Chapter 61 - Silent Night

"Thank you, Rosa. Senator Graysen, I have fun tonight." Hermes peeks at Rosa. "I hope to dine with you again."

Graysen puts his arm on Rosa's shoulders. "We expect a celebration next time, if fate permits."

Hermes bids goodbye to Brie. He embraces her and whispers, "I hope you can still help me with Rosa. By the way, you tasted sweet. And your lips felt like cotton." Hermes boards his car afterward. One of his securities closes the door. Then, his entourage speeds away.

The night suddenly becomes silent. Rosa wounds her arms around her husband's waist. She turns her head to check if Brie is still around. Graysen's eyes follow where his wife is looking.

They both watch the mesmerized appearance of Brie for half a minute. Rosa pats her manager's shoulder. "Time to go home."

Brie only stares at the couple but did not move. Rosa pushes her a bit to get her going.

Brie dazedly walks to her car until she sits inside and holds on to the steering wheel. She touches her lips. A smile emerges from it. She shivers recollecting what Hermes told her. She sighs and starts the engine.

The couple still hug each other until they cannot see Brie's car anymore. Graysen leans his forehead on hers. "I think your idea would have a good development in the future." He kissed her on the cheek. "Let's go home."

He leads Rosa toward their car. Paulus, who is always on alert by the time Hermes arrived, opens the door for them.

Hermes taps his fingers non-stop on the way home. His grin reaches from one ear to another. Seeing him from the rearview mirror, his driver cannot help but comment. "Boss, you look so happy tonight."

"Yup," Hermes responds nonchalantly. He raises his hand and puts two of his fingers on his lips. His face keeps beaming gazing outside the window while his two fingers tap his lips.

The couple arrive home. As soon as Rosa steps out of the car, Athena comes running to her and hugs her.

Rosa hugs her back. "Why aren't you sleeping yet?"

Nana Amor stands by the entrance door waiting for them to come in. She says, "Good evening Senator Graysen and Rosa. Athena has been waiting for you to arrive. She wants to show you something."

Graysen lifts the little girl. "Alright, what is it? Show it to us."

"It's in my room." Athena points upstairs. She puts her arms around Senator Graysen's neck and rests her head on his shoulder while he carries her going up.

Graysen keeps kissing Athena's cheeks until he lays her down in her bed. "Time to sleep so you can grow as pretty as your Mama Rosa."

Rosa leans on the other side of the bed. She holds the paper Athena handed to her. "You have done well, sweety. We are so proud of you. Perfect score in math! I think you'll be more popular than your father." Both girls giggle.

Rosa kisses Athena on her forehead. Senator Graysen laughs. He is happy for his daughter's tremendous improvement since she becomes attached to Rosa.
