Graysen comes out with Rosa in the morning to go to the hospital for her check-up with Dr. Anita Kloet.
Dr. Kloet leads them to the ultrasound room asking about the frequency of her cramps and if she has still some spotting. Rosa informs her that she got cramps from time to time but not as frequent. She only had another spotting the night before.
While the transducer scans Rosa, Dr. Anita widens her eyes once again. The sonogram reveals that the twin babies are a boy and a girl. Her hand holding the transducer trembles when she looks on the monitor again.
Dr. Kloet makes an eye contact with Senator Graysen. The senator notices the worry in Dr. Kloet's eyes. Anita knows that Rosa might get overly emotional with what she has to say. She decides to excuse herself to go out. Graysen follows her telling Rosa that he needs to go to the rest room.
Graysen follows the doctor to the fire exit. Dr. Kloet carefully explains to Graysen that both of the babies have no heartbeats anymore and they need to do a cesarian delivery on Rosa to get the babies out from her body or else Rosa might also die.
Senator Graysen calls his assistant Mihai to clear his schedule for the day and to represent him in important meetings and take down notes for him.
Anita as a friend approaches Rosa cautiously. She is on tenterhooks how to explain things to Rosa. She comes closer to her clasping Rosa's hand.
She breaks the silence asking her, "Rosa, how are you feeling?"
"Better, I think," Rosa casually replies.
"I have something to tell you but you got to listen to me," Anita gently admonishes her.
Rosa sighs, "You know I always listen to you more than Brie."
The doctor let the words out of her mouth, "We have to operate on you today or you will be in an impending danger."
Rosa glares at Anita, her head searching for reasons.
Anita tries to tell her as subtly as possible, "You're babies are not moving in your stomach and we have to do a cesarean section the soonest." Anita cannot utter the word dead.
Rosa inquires, "But how about the babies would they be safe if you operate on me?"
"Right now our priority is your safety, Rosa." Anita firmly justifies to her.
Rosa keeps inquiring, "But what would happen to my babies?"
Anita finally decides to reveal the whole fact. "The babies do not have any heartbeat. I'm afraid they're already dead."
Rosa's tears flows non-stop once Dr. Kloet drops the bomb. Graysen holds her as she keeps on sobbing. They give her a glass of water and wait for her to calm down.
Once she calms down, Anita checks her vitals and instructs a nurse to draw blood from her to get her sugar and cholesterol level before they put her on the operating table. Graysen stays with Rosa through out the ordeal. Brie, Madam Desta, her mother Violet, and her father Drago have been waiting outside the operating room when Rosa has been wheeled out going to the VIP ward. Modena and Bitor arrives with food and necessities for Rosa and Graysen. Nobody wants to speak after casually greeting each other. Dr. Kloet finds the people in the room sitting quietly while Rosa remains asleep with Graysen beside her bed.
