Aiden slowly turned around him and there he saw, towering amidst the maze of flowers was a gigantic, three-headed dog.
"HOLY SHEEP!"
He gasped and his heart seemed to start sinking further down to his stomach before it went pounding like crazy
Much like a mouse being chased by a cat.
Aiden took little steps backward one after another.
He tried to back away as slowly as possible so as not to get noticed.
But just as he took his backward steps, the dog also started to take its forward steps.
One step after another, the beast slowly approached him.
Its saliva dripping down from its mouth was enough to wet Aiden's whole body if ever he would get caught with it.
"GRRRRR..."
It kept on issuing a low growl as it watched Aiden.
Just that sound alone was enough to turn anyone's knees into jelly by utter fear.
So nothing much could be said to describe how scared Aiden was at that moment as he and the three-headed dog stared back at one another face to face!
Its heads, emphasized to its HEADS.... cocked to the side as it sniffed the air as though trying to figure out who was Aiden and what exactly was his business on that garden.
The gigantic dog was about five times the size of a horse when they were put together.
While its fangs were easily about the size of Aiden's head and from what he could see, they were razor sharp.
One bite and he would be a goner, for sure!
If all that was happening to him at that moment was indeed a lucid dream, then Aiden could say that his creepy fairytale officially just turned into horror now.
NO! It was no longer a dream, it was a nightmare!
"Okay... Good boy... I am just walking around. Not going to steal anything. I promise.."
He said, as gentle as his voice could be as he hesitantly stretched out his hands
Surprisingly enough, when Aiden spoke, the beast paused for a while and also stopped growling.
But when he took another step backward, the growling resumed.
But unlike its previous approach, the three-headed dog started moving to the side instead.
As though circling Aiden, so that if ever he made any attempt to run, it would be able to catch him right away.
Left with no choice, Aiden stood his ground, not daring to move even an inch.
Aiden stood there, as still as stone even though he almost felt like vomiting all the contents of his stomach already due to utter fear.
'Alright Aiden, this one was just a really, really big dog. Nothing to worry...'
He consoled himself.
But the anxious 'other half' of him told him otherwise.
'Are you fool Aiden? It is not like any other dog! IT HAS THREE FREAKING HEADS!!! For crying out loud!!! Just its paw alone can turn you into meat paste!'
'SSSHHH... SHH... SHHH!!!!'
Aiden blurted out to hush the voices inside his head for the sake of his own sanity.
Standing before the gigantic three-headed dog, Aiden lifted his chin high and took his best shot.
He had read at one book before that a dog's inclination was to chase after you if you run.
That book even said that if your dog escaped the house and ran away, you just have to call its name and run in the opposite direction.
The dog's instinct was to run after you.
Aiden obviously had no intention of trying out that theory of running and being chased by that particular dog before him.
Because the dog would most certainly reach him with just one huge leap before he could even put a safe distance between them.
One wrong move and he would be torn to shreds by those razor-sharp teeth before he even knew it.
Aiden raised his hand slowly, and the three heads of the dog followed his action.
Those three heads barked at once, and the sound that they created together was like a boom of thunder.
Especially since Aiden was just standing not too far away from them.
