"It is all thanks to you mothe---"
Alyanna said while forcing a smile but the old lady cut her off before she could even finish what she was about to say.
"---And so as ambitious as you are, you decided to upgrade yourself. All thanks to me again??? Is that it?"
Mrs. Rogers said with a fake smile then she forcefully shoved a brown envelope towards Alyanna's face.
It was the same envelope that she received from the detective that she hired to stalk the other party. Inside that said envelope were some of the stolen pictures from Alyanna's recent activities.
"What is this, mother???"
Meanwhile, Alyanna who had no idea on what was on the envelope found her own voice trembling as she asked her question because, for some reason, she could somewhat feel that something was off.
