The question remains unanswered while the Major consumes the Healing Potion and has a remarkable recovery. Her broken leg heals in no time along with whatever wounds that are still visible on her body due to the fighting back in the museum.
Healing or Health Potion works immediately just like in a video game. Of course, it must be consumed in order for the effect to take place. And once the world finally figures out how to brew solutions with healing effects upon consumption, the medical sector will revolutionize overnight.
It is not the only industry on Earth that completely changes due to the introduction of magic and more.
"As long as you do not try something like that again, you will find that I can be a valuable ally," I speak up shortly after the Major makes a full recovery. "For a price, of course, and it is a reasonable price if you have not noticed. As for my identity, you will learn of it in time. There is no need to hurry. We are probably stuck in the Cube for a while after all."
The Major does not make her decision until her men finally break through the cover and find me sitting there next to the hole, and I hope she has made the right decision. It would just make things so much easier for me.
"Hands up! Put your fucking hands up! Now! Where is she? Where's the Major!?" the soldiers demand and search for the Major, and once she is found in the hole, they immediately help her out.
"Since you are this relaxed, shall I assume that you have a way of escaping?" the Major questions after examining my little construction project. I have displaced a lot of solid concrete and earth in an instant, and that kind of power would give anyone concern.
"Let's just say there is reason that I have survived in my business for so long," I response with a devious smile. "Now, what have you decided, Major? Shall we try to kill each other now? But you should know it is a lose-lose situation."
The Major exhales deeply. "Yes. I am aware of it. Fine. I will not try to unmask you again, but you must tell me. How did you make this? It is far too dangerous to be monopolized by a single person."
She is referring to the Healing Potion from the empty vial in her hand, and she is certainly right about it being too dangerous to be monopolized by a single person. But I will monopolize it, nonetheless.
"No can do, Major. It is a trade secret," I refuse. "But I will not charge absurdity for it, as profits do not mean everything to me. Let's just say that it's an exclusive deal between me and you because we have known each other for a very long time."
"We do?" the Major responses and tires to remember if she has heard my voice before. She obviously hast not, at least not in this timeline. "I do not think so –
"Yes, we do, even if you do not know it, Lynda," I assert and look up at the sky. "You will one day. You definitely will one day, and things will never be the same again."
The Major also looks upwards, seeming understanding what I am hinting at. It is getting late, and there are a host of new dangers in the dark. Due to the little stunt that she had done, it is impossible to get to the military base before nightfall.
I pull myself off the ground, and the soldiers raise their weapons high. "Alright. No more jokes. Please tell your men to stand down, as having me or them dead will only help the monsters."
