CHAPTER 17
CONCERN
Louise
I woke up late at night that's why I felt hungry while I still have a high fever. I looked around to my bedroom and I saw nay sleeping on the couch to lookout for me. I notice that I'm wearing a sleep wear so maybe she changes my clothes. Nay, open her eyes and looks at my direction then she saw that I'm awake. She come near me and touch my forehead to know if my fever come down.
"You're still have a high fever. Wait me here, I just go downstairs to reheat the soup so you can eat and drink meds in able for you to be feeling well immediately" she said with a smile. I smiled bitterly when nay comes out coz I never experience that my real parents taken care of me. Even though I'm sick they never worry nor ask me if I'm fine. The concern, love, and care that I'm longing for them is got from other people.
After a while she came back carrying a tray which have meds, bowl of soup, and a glass of water. "Here, you should eat this while it is still hot so you be sweating in able for you to be heal immediately" she said and feed me. I finish eating the bowl of soup immediately because it's ten o'clock in the evening and after my lunch at two in the afternoon then I only ate now after that lunch. "Do you still want to eat? There's a lot of soup downstairs coz I know it's your favorite" she said and smile at me.
"Yes! Coz it tastes so good" I answered in a low voice. "You're boasting my confidence too much, my dear. I know that your tasteless coz you have a fever so stop your pretention" she said and pinched my nose. "Nay, I know that it tastes good because you're a good cook" I said with a smile. After I ate and drank medicine, nay went downstairs to wash the dishes.
"You should rest dear for you to heal fast. You know that we treated you like a real daughter. We don't have our own kid that's why we give you our full attention. That's why we are hurting seeing you getting sick so you should be taking care of your body, dear" she said in a lonely tone. "Nay, you should rest too coz I know your tired. I can take care of myself and I won't wander around. I just rest here so you shouldn't guard me here" I said and smiled at her reassuringly. Nay, went out of my room hesitantly and I want her to rest coz it's late and she needs to wake up early.
I slept almost half of the day that's why I can't sleep now. I browse on my facebook account then I saw a lot of message from my friends asking how am I. I saw how concern they are to me.
Miks: how are you, Lou?
Jenny: you should rest so you can join us immediately
Gav: yeah, you were busy these past few days then when you are not, you got sick
Kev: get well soon so you'll be with us again
Gio: you are one week busy and when we saw you, you are always busy so you just greeted us
Arch: when you came back you should be with us always to pay for you're a week of absence
Lou: thank you very much for your concern at me. Actually, I get rest a lot so don't worry about me. I will make myself to be better immediately so I can be with you again, guys.
Kev: we waited for you to know the update and know if you are alright already
Lou: I just ate earlier and drank meds before logging- in facebook yet I still have a high fever
Miks: you should rest then
Lou: I just woke up for the five hours sleep so I'm not sleepy yet
Jenny: okay but make sure before midnight you will rest
Gav: goodnight, Lou. We'll going to sleep now
I smile with their message and for reminding me that I should rest a lot. I'm going to logged out my account when someone sent a message to me.
Kris: how are you, Lou? Did you eat and drank your meds, already?
Lou: yes, just earlier. Thanks for your concern
Kris: is your fever still high?
Lou: yes
Kris: you should rest now
Lou: but, I'm not sleepy yet
Kris: even though you are not sleepy force yourself to sleep coz you are still sick. I will make a soup tomorrow and it will be deliver on your home together with your meds
Lou: you don't have to do that, there is nay whose taking care of me
Kris: I insist. You should rest for you to be better immediately. I'll monitor you if you are still active on your account.
I smiled after reading his last message, I took that as a warning coz I know that he's serious. I realize that I gain seven true friends. Actually, I know why I have a fever now because of a lot of tiredness that I felt last week. For me, it's actually a blessing in this guise that I got sick after I'm done with my punishment coz I know if this happen during my punishment then I will be punishing harder.
I wake up at nine in the morning and I still have a high fever. Nay, went into my room and come near me to know if my fever goes down. "Your fever is still high. Bueno, earlier the driver of the Evans came here to delivers here a box of cool fever, vicks, soup in the microwavable Tupperware, and meds. He said it was from his young master and he commanded him to deliver it here immediately" she said with a smile. "Yes, I know coz he said it last night. He informed me that his driver will deliver it here this morning. Actually, I refused from it yet he insisted so I just said okay I will accept it" I said weakly at her. "You are very lucky dear; coz you have a wonderful friend. They are so kind to take care of you yesterday and they send food and things you needed. They also sent flowers for you and those flowers are on the vases here in your room" she said with a genuine smile.
"Dear, I'm going to reheat the soup that they send to you. Then, here is the vicks and I used it earlier to massage your head while you are asleep so your headache will lessen. Now, I'm going to change the cool fever in your forehead" she said and put another cool fever on my forehead. After a few minutes she's back holding a bowl of soup and a glass of water. "Here, dear you should eat much and it looks like he is the one who cook this coz it doesn't look like it comes from the restaurant" she said and continue feeding me.
The soup looks like so delicious that's why I ate it all yet it is so sad that I can't taste it. I still can't taste the food because of the fever. All the food that is serving for me was tastes less that's why I hate the feeling of being sick. After eating the food, I feel sleepy so I lay down on my bed to sleep.
