"Whatever Hootie."
"HOOT HOOT"
[Your Highness, someone's coming!]
"Close the door! Quick!"
And so Hootie flew towards the door to slam the door shut. Whilst Nathalia flicked her finger and all the lights in the room shut down.
But Nathalia knew that it was still not enough to stop whoever was that someone that was coming towards Aiden's room.
She could not afford to get caught inside Aiden's room. Or else she would have to prepare an explanation and she clearly did not have one at the moment.
"What are you waiting for Hootie???! Lock the door!"
"HOOT HOOT!"
[But Your Highness? Locks are not allowed in the patient's room.]
"What?!!!!!"
Nathalia was just about to snap her finger so as she could evaporate and disappeared in thin air but then they saw the shadow of the person who was about to come walked passed Aiden's room.
"HOOT HOOT!"
[Oops! False alarm. I guess that someone was coming to visit another patient in someone else room. Not exactly our Aiden. Hehe.]
Hootie laughed nervously when she realized that she just alerted her master for no good reason.
Before Nathalia could even lash at her, Hootie already chose to save herself from receiving an earful.
"HOOT!"
[Adios!]
And with that, Hootie disappeared out of thin air as quick as a lightning. Leaving nothing but a puff of smoke in her trail.
"HOOTIEEEEE!!!!!"
Nathalia was just about to follow her pet when she suddenly heard Aiden moving on his bed.
"Awww! Man, my head! It felt like I crack it somewhere. How do I even end up here in my bed???"
Since the light was turned off, Aiden did not see Nathalia standing just next to his hospital bed right away.
"You hit your head really hard on the wall. It was actually my fault, I am sorry about that I forgot to mind the wall when I carried you to the bed."
"You forgot to mind the wall??! Can you not see them??? How could you not even mind a freaking wall if it was as big as that???"
Aiden retorted as he pointed at the walls around them so that the other party could see for herself how her alibi was too pointless.
How could she not even mind a wall????
Since it was dark inside, Aiden was not able to have a clear view of Nathalia's face so he was not able to recognize her.
He thought that she was just another fraternity member that was scheduled to accompany him for that night since that was the routine all this time.
But when he heard the other part's reply afterward that was how Aiden realized how wrong he actually was.
"It's not that I can't see the walls, I just don't mind them before because I can just simply walk through it if I wanted to. I am the Queen of Darkness after all. I can do more than that, hubby."
"Who are you???!!!"
Coincidentally, Aiden and Clark asked that out all at the same time.
Clark just came back from eating outside and the first thing he saw after entering the room and turning the lights on was a flaming hot chic standing beside Aiden's bed.
Of course, Clark would not allow for this kind of opportunity to just slipped past his grasp.
He must get to know the hot girl, by hook or by crook. Aiden should no be thinking about keeping the best stuff for himself.
"Oh, what a lovely visit. May I know who is this beautiful lady who graced us with her presence??? Aiden, I never thought you were actually acquainted with such a fine lady."
Clark said with a sultry smile as he casually walked with wide strides.
Perfectly angling his long legs and he also made an effort to make his shoulders appeared broader by straightening his back as he faced Nathalia and extended his hand to do a handshake like a gentleman.
"Nathalia. Nathalia Watsons. I am Aiden's wife."
Nathalia replied in nonchalance but in reality, her mind was already a total mess.
She was not sure what to do or what to say because she never interacted with a human before.
Well, at least not a living one. Since she used to deal with the deceased.
So instead of beating around the bush, she just decided to come clean and went straight to the point.
In any case, she could not be said to be lying. She was just stating a fact. She and Aiden completed the matrimony ceremony that night in the town graveyard.
The other party even received her gift.
"Well, yeah. She is my.. uhmm.. wife. What???! NO! You are not my wife."
Aiden was just about to answer Clark's question when Nathalia cut him off. So he thought about seconding whatever Nathalia would gonna say next.
But when he realized that what she said was 'wife' he was flabbergasted.
Apparently, Clark was just as shock as Aiden was.
"But you married me, right? So that makes me your wife."
Nathalia retorted when Aiden tried to deny her.
"Yes, but it is not like that. Everything about this was all messed up."
Aiden was not sure how exactly how he could explain himself.
One was asking how he got acquainted with someone whom he, himself, could not even dare believed to exist in the first place.
While the other one was claiming that she was his wife when they did not even get a chance to know each other's name.
"Uhmm... I think I got to go now. Maybe you two need some talking first."
Clark knew that something was off between the two so before he could even witness a real-life drama unfolds before him, he already decided to take his leave and bid them a farewell.
"No, wait. It is not what you are thinking it is. Let me explain. Don't leave me. Come back here. Hey!"
As much as Aiden hated Clark personally, he still preferred his company rather than to be left alone with the alleged Queen of Darkness.
But Clark turned a deaf ear towards his summon and did not pay him any heed at all.
So in the end, it was only him and the alleged Queen of Darkness left inside the hospital room.
