Emerald knew that her quest is far from over and that Poseidon will do his best so that she won't be able to leave the sea again. She knew that the challenge is just there so that she will not be so mad at him because he's still giving her the hope to see her parents.
Emerald swam and swam in circles as thoughts run through her mind endlessly. Then, she bumped into Carlos again. Carlos was shocked upon seeing Emerald in spite of the fact that he badly wanted to see her again. He missed her company and he wanted to talk to her about their quest for the magic clam. Yes, he also wanted to confess his feelings to her, but first things first.
"Emerald..." Carlos called gently. He touched her arm slightly.
"Carlos, nice to see you," Emerald replied and sheepishly smiled.
"I really wanted to talk to you."
"About what?"
"The magic clam. Would you still like to look for it?"
"Yes, why do you ask?"
"Because you're my friend and I want to help you."
"Oh, thank you, Carlos!"
"Small thing."
"But it's a big thing for me, so thank you."
"Let's go find that clam first before you thank me."
And, off to another search, they went.
