''Lilly Morel, stop right there.'' A man in his twenties rushed behind a crying young woman with an angry expression. ''You dare to slap her? Lilly!''
Lilly Morel stopped as she heard his yell and turned her crying face towards him. ''Why? What did I do wrong? She was your lover. You cheated on me all these years with the woman that caused me to lose our baby. Hit her? Do you think that the light slap is enough for what she did to me? Don't you even dare to say one word...''
Her body shook as she held her chest tightly. With tears on her face and pearls sliding down her face she stumbled and fell down. ''My medicine.''
The man, her husband she married ten years ago just stood there and blankly looked at the glass bottle that rolled towards his feet. He could see her face changing colors as she started coughing. With determination, he rose tips of his shoes and stopped the bottle to roll further away.
Lilly Morel looked at him and saw something flashing in his eyes. Her breathing became heavy. ''You can't do this. Matt, YOU can't do this to me...''
But Mattew Owen just stood there and silently watched her eyes becoming glossy as her breath became unsteadier. ''Maybe it is time for you to leave. She lived horrible ten years because she felt bad about your loss.'' He didn't say 'our', so Lilly felt deep pain from the inside out. His voice was devoid of emotions. ''At that time I already loved her, but couldn't let you stay alone at that moment. Year after year, I tried to find reasons to let you go. But you would or get sick or have strange accidents. I am tired. Please Lilly, let me go.''
Lilly Morel closed her eyes and tears started coming out of them. Even tho it was hard to even breathe, she tried to speak. ''You could have just told me that you didn't feel anything for me. I would have been hurt and would probably rage for a while, but would have let you go. Why didn't you?''
Mattew Owen rose his foot and stomped on the medicine bottle. His face became cold. ''Because if I divorced you, everything would be gone. All my partners loved you. If you die now they will feel bad for me for a while. It will be long enough to recover a bit and then I'll marry Tracy in time. She found out she has been pregnant and I can finally have my won family. You are useless now anyway.''
''Good to know. Matt, if there is another life, let's never meet again. I next life just marry Tracy right away, please.'' Lilly could feel her life slipping away as her heart hurt more and more. With her last breath, she looked at him and as the last tear slid from the corner of her eye, she died.
Mattew Owen felt coldness enveloping his heart. Why does it feel like she cursed him?
He called the hospital and played a crying husband, but what he didn't know was that there was a security camera running and the young security worker found it disgusting as he saw it. Not considering if he would get fired he put the whole video online, turning Mattew's life into hell.
He lost everything. He was sentenced for life and Tracy came once to visit him. With excitement, he looked at her bulging belly and smiled. ''How is my son?''
''Your son? He is dead. Oh yeah, you didn't know... Lilly was pregnant again. I guess she didn't know as well.'' Tracy patted her belly and smiled at him. ''This is not your baby. It is David's. We are getting married tomorrow. Wish us luck.''
He stood up and started banging with his fists at the security glass, making it bloody. ''David's? Ten years I loved you. Why did you do that?''
''Why not?'' She just shrugged and saw him being dragged out. ''After all, I like doing stuff like that. It's fun.'' Her eyes changed and she took out the pillow under her shirt.
As she walked towards the street she saw a cute looking couple and smiled brightly. ''Interesting... And how long will you two last?'' She opened a bit of her shirt, rose her skirt a bit up and smiled brightly at the young man that had a flabbergasted expression.
As she passed him she lowered her sunglasses and winked at him.
The woman next to him froze as he stopped and turned his head after Tracy, but smiled. ''You like it?''
''Girl, are you crazy. Does that woman think she is pretty? Tsk. I am prettier, ma I not?'' His voice was loud enough to make Tracy stumbled as she realized who she just tried to charm. She turned her head and saw a despising look on both faces and blushed.
The man rolled his eyes and turned around. ''Oh please. Let's go before the idiocy doesn't come close to us. Come, I need to tell you about the man I met last night. Such a gorgeous face, I must say...''
This was the first time in Tracy's life someone looked down on her, but not the last. Lilly's curse hit her as well and her life turned from then one into living hell. But that is another story...
