside the plane for aeronautical engineering and architecture" Kris said emotionlessly while Gio just nod and smile at me. "Jail booth for the nursing students in partnership with criminology students" Kev said. "Marriage booth for the accounting students" Arch said with a grin.

"Is there a rule on the marriage booth?" Kev asks with a smile. "Yes, there is. It's only one time a student will be married and they can't disagree once they will be chosen" Arch said and went inside the cafeteria. "How about for jail booth?" Lou asks. "Yes, there is like you can't get out of the room unless your time is done or there is someone who pays for you to come out" Arch answered with a smile.

"You mean the detainee can't pay for herself and it should be other people who will pay for the detainee? Is it burning hot inside the room?" Jenny asks full of curiosity. "Yes, we only accept payment from acquaintances or friends of the detainee and the temperature of the room is defending on the mood of the operator that time" he answered again. "How about the clubs of the university? What does they offer?" Miks asks. "Photo booth for the photography club. Ten pictures for five hundred pesos. Theater club they will present a play on theater room the ticket worth five hundred pesos. Sports club will be the one to assist the games at sports contest. Literature club will have an auction of books. The other clubs are keeping a secret what kind of booth they will offer" Lou answered.

The time pass by quickly, it's time to go home that's why we are here at the gymnasium to fetch the ladies wherein they starting to build their booth. We saw how busy they are and how the students are excited for the foundation week. They are waiting this because it's a great opportunity so we can have one week break from studies. The money that will be come together will be donated at the foundation and charities.

The exhaustion will be worth it and we know every centavo that we will be spent will help a lot of children. It's the tradition of our university that on the last day of the foundation week the children will be here on the school. It's actually a heart-warming when you saw the children's smile and how they laugh. It feels good to help that's why we don't have a hesitation that the university owner celebrates it that way. Every year the owner donates five million on the charities and foundation.
