Carlos and Emerald swam around and across the sea again. They looked into, under, above every coral reef, stone, and sunken items that are in the sea. They would pause whenever they see something that has the shape of a clam and look at it closely, looking at whether it has an unusual feature and might be the magic clam.
Then, night time came and both of them were exhausted from their search so they decided to stop and take a rest. Carlos picked some seaweeds and shared these with Esmeralda. They only eat the plants and they befriend the fishes, crabs, and other sea animals.
Carlos and Esmeralda ate, vowed that they will search for the magic clam again tomorrow, and rested. They set to wake up early. They continued their search for ten more days, but to no avail. The magic clam has not been found.
Esmeralda began to despair and she cried, forming pearls of various shapes, colors, and sizes. Carlos comforted her while being amazed at her tears. They were in such a cozy position and they gradually became conscious about it.
