As soon as Nina heard it, her face twisted into an ugly grimace. Her probing green eyes communicated with Mian without a word spoken, from under corrugated eyebrows via their non-existent mind-link.
—People with sports cars are usually great drivers, with unflinching determination and lionhearted with indomitable adventurous ideas. Driving fast runs in their blood! You can't expect them to be law-abiding all the time!
—You want me to brief mommy daddy on your reckless driving?
—Go ahead. I promise not to restrain myself from informing them how you just stepped on the python's tail.
—Peace? Sensing the consequence of the threat, Mian offered, her eyes were alert with apprehension. Fully clued-up on her mother's nature, Mian knew for sure, that her mother wouldn't even allow her to step out of the home, if informed on the incident.
—Since you are begging…
With the expression of satisfaction, Nina's brows went back to their normal place. Different from the way, they were attracting each other like magnet when she wasn't pleased with her sister's threat.
After a brief period of waiting, Tang Jiu asked, "What were you saying, Mian?"
"Umm... there was a roughneck, who was eve teasing school girls, on the street yesterday, totally unaware of the fact that he had bird muck on his long hair. Thanks to Nin's height, she saw it and pointed it out for him." Mian stormed her genius brain for a second, and came up with the best possible response.
Nina let out a throaty chuckle and launched herself backwards with her shoulders trembling.
What an excuse! So hilarious!
"Yea! Such a strenuous job to disentangle those tiny little braids in order to shampoo the bird poop from his hair, right?"
Li Jingren's eyebrows aped up with a chuckle and Tang Jiu's thin shoulder moved up and down as she laughed.

In a long, intricately designed, wooden dining table, Old Madam Mu was sulking, as none of her younger grandsons was able to make it to her birthday banquet last night.
All the frolicsome childhood memories, funny jokes, the rib-tickling and uproarious recent incidents, her younger grandsons told her rebounded right off her long face.
Mu Ethan, Mu Yuhaan's second brother, was gesticulating him to give him a leg up in talking their grandma into forgiving them. He was a mighty handsome stud, who inherited his mother's British look with a pair of blue eyes, long slender nose, and thin pink lips.
However, as expected, Mu Yuhaan turned a blind eye towards him. He lazily picked up his coffee mug, ignoring the anxious mutterings of his brother and took a sip. His fingers were slender with refined knuckles.
Mu Ethan arched his neck with helplessness, and happened to look at the large Jack-O-Lantern with triangular eyes, and witch-y, mile-wide zigzag smile, which seemed to laugh at him sardonically from the garden's porch.
Well, it was not Halloween yet! Just one of the weirdest things, his grandmother loved, for these to hang there all around the years.
'Damn it!'
"Granny, I am really sorry, I couldn't attend your birthday banquet last night. Trust me, I tried my best, but my manager was very strict this time. You won't believe, I was literally in the middle of shooting when I finally escaped from there, under the pretext of using the washroom; and immediately boarded the plane and flew here this morning." Mu Ethan reasoned with his grandmother, his tone had an anxious quality, as she was displaying the unprecedented sullenness.
Just then, a tall figure blocked out the light from the doorway and both Mu Evan and Mu Ethan looked up to find their grandfather watching them.
A smug, conceited and self-congratulatory smirk played across Mu Hanqiu's lips. He was enjoying the scene; to be more specific, he was loving it.
Mu Hanqiu couldn't enjoy a happy and contented married life, and was neglected and starving ever since these two brothers were born. Well, although his wife loved Mu Yuhaan most, he was not jealous of the latter. Only because, unlike his shameless younger brothers, Mu Yuhaan had always been calm and quiet, not clingy at all. He had never disturbed or interfered between his grandfather and grandmother's lovey-dovey moments.
The Old Man was a fierce and powerful man, who could not tolerate another man near his nest, yet on account of these imp's bloodline, he had to stay put with it. However, the idea of his wife loving his grandsons more than him didn't sit quite well with him. The potentate was unequivocally averse to the change.
Mu Evan glanced at the 'unable to suppress' mordacious smirk on his grandfather's face. He could almost hear the snide old meanie laugh tauntingly!
"And about me? Granny, you already know that unlike my first and second brother, I don't have anything called independence. Being a NASA scientist is not easy at all. They don't let me step out of the territory, unless it's extremely necessary." Mu Evan said.
Although, in terms of look, he fell inferior to his brothers' outstanding charming appearance, Mu Evan carried the air of serenity from head to toe, which backed it up for him.
"I just finished a project yesterday morning, and they were very elated with my performance. Taking the chance, I begged them many times to let me come here for your birthday banquet as my reward, only then they finally permitted me." Unlike Mu Ethan, this one explained very tranquilly. His voice was very calm, as if he had reached the nirvana stage.
Old Madam Mu's face appeared to have softened. In actuality, she knew her grandsons loved her. Still, she couldn't help but become upset, when she heard one of her friends whispering to other old ladies last night, "Now that Old Mu became old, her value in the family got decreased. Therefore, none of her son, daughter-in-law, and two younger grandsons attended her birthday party."
Albeit, deep inside her heart, she knew it was not true, but she couldn't help becoming upset. Above that, her son and daughter-in-law both worked for WHO, and most of the time they also couldn't make it to any family function.
"No man could be too busy for the person they loved! It's just the matter of priority." Mu Hanqiu said wearing a sarky smirk, as he pulled up a chair.
Mu Ethan, who was already hopping mad, gnashed. The antagonistic side of him wanted to liberate his emotional build-up, and twist his dear grandfather's neck backward!
