"I've got news!" said Ariel as she appeared out of nowhere.
They all jumped backwards due to the surprise appearance.
"Whoa! Don't just show up like that!" said Lucas while holding his chest and breathing heavily.
"Sorry about that! I didn't mean to scare you guys. But I've been assigned to be your supervisor, Quint! That means I'll be here in human form and be around you 24/7. That way we can make sure we you have a 100% mission success rate!" informed Ariel.
"Or they just sent you to babysit me," said Quint.
"No, no, it's not like that," said Ariel while closing her eyes and waving her hands nervously.
"What did the Celestials say to do next?" asked Quint.
"Well knowing the Imperials, expect for them to come after you and your friends," stated Ariel.
"When they come, we'll be ready!" interjected Shay.
"Now that I'll be here for now on, I can teach you to be a proper Demon Hunter. I thought that since your mother was a Demon Hunter she would teach you some things, but I should've known that she wouldn't. She doesn't exactly get along with the High Celestials," mentioned Ariel.
Shay walked over to Ariel and said, "You may want to get rid of the wings if you're going to walk among us."
Ariel lightly tapped her forehead due to forgetting to hide her wings. She quickly made them disappear and said proudly, "There! How's that?!"
Quint and Lucas stared at her while blushing and snickering. Shay and Simone rushed over to cover Ariel. When Ariel entered her human form, she was butt naked from head to toe.
"Stop looking perverts!" shouted Shay and Simone.
"She's the one that got naked!" screamed Lucas and Quint.
Shay and Simone took Ariel upstairs to get her some clothes.
=============================
Earlier that day in Spirit World, Ariel was approached by a High Celestial with the number 21 on his chest. This High Celestial was much more younger than the others, but just as wise and as powerful as the others. He was 6 foot 3, white, and dressed in a golden garb, absent wings.
"Ariel!" yelled out the High Celestial as he ran towards Ariel attempting to catch up to her.
Ariel turned to the voice and answered, "Yes?"
"I just heard about your assignment! You do know why they're making you supervise that Demon Hunter, right?" asked 21.
"To ensure mission success, Sir," replied Ariel.
"Sure, that may be true, but there's more to it. Remember, things are never simple when it comes to us High Celestials. Do you know who that boy is and why he was revived?" questioned 21.
"Ummmm…I just know that he's the son of the legendary Demon Hunter Mary Tate. Granted I didn't know at the time, but I learned this later. And he was revived because we didn't have room for him here," answered Ariel after she pondered 21's question.
"Come on, do we ever run out of room and how often do the High Celestials interfere with a person dying. When was the last time one of us ever had such an order? Let me enlighten you," said 21.
He proceeded to tell Ariel why the High Celestials ordered her to supervise Quint.
=============================
As Ariel was getting dressed, she contemplated whether or not she should tell Quint what she had discussed with the High Celestial. Ultimately, she decided not to. She felt like the information would change Quint's goals, his way of thinking, and change Quint himself.
Ariel came back downstairs with Shay and Simone wearing clothes that were a little too small for her. She was taller than Shay and had the figure of a woman, unlike Shay.
Quint and Lucas burst out laughing at Ariel and how silly she looked in the small clothes.
"These were the only clothes that could fit her!" announced Shay whole slowly becoming annoyed at the boys.
"Don't get upset, Shay, Quint can take me shopping tomorrow for some clothes, right Quint?" said Ariel with a cute smile.
Quint started to blush really hard. He hadn't noticed up until now, but Ariel was a real beauty and her body was to die for. Simone looked at Quint and became angry. Quint looked over at Simone and stopped blushing and started to look guilty.
"Ummm…why not have Shay or Simone take you? I think they'll be better at helping you pick out clothes," suggested Quint.
"Yea, we don't mind taking you," said Shay while looking at Simone for approval.
Simone stared at her blankly and then nodded.
"That's nice of you guys, but Quint must accompany. I have to be with him constantly. Especially in the case that he is attacked," said Ariel.
"Looks like we're all going shopping tomorrow!" said Lucas excitedly.
Quint looked at him because he was forced into a day of shopping when he would rather sleep in and get some rest and quite frankly, he thought that Lucas was enjoying this pain. Lucas put his arm around Quint and his face was full of delight knowing that he is going to enjoy watching Quint suffer tomorrow.
"It's about time I head home," said Simone as she started to head to the door.
Quint hurriedly ran to the door and said, "I'll wait with you outside," and then he opened the door.
He and Simone sat outside on the front porch of the house. There was a long silence. Quint turned towards her and stared intently. Simone averted her gaze from him. He still looked her way.
"Why is he staring at me? Does he have something to say to me? Will he kiss me? I wish he would just do it or say that he likes me!" thought Simone as she looked at Quint and then away from him and then back to him.
Before she knew it, Quint's face had gotten closer to hers. She looked even more nervous.
"Simone," said Quint softly.
"Yes," replied Simone as she began blushing.
"Don't move," whispered Quint.
Simone gulped and nodded her head, ready to receive the impending kiss.
"Stay just like that," said Quint.
Quint then grabbed a spider that was resting on Simone's shoulder. This had surprised Simone. She closed her eyes and held her head down in shame.
"Is something wrong, Simone?" asked Quint.
"No!" said Simone excitedly while using have gestures showing that she's ok.
"I know that it must've been hard to kill for the first time. I could feel that demon's energy disappear as I fought Tupp," said Quint.
"Oh, can I tell you something? I didn't kill the demon. I made sure he couldn't fight any longer, but The Being was the one to kill him. It took over just to do that. It has never done that before and I don't know how to feel about it. I know that it did it so that the demon couldn't come back for revenge, it was almost like it was protecting me. At the same time, it did go against wishes. I told it that I didn't want to kill the demon, but it took over anyway," explained Simone.
"Hmmmmmm …ask it what its intentions were," responded Quint.
"Just be straightforward huh? I guess your mom was right, you are a bit simple," said Simone.
Quint felt a little offended by the comment and said, "I don't know how to feel about that."
"I'm sorry! I just meant that I admire it. I wish I could be more like that instead of always over analyzing things. I think I'll be happier if I was more like you in that regard," said Simone with a smile on her face.
After she said that, a car pulled up and the driver stepped out and opened the back passenger seat door.
"I got to go. I'll see you tomorrow at the mall," said Simone as she got up and walked to the car while waving good bye.
"See you tomorrow," said Quint as he waved back.
Quint was happy that he had a better understanding of Simone and the type of person she was. He imagined that she must've had a pretty lonely life due to the Being inside of her. He then swore to himself that he would help her gain control of it.
