Chapter 108 - Trapped Inside a Memory

"Uh… huh? Okay. What do you want to play, mister Zander? Oh. I'm Stellar. Like a star," Stellar agrees, at least subconsciously due to being within her subconsciousness.

The subconsciousness is another layer of her mind, and it is connected to her mindscape. Not all layers are connected to her mindscape, however, and it is a pain getting to those sealed of layers.

Good thing that I do not need to, as I have already found her consciousness.

Stellar is actually unconscious right now thanks to my machination, and therefore, everything that her consciousness hears and sees would be similar to a dream. She might not even remember any of this when she wakes up, and while I do hope that she does, it does not really matter in the long run.

"Hide and seek," I answer with a smile and reach out my hand, invitingly. "But before we do, I want to show you something. Do you want to know what it is?"

Stellar eyes my hand for a moment and accepts it with a nod. She is as curious as any child at her age, and my Charismatic aura helps a little. Maybe more than little since she is of the opposite sex.

I lead Stellar out of her subconsciousness and into the mindscape. Despite it is her mindscape, Stellar has never been in it on her own before. This is because only a handful of people can really enter their mindscape on their own willpower, shaping and organize it to their desire.

Stellar is not quite strong enough to do so, but I believe that she will be eventually. I can teach her, as it will speed up her growth. Perhaps, I will.

"Wow!" Stellar calls out at the labyrinth before her. "There are so many doors! Where do they go?"

I stop her from running off due to her excitement. If she somehow gets herself lost in her mindscape, it will be similar to her being in a coma. And that is not a good thing. Well, not a good thing for her.

"The doors lead to a lot of special places, Stellar. But listen, you can get lost very easily in here, and if you do, no one will be able to find you," I warn her. "You don't want that, do you?"

Stellar shakes her head cutely. "No."

"Then you must stay close to me. And you must also listen to everything that I tell you," I advise.

And Stellar nods in understanding. Her grip tightens around my hand. "I will."

"Good girl," I compliment, and Stellar likes being complimented. Her adult self is the same, but sadly, that Stellar is much harder to satisfy, at least from my experience. "Okay, let's go."

I take Stellar through the labyrinth in search for a specific door. There is a reason for their appearances and colors as well as what in front of them or on them.

And once I have found a door close to my specification, I speak up once more. "Stellar. Why don't you try to open this door?"

I wait for Stellar to open the door, and while I can open it myself, it is better if she does it. And Stellar eventually does, finding beyond the doorway is a kitchen. Within a family house due to the warmness.

Stellar steps into the kitchen while blinking repeatedly at the familiarity. I remain outside the doorway, watching the event unfold within. And once her parents appear, I close the door gently and mark it.

She will be trapped within that blissful memory until she snaps out of it. Or until I snap her out of it.
