There is no need for me to risk my avatar even if it is disposable, and it still costs me money to replace the avatar via the Shop System. It is also stupid to fight at a disadvantage.
One on one, I am sure that I will emerge victorious. Fighting them all at once? I cannot be too certain if I can get out unscathed. When that is the case, it is simply better to take a raincheck to increase the odd in my favor first.
That is the smart thing to do, but not always the necessary thing.
It is completely unnecessary to fight those monsters when I can trap them instead.
Furthermore, I had counted a total of twelve future Queens while I sense thirteen. That means one of them has some kind of cloaking ability. While the cloaking ability does not worry me since I can detect her without needing my eyes, the fact that she has a special ability in itself does.
If one of them has a special ability, then it is likely that all of them have some kind of special ability. It is not necessary the same ability either, and not knowing what ability they have is troubling.
I suppose it makes sense for them to have a special ability, considering that their mother, Nessa, also has a special ability. Nessa has decided to omit this fact when she had revealed to me what her children are capable of. While she has no real obligation to tell me everything, it still feels like a betrayal.
Then again, I would have done the exact same thing in her position to even the scale. It is simply better for her when me and her children are both severely weakened.
In such an event, Nessa can take credits for eliminate me and her potential usurpers.
Unfortunately for her, I am not going to play into her plan. It is the reason to why I have trapped those monsters instead of fighting and killing them. And besides, I do not remember Nessa asking me to kill her children in her own words. I was the one who suggested it and then accepting my own suggestion.
In any case, I should contact her to give her the news instead of waiting for her. Mostly because those monsters are trying to break out of the Headquarter, costing me money to repair it.
Establishment can be used in a number of ways, and as long as I have money for repairs, none of those monsters are getting out regardless of how much they attack the barrier. They are simply not powerful enough to destroy the barrier in one shot.
"It is done," I speak up the moment Nessa accepts my call via the Calling Card in her possession.
I also examine her expression in the process, finding it is pretty much the same as ever, but I know she is shaken, for she has no clue to what had happened to her children due to losing her connection with them.
She obviously had lied about those troublesome children of hers severing their connection to the Hive Mind, as they still refer to her as the Queen Mother quite respectfully.
"Intriguing," Nessa responses. "I thought it would take you more effort than that. May I see what have becomes of my children?"
I eye her sharply. "I'm afraid not, your highness, as that was not part of our arrangement, and you will have to trust my words on it, as I have always placed trust in yours."
Nessa takes a moment to accept my words. "Where shall I send the ores and crystals?"
