Chapter 7 - Meeting The Parents

After Harry ended the phone call, Sebastian and I joined our mates and their parents. They were all talking when Sebastian decided to talk to me.

"That was close, we're lucky he's in Los Santos." He says, with his face paled.

"You got that right." I say sharply.

"How did it go?" Ramona asks us.

"Let's just say we're lucky he's not here." I say.

"That bad?" Randolph asks.

"Worse." I giggled.

"Sorry about that Shawn and Emma." Sebastian says. "Our uncle is a little overprotective since we left Rome. By the way my name is Sebastian."

"And my name is Bethany." I chime in.

"What happened in Rome?" Emma asks curiously.

"We were shot." I said. "When we went to surgery it took them thirteen hours to complete mine and three to complete Sebastian's."

"Oh, how did your uncle know about your battle just then?"

"After Rome he got Celeste, our witch, to cast a spell on the three of us. So if any of the three of us are in pain, mentally or physically, the other knows." Sebastian explains.

"If you were in pain how didn't we see it?" Randolph asks me.

"Our exhaustion levels were extremely high, and almost caused permanent injuries, that's why we ended it quickly." I whisper.

Randolph just nods at me. "Hey, guys, I'm gonna show Beth to our room." He tells the group.

"Okay, see y'all later." Sebastian says.

"C'mon babe." Randolph says to me, and places his hand on my back.

"Wait, I need to gather my things."

"Ah, yes." Randolph agrees.

I bend down to put my shoes on and sling my machete over my back via its strap.

"Hey sis, why did you keep all those weapons a secret?" Sebastian asks me.

"I have a witch, called Penelope, casting spells on them, for easier wins." I answer.

Randolph chuckles at me, and asks: "You ready baby?"

"Yes, definitely." I grin.

As we arrive outside the bedroom door, Randolph stops me.

"If you don't like something, tell me, and I'll change it. Okay?" He says extremely nervous.

"Babe, I'm sure I'll love it, and if I don't, I will learn to love it," I say aloud, but in my mind I'm thinking 'like I did with you'.

"Fine, open the door baby girl." He finishes in a whisper.

I do and the sight in front of me leaves me breathless, the decor was amazing, the colour scheme was blue and white, he had a small desk facing the floor to ceiling wall of windows. He had a couch and a chair at opposite sides of the room, and a television mounted on the wall facing the queen sized bed which was placed in the middle of the room. The carpet was cream and fluffy, his curtains were navy blue with white stripes.

As I was surveying the room I hadn't said anything and my silence was getting to Randolph.

"Do you like it?" He asked cautiously.

"Like it? Randolph this is amazing." I say breathlessly, as I finish my sentence I see all the tension leak out of his body.

"Thank goodness, your silence was scaring me." He says, relief evident in his voice.

"I could tell. Randolph?"

"Yeah?"

"Can we have a nap?" I ask shyly.

"Of course you can, baby." He says.

"No, you and me, together." I state more firmly.

"Already trying to get me in bed with you?" He smirks.

"Fine. I'll just go to sleep on my own." I say feigning anger. "I did want to cuddle with my mate, but no, he has to be an ass about it." I grumble. "It's not even a big deal you know." I add.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you mad, I actually want to cuddle with you too." He says guiltily.

"It's okay." I chirp. "I wasn't actually mad at you." I giggle. "Now, which door leads where?" I ask referring to the two doors in the room.

"Well," he whispers onto my ear. "That one leads to the walk-in-closet." He points to the one on the left of us. "And that one leads to the bathroom." He says motioning to the door on the right. "There's an empty half in the closet, for your clothes, and extra toiletries in the bathroom, if you need them." He adds.

"Wow." I whisper staring at his face. "You really are spectacular." I finish.
