Chapter 89 - The News Grew Wings

Eventually, the news reaches Italy. Grandma Ricca sits on her favorite couch with her feet raised and eyes closed. The noise coming from the television makes her feel at ease. Her eyes open wide when she hears Senator Graysen Andrei's name mentioned in the report about Ronian.

The old woman pulls her upper body to sit properly to watch the news. A woman was surrounded by the media people. Grandma heard from her interview that Senator Graysen married his wife to get a better foothold for his political career. After that, the report shifts to the current events in Scandinavian countries.

Grandma Rica rings her little bell. The head butler quickly comes to her. "Signora?"

Grandma Ricca instructs, "Pronto, pronto. Call Antonino."

The head butler feels alarmed by the old woman's tone of voice. He looks for the nearest cordless phone.

One of Rosa's closest cugino (male cousin) saw it online. He runs to the top floor to the CEO's office and barges in.

"Where are your manners, Brio? Bypassing my secretary and coming in without knocking? I think you need to take a break for a few days."

The loud ringing interrupts Antonino's reprimanding. The button blinking on the telephone line comes from the main residence. He gets alerted and picks up the call.

As soon as he puts the receiver on his ear, he hears, "Antonino ready the plane let's visit your sister Violet."

Bewildered with his mother's sudden request, "Mamma, why do you suddenly want to visit my sister?"

The old lady retorts. "Have you seen the news?"

He cluelessly replies, "What news?"

"Uncle, that is what I hurriedly wanted to show you. I think this is the news Nonna is talking about." Brio hands his phone to his uncle.

Antonino pauses to watch. His jaw hardens.

At the other line, "Did you hear what that woman tries to imply?"

He tells Grandma Ricca, "Mamma, are you sure it's Violet you wanted to see? Or are you agitated for your beloved granddaughter?"

Antonino's question aggravates his mother more, "Stop wasting my time. I want to go now!"

To pacify his mother, "Alright, alright. Calm down. Get the people there to pack your luggage. You still have time to get some gifts to bring over to Rosa and Violet. It's going to take a few hours to process the permits."

Turning his attention to his nephew, "Since you are here, get the permits done right away."

"Uncle, can I come with you?"

He looks at Brio exasperatedly. "Go. Don't make your Nonna angry. We don't like her blood pressure to go up. Finished your assigned task as quickly as possible."

The vivacious Brio gets out of the office the same way he came in - running.
