Chapter 53 - My Headache Pinched Me, No What I Meant, It Got Acute All Of A Sudden!

Mu Yuhaan was wearing casual clothes; a pair of ragged jeans with a navy blue shirt, and donning a pair of white sneakers. Looking at shirt's sleeves, one could see the bulge of his biceps, and averting the gaze a little around, his broad-shouldered and muscular body.

In order to avoid unwanted attention, Mu Yuhaan didn't wear his signature mask, instead used a Louis Vuitton's black mask with blue sunglasses.

The receptionist's widened eyes bespoke shock, as they reflected his inner feeling. He couldn't help but instantly take a double look at the business card, then felt like the ground was moving away from under his feet.

Mu Yuhaan! The Great Mu Yuhaan, Asia's Richest Business Man, and The Underworld's Leader was there in front of him?! It never factored in his mind, one day he would be fortunate enough to get a sight of this God!

He turned up a nervous smile, however, his brain wasn't operating at his normal pace. Instead, he kept staring at Mu Yuhaan without blinking.

Unbeknownst to the receptionist, a tempest of impatience was looming in Mu Yuhaan's eyes, behind the sunglasses; and it was ominously close to wreck and ruin. "NOW!" He said, putting pressure on every letter.

These two syllables were enough to put the receptionist back on sense. "Yes, Master Mu." He handed an emergency token to Mu Yuhaan with his shaky hands.

"His problem was a bit complicated, with the disposition for virus and bacteria to clump together. In a very early stage, the virus revealed its evident inclination for the most injured part of the brain."

"....."

"Although, the bacteria were incapable of generating the molecules found in his injury, they were very attracted to molecules' presence and happily colluded, fostering more life-threatening situations."

"....."

"Yes, he suffered from a minor concussion to the head. However, the after care was poor and erroneous, which resulted in his injury getting infected. Now, he requires at least three weeks of proper care by a qualified and practised nurse to put him back on feet again. It's up to them, whether they want to do it in hospital or at home." Inside her chamber, Mian was talking to the director over intercom regarding a patient who was director Fu's relative.

She was clad in her white uniform; a color which created a cozy and pure image, also blended with her skin tone just perfectly. Inside that she wore a pink top with off-shoulder neck that put the sexy collarbone on display. Her hair was tied in a high sleek ponytail. With Mian sitting upright, her long slender neck was perfectly shown off.

When Mu Yuhaan and Wang Eric entered, with a cursory glance, Mian gestured to them to sit down.

"Okay, when patient's family members come from abroad, send them to my chamber. As I mentioned before, I can't afford to give you more than two minutes now, have patients to check. Bye."

A second later Mian put the telephone back on the table, she was taken back seeing Mu Yuhaan, as the latter took off his glass and mask.

Mu Yuhaan's sudden visit resurrected the unpleasant memories from this morning in Mian's head.

He must have left the door with a heart full of dejection...

Truth be told, after shutting the door on Mu Yuhaan's face, Mian was left with a tumult of self-reproach. She made a mental note to send a platter of breakfast to Mu Yuhaan's apartment next day to palliate her guilty conscience over the morning's rude behaviour.

When Mian came to, Mu Yuhaan already took the seat in front of her. He was staring at her from the beginning; apparently, didn't have any intent to initiate the exchange, instead, wanted Mian to talk to him. His gaze searched her face, his chest tightened with fear of getting treated with apathy again.

Although, on the surface, Mu Yuhaan kept his cool, his eyes slightly shook, then turned several shades darker than usual.

After regaining her composure, Mian broke the silence. "Why are you here Mr. Mu? Are you all right?"

Mu Yuhaan's lips broke into a gentle smile slowly, as her warm voice went through his ears.

Mian had just talked to him! She was not angry with him anymore! Was she concerned about him?!

Mu Yuhaan felt butterflies in his stomach, but externally, he managed to be neutral. He nodded his head, "Don't worry about me, I'm fine. He has been having a severe headache recently." He pointed his finger towards Wang Eric.

"That's right. I'm having a headache here." Wang Eric showed Mian his right side of head. He was worried that his acting might be not realistic enough, thus he made a pained expression by bumping his eyebrows hard.

Mian shifted her attention to Wang Eric, then asked, "How long have you been having this headache?"

"For 10 minutes now."

Mian knitted her eyebrows at Wang Eric, as his words generated confusion within her for a second. "What I meant is not now. When did you start having this headache for the first time?"

Mu Yuhaan became a bit empurpled imperceptibly by the fellow's denseness. He couldn't leave this stupid in his own device. Thus, despite unwillingness, he had to pinch Wang Eric hard under the table to bring him on track.

Wang Eric understood immediately that he said something he should not have, as he could feel the dragon aura Mu Yuhaan was emitting. He subconsciously swallowed his saliva, and tried to redeem the situation, "Oh, that? Seven years ago maybe when I ouch..." His face contorted in pain.

Mian was startled in her seat by Wang Eric's sudden shriek. "What happened? Why did you shriek suddenly? Are you all right?" As a doctor, she asked worriedly.

Mu Yuhaan also looked at his assistant; as if he was very worried, and he asked, "Wang Eric, has your headache worsened? That's why you shrieked, right?"

Wang Eric's soul flew away from his body, hearing his boss's concerned tone. However, his instinct and years of experience was telling him, danger was emerging, and it would destroy him if he couldn't get himself in the role immediately.

He immediately looked at Mian, and started speaking like a parrot, "The President is absolutely correct, Dr. Mian. It's my headache. My headache just pinched me, no what I meant, it got acute all of a sudden. Now, it's gone again, I mean tolerable."
