Of course, the Major does not accept that even with my Aura of Charisma affecting her. Honestly, she is not affected by any sort of Charms due to her upbringing. She has been trained in the art of wars all of her life, as having a hardcore General for a father does that.
Speaking of her father, he is probably worried sick about her safety even though she does not know it herself. She has always assumed that her father is disappointed in her due to her being a woman, and therefore, she will never be better than her late brother, who died in a war.
He actually is still alive, but I am not going to reveal that. In fact, I should not reveal anything since she should find out about all of that herself. The future is for her to discover, not for me to blab about it.
But I will make use of some fact, just to get her trust for now.
"That is unacceptable," the Major responses. "I cannot have someone who I do not trust working for me. Go back to the Colonel and tell him that if he wants to support me then you should –
"Please stop, C. You should not ask the Colonel of anything," I interrupt, and that shuts her up straight away. The flames return, surging around her due to her unstable state of mind, but she quickly collects herself and dissipates the fire.
The Major sighs. "You know my father…. Of course, you do. You have not answered my question. What power did you gain?"
I was pondering about that, and I wonder what power I should reveal to her. In order to elevate myself, I should reveal at least one. One that is extremely useful in aiding her killing and rescuing operation. I immediately realize which one I should demonstrate.
"Will this suffice?" I take an assault rifle out of my Inventory, surprising her a little. The next moment, the weapon vanishes in my hand, returning to my Inventory.
"You can materialize M16 out of thin air? Or maybe you can materialize any sort of guns," she asks, as her eyes glare at me.
"Not quite. I can store and retrieve almost any objects from another dimension," I correct her while I take out a few more things as demonstration. "No. I cannot put people into that dimension since that will instantly kill them."
The Inventory can store anything as long as it is a separate entity. That means, I cannot stash a building into the Inventory, as it is connected to the ground. I can, however, after I separate it from the ground itself.
As for people (or living things in general), they will instantly die when they are put into the Inventory, and that is one of the hidden abilities of the Inventory. Of course, it cannot really be used as an instant kill skill, as people can resist the attempt fairly easily. I also need to be in contact with them to do so.
"That… is of use," the Major agrees. "What kind of object can be stored and taken out? Its weight? Its size? What happen to it when inside the dimension. Does time come to a standstill in there?"
The Major assaults me with a lot of questions, all to fully understand my ability, so she can formulate her plans and course of actions correctly. Of course, I rather not have her know too much, and I cannot really make shits up as she will see through them by witnessing me in actions, which she will.
"Sorry. That is a trade secret," I refuse her questions. "And I do not think we have time for chitchat."
