Two days had gone by and Ariel had moved into the Tate residence. Mary had returned home from her conference yesterday and was upset to know that a celestial was staying at her house. So things around the house has been pretty touchy. Quint, Shay, Ariel, and Mary all sat at the dinner table eating lunch.
"So, Ariel, how long are you going to be here?" asked Mary while starting daggers at Ariel.
Ariel nervously said, "Umm…until I'm assigned elsewhere. By the way, thank you for allowing me to stay here, even though you have bad history with Celestials."
"Just know that if you try anything sneaky with my son, I will personally kill you in the slowest way possible and then I'll go after those High Celestial," said Mary sternly.
"Mom!" said Quint and Shay while looking at Mary.
"It's ok guys. I know why your mom is not too keen on me right now. She has every right not to trust me," said Ariel while holding her head down and tears start to swell up in her eyes.
"No!" said Quint, "Even if you have issues with the High Celestials, you should treat her with respect. I'm sure she had nothing to do with the High Celestials and whatever beef you have with them. She gave me my life back and you should be grateful because of that."
Mary stood up from the table looking pissed and walked away. Ariel looked up and smiled at Quint.
"Thanks," said Ariel as she attempted to hold her fake smile.
"I just don't like to see people being mistreated for things they had nothing to do with," responded Quint.
"I think you should think about how mom feels also. I mean there must be a reason why Mom feels the way she feels," said Shay to Quint.
Quint thought about what Shay said as they all continued to eat.

In the Demon World, the Four Imperials gathered again in front of a portal to Charleston City before Joan's departure.
"If you walk through the portal, you will be in Charleston City," said Tupp.
Joan looked at Tupp suspiciously and said, "My faction and I will succeed where you failed. Prepare to go forward with the ritual upon my return."
"I know that you can do it, Joan. Just remember what I told you about the shrimp. Don't take him lightly or he will overwhelm you," warned Tupp as he smiled at her.
"These guys will be a piece of cake. I've slain many Demon Hunters and these will be no different," said Joan as she walked through the portal with her two faction members.

Mary had felt the presence of three demons appearing in Charleston City.
"I could take care of them and burn off some steam, but I'd much rather watch my students face the challenge," thought Mary as she went walked through the house to inform Shay, Ariel, and Quint.
"We should call Lucas and Simone and let them know," said Shay.
"I'm sure that they will be able to sense the three demons and your energies. Learn to use everything you have as a tool to communicate with each other," said Mary while folding her arms, "Now go and confront the demons that's attacking your city!"
Quint, Shay, and Ariel ran to the source of the demon energies.

Earlier that day, Lucas woke up on his mattress that sat on the floor. He thought about what happened last night, about how he had to take care of his mom because he had overdosed on heroin. This had been a regular thing, even to the point where he can almost predict the nights that she would overdose. He had to hold her hair when she puked and maintain her body temperature while she was unconscious.
"I'm tired, I didn't get enough sleep and now I have to take care of mom and make sure she eats. Today is going to drag on forever. Wake up mom! We have to go to the hospital so they can work on you," said Lucas to his unconscious mother.
Lucas tapped her, but she didn't wake up like usual. He grabbed her by the shoulders an shook her a bit, but she didn't react. He noticed that her body was cool. He stood her up on her feet, but her legs were like noodles. He then checked her pulse on her neck and it was very faint. Lucas became frantic and called 911.
"Hello! Hello! It's my mom! She's cold and not breathing!!" yelled Lucas to the operator.
"Please remain calm and tell us what happened," said the operator calmly.
"My mom overdosed and now she's cold and barely breathing!" said Lucas franticly.
"Alright sir! Give us your address and I can have an ambulance sent there in 20 minutes," said the operator.
"20 minutes!! That's too long!" shouted Lucas as he hung up on the call.
He picked up his mother and tossed her over his shoulder. Ran out the front door of their house. He was in such a hurry that he left the front door wide open. Anyone could have just walked in the house while he and his mother was gone, but he didn't care. At the time, he was only worried about her. He began running to the hospital.

Earlier that day in Simone's home, she woke up feeling refreshed and actually looked forward to her day. You see, normally Simone would dread thinking about plans for the day. She would always have appointments and obligations on to of one another, but today was different. She had friends now. Friends that accepted her for who she was, not for what she can do for them. Most people tested her nice because they know that she's the daughter of the 10th richest families in the world. She got used to people who only wanted to take advantage of her for money or position. Quint, Shay, Lucas, and Ariel had all been treating her genuinely nice.
"Everyone will be here later to hangout. I better get up and get everything ready," said Simone aloud.
She then jumped out of bed, showered, and got dressed. She wore a white summer dress with red flowers on them. She looked in the mirror and thought to herself, "I wonder if he'll like this."
She levitated down stairs and asked her assistant, "How is everything going? Will the lunch be ready by the time friends get here, Melanie?"
"Yes ma'am. Everything is on schedule," responded Melanie.
Melanie is a nineteen year old student that's currently interning for Simone's family. She hopes to one day be apart of one of the businesses they run.
"Thanks so much! You're very appreciated," said Simone.
"Is there anything else that you need ma'am?" asked Melanie as she followed behind Simone.
"No, not at the moment. I'll let you know. In the meanwhile, take a break, you've earned it," said Simone as she continue to levitate towards the garden.
"Thank you ma'am. And might I say, that is a lovely dress you have on. Is there a boy coming?" asked Melanie.
Simone began to blush and said, "Yes and there will be two, but we're all strictly friends."
"It's just that I've never seen you so happy and you've been using your powers so freely lately. That summer trip must have been quite a good time," mentioned Melanie as she watched for Simone's reaction.
Simone smiled and said, "Yea, I met some good friends and I was even more happy that they live here in Charleston City."
"Well it's nice to see you happy, ma'am," said Melanie as she turned around and walked away.
Simone pulled her phone out and was getting ready to send a group text to everyone to ask them if they were still coming, but then she felt the presence of three strong demons.
