Special executive assistant Mihai Albescu enumerates to Senator Graysen Andrei his schedules and appointments in the weeks to come. Graysen tugs on his neck tie while sitting in his Chamber office at seven o' clock in the morning.
He wishes he can have some breathing space. But he needs to tighten his hold on his political position and maintain his good image. Things start to heat up in the political arena because of the approaching election in less than a year.
The Ronian Liberal Party, the political party he belongs to, pushes him to run for the prime minister position. He cannot back down from this as his father Bitor Andrei has been gearing him up for this.
His father might not be a political figure but he works behind the scenes as a political adviser. The liberal party pioneers believes and respects his opinions as a known lawyer and business magnate in Ronia. They say Bitor Andrei always give them the best and most sound political moves.
In the course of pursuing his political ambition, he fails to spend time with Athena and Rosa.
In the Andrei villa, Rosa and Athena moves around the kitchen. Athena beats the egg and mixes the dough and butter in a bowl. Rosa turns on the baking oven, sets the temperature and warms it up. She puts the cake inside. She turns to Athena and they both scoop the dough mixture and drop small scoops on the parchment paper. They set aside the sponge cake to let it cool and place the tray of cookies inside the oven. The little girl then smashes crackers in a bowl. After smashing the cracker Rosa begins to make a fruit platter cracker cake while Athena helps in glazing and decorating the sponge cake. They waited for Senator Graysen to arrive so he can give his opinion to their new dessert recipes.
Athena puts her chin to on top of her arms resting on the island table. She puts in front of her a vintage alarm clock. Rosa gives Athena a glass of milk while she sips her fruit tea. The little girl stares at the rotating long hand of the analog clock. She starts to yawn.
Rosa realizes it is already 10 o' clock in the evening. She caresses Athena's hair telling her to go to her bedroom to sleep. The little girl nods and reaches for her alarm clock. Nana Amor stands from her corner seat to assist Athena before she sleeps.
It is already one o'clock in the morning when Graysen arrives. Rosa's head dangles on her palm as she drowses from waiting for her husband. The security positioned at mansion's patio informs Graysen that Rosa is still at the kitchen.
Graysen strides to the kitchen. He greets Rosa with a light kiss on the lips and turns his back to go upstairs. Rosa watches her husband walks away. She firmly keeps her lips tight. She stands up when she cannot see Graysen's shadow anymore.
She grumbles to herself, "Are you still human? You're like a wooden block. I wish you can be a toy for Reggu, Prego, Pruza, and Wizo."
She stuffs the desserts in the refrigerator and goes up the stairs, too, but she turns to Athena's door. She walks straight inside and lies down beside the sleeping little girl.
