"Are we doing this or what?" Sebastian and I ask in unison.
"We're doing it." The boy says.
"We'll go to the sparring ring." Randolph whispers, clearly worried.
"You lot go ahead, Randolph and I will catch up to you." I demand.
No one says anything just goes.
"Are you sure about this?" He asks again.
"Yes. Baby, listen to me. I know what I'm doing. I gained my reputation by doing things like this. Okay?"
"Yeah, okay. Beth?"
"Hmm." Was my only reply.
"I know we have only known each other for a couple of hours, but, I care about you more than I have ever cared about anyone. If anything was to –"
"Don't finish that sentence, I've been training in combat for more than half my life, seven days a week. Ready to go?" I whisper.
"No, I want a kiss first." He demands. I giggle and give him his kiss. "Now let's go." He chuckles.
We soon arrive in the sparring ring. Where everyone is assembled.
"What do you think, sis?" Sebastian asks, referring to the space.
"Yes, we had less back in the day." I say.
"What are your rules?" The girl asks us.
"No deaths. We save that for next time." Sebastian says.
"In that case," I say trailing off. "Randolph, will you hold these, please?"
"Of course." He says. I hand him all my weapons, including my shoes. "Why did you take your shoes off?"
"They have knives in the heel." I reply sharply. "We gonna do this or what?" I ask Sebastian and the other two.
"Indeed we are." The girl says.
"Good. Ramona, count us in."
"3, 2, 1. Go." She shouts out and immediately the siblings pounce.
A split second before the girl reaches me, I side step, and she falls face first on the floor. After five minutes, I look to Sebastian and nod at him, this is our signal to go all out on our opponents.
"Corri tori." (Run bull) I say to the girl. She growls and charges at me. This time I run at her too.
When we collide, I over power her and shove her into the edge of the ring. As she falls to the floor, I pick her up by the collar and throw her away. Her exhaustion is showing by now. To finish our fight off, I punch her temple, causing her to fall to the ground unconscious.
I look to Sebastian and see he is sitting on the floor catching his breath. Our eyes meet and we nod in unison before our mates rush over to us and inspect us for any injuries.
"How didn't they lay a finger on you two?" Randolph asks me.
"Our training is intense." I say.
"Clearly." He says, before kissing me. "I'm so fucking proud of you." He pants after we end the kiss.
"Thank you." I giggle breathlessly. After a wile of standing there, we pull away, to find his parents standing there smiling at the four of us. "It's nice to meet you Mr. and Mrs. Stoner." I say politely.
"Yes, we apologise for the way you had to see us." Sebastian asks.
"It's no bother, and please call us Emma and Shawn." Randolph and Ramona's mother says.
I grin and say, "Well it's nice to meet the people who raised my mate." I then look to Sebastian and realise that Harry probably felt our surge of power. "Seby, Harry probably felt that." I say seriously.
"Well, it was nice to know you all, being as we are going to die now." Sebastian says, semi serious.
"Who's Harry?" Shawn asks.
"Our uncle." I barely get out when my phone starts ringing. I check it and it's Harry's name. "We have to take this. We'll talk to you more later." I say and peck Randolph on the cheek and walk out with Sebastian on my tail. I answer as soon as we have exited the hall.
"What the hell was that?" Harry asks.
"We were fighting for our mates." Sebastian says.
"Not even one day, and you're already being challenged for your mates." Harry states.
"It ain't funny Harry." I say.
"Right well, I've got to go. The agency think you're gonna turn them in to the Poseidon pack, and I can't be thought about as an accomplice."
"We know, Alek told us." I say.
